Branden Grace the top pick? Westwood? Wiesberger? Schwartzel?
LMAO these are terrible
Schwartzel would be mineBranden Grace the top pick? Westwood? Wiesberger? Schwartzel?
Seriously????Dustin Johnson resigns from PGA Tour to play LIV Golf
Seriously????
Seriously????
He’s jokingYes, why wouldn't he? Just like Kevin Na did. It's a strategic move so they can't be "suspended" or put on leave. They're no longer members so can't be punished. And can still play in the majors. It's the smart thing to do.

It sounds like the teams will change every week, with the captains remaining the same for each week (not sure about this)...so maybe Grace is someone DJ thinks plays that course well or knows it better than others? Seems a bit odd to me too, but just trying to find a reason.
Yup.Interesting note from the Athletic about a young player like Piot, that you are in a no cut event where you are guaranteed $120k for showing up. He’d rather than do that than struggle with cuts on the PGA Tour. It’s less work for more money.
DJ looked washed to me. He knows he can’t keep up anymore on tour. He wasn’t going to win another event.
I do think those 2nd tier euros are who is gonna be the base of the tour in a few years if it's still going
Was talking with a few friends about it last night and he was consensus guy who we thought would be next 'big name' to jump
Do they want a ROI?
These people have billions to waste
Are we not sure that they just wanted to have a professional sports league , and this relatively speaking to other ones has a pretty low cost of entry
Ummm...think you're trolling but duh lolThey couldn’t get a network deal? Or think networks wouldn’t touch em?
Just a macro first blush, I think this works. With half of it in the US, either way it’s a gotta be the biggest move in golf in forever right?
Tiger at this point in his career has no reason to be part of this.Wonder if Tiger is holding out for a billion, cause surely he'd bring it back in worldwide
DJ is the start. Tiger is the finish
The reason why if they offer him a billion he can't turn it down right? It's what 8 matches?Tiger at this point in his career has no reason to be part of this.
He's down to basically majors as it is.

I smell two, well now three deleted posts incomingOn the other hand, being down to basically majors is the exact reason he would make the jump. All of these guys will be able to play the majors, the USGA isn’t the PGA and they won’t stop them from playing.
You are a bit smarter than this.On the other hand, being down to basically majors is the exact reason he would make the jump. All of these guys will be able to play the majors, the USGA isn’t the PGA and they won’t stop them from playing.
Nothing was "gotten" at all.I smell two, well now three deleted posts incoming
That's my father you're talking about but damn you got him
Then again if you lived here would you really care at this point about Saudi money?

8 matches alone is a lot more than he's willing to play at this point, and we haven't even included the majors. The reason why if they offer him a billion he can't turn it down right? It's what 8 matches?
Then again he turned down 900 million.
You are a bit smarter than this.
A few things...
First of all, Tiger has basically indicated he's mostly majors only now. Why would he want to add a brand new schedule when this does nothing for his legacy?
Go ahead and re-read the USGA statement from today. Their wording is pretty interesting and would lead one to believe that this may not be the case next year.
One last thing... Do you think Tiger is going to give up potential chances for Ryder Cup captaincy etc? Again, that will be fluid but we have seen DJ is already concerned about this aspect.
Let's go back 10 years and I could see the scenario being totally different for Tiger.
Good point I should have mentioned. You are not required for all events. No, I don’t necessarily think he will do it, I was just playing Devil’s advocate. You only need to play half of the LIV events to be included in the end of the year money/bonuses, and can still play the majors so it’s not entirely out of the realm of possibility but I don’t think Tiger would ever do it.
