BC : The fade of the A's is unreal, they are now 2-18 since July 13th. I am adding the Reds as a team I will be fading till seasons end. Both these teams should be faded till seasons end , no exceptions whats so ever.

Detroit RL looks too good to be true at +130... i thought it would be around +110

look at how well detroit hits LHSP.... the utlimate fade system right now (fade the a's), a's struggle to put up runs, oak hitting .234 against lhsp on the road, and rogers has put up good numbers against the a's in the past

definitely takign a look at this one

 I was taking the A's when they were at home facing the Royals and got my ass kicked. Since then, I've been fading them and their sorry offense and it's been nice.

I don't like what the White Sox are doing right now so early look at the Red Sox, leans TB -1 and NYY ML.

still far from playing anything, this is just what I'm looking at.

Looking at Brad Penny's numbers before he got injured

in 10 starts the guy baloons his ERA from 2.89 to 5.88. Whoa.

First glance Penny -115 over Zito.

saw that too.... penny's first game back from injury i think i actually like zito here. i hate to say it.....last time zito faced the dodgers he had an excellent outing going 7 innings giving up 2 ER's and k'ing TEN.

last 4 of 5 starts for him have been quality starts barring the zona game.... while penny has been awful all year long and why not fade him first game back form injury? giants have been hitting RHSP decently, compared to their immense struggles against LHSP where theyre a great fade/under play

pitt/philly total at 9.5 looks a bit high- as well as blanton and maholm have both pitched recently.... possibly because philly got shutout today and books are looking for a offensive explosion?? or could it be that theyre hitting nearly .330 in the last 10 against LHSP... damn.

under sparks my interest here still....will wait to see whos behind the dish

Zito still gets no run support, and this is a different Dodger team now.
I'm counting on Penny being ready to go here. I'll look again in the morning.

I like Detroit too, but Kenny looks a bit off to me last few starts. -160 against a reeling A's team seems too easy.

Goodnight guys.

This is the Tigers last stand - all those recent losses mean they have no more room for error - the A's catch them at just the right time, LOL.

i think those numbers are skewed 3rd because his last 4 outings have been on the road...... so a little tough to gauge

or you could be right-it could be the 43 year old continuing to struggle and come back to earth after an excellent first half- and might be great fade material for the rest of the season

tomorrow i think will be a good game to tell the tale for how the rest of his season will go. finally getting a start at home against a team that severely struggles against LHSP (and any SP for that matter).... so we'll see what he brings.
should be a good opportunity for him to throw the big game that he needs to bolster his confidence back up..... OR he will shit the bed and we'll fade him for the rest of the season.

Any thought on the Cards/Cubs match up? Leaning towards Cubs RL at this time with a possible play on the over. My book has it at 10.

You guys have me for one more day ...anyway.....

HUGE ISSUE with DET is going to be how they close the game . Dont fool yourselves into thinking a 3 run lead is enough as it will disappear in a blink. Rodney was excellent in the xtra inning game on Tuesday logged 3 innings and today had to go 1.1 innings . Not sure he is available Friday especially with the arm issues . Zumaya did pitch a clean inning but again with the injury issues he may be available but just what do you expect ?? Lopez and Dolsi arent bad but Farnsworth has been terrible(48 inn and 14 Hrs allowed!!) . Fossum is tough to trust . Det looks ready to fall to pieces IMO unless the pitching turns around . Verlander was real solid for a stretch and has regressed past 3 starts. Oak like only 4-11 away vs LHP but also DET returns from a long and unsuccessful trip . Det isnt as good as one would expect vs LHP 8-5 at home with 4 1 run wins and some terrible LH at that ..also some sluggish outputs by the offense...

Just dont trust either team and might play the over of anything....Two teams who find ways to lose...Rogers good track record vs OAK consists mainly of away starts amd the postseason in 2006 IMO------Oak throwing 3 LHP this weekend

Same deal for the Mets as the offense is struggling and the pen is a disaster . Poor Johan thats gotta be at least the 5th win they stole from him .

Texas could be in for a slide as they lost Murphy for couple weeks and Bradley hasnt played in a week. Buch of timely Hrs vs NYY and little else ...

Maybe -
Reds and Over ? Not sure how Cueto has done since his 1st start vs Houston but Wolf on the road is weak. He owns the Mets and had a favaorable matchup vs them while Reds hit LH much better then RH for abit now.....

FLA - Remember on the road much better vs LHP...and Mets pen .......

Wash ? Just for there streak value . Price seems crazy but fundamentally its right as Nats are just not very good and look like a AAA team . Still a LH is to there benefit and CC has been better away from MILW maybe due to pressure he is putting on himself ??

COL needs a win bad and SD bs LHP is an ouch . While Rusch continues to be serviceable to our suprise . Peavy...?? not trustworthy eyt IMO...pass though on this

Campillo awesome on the road and RH seem to really have ARI number lately . Though ATL is probably just as bad vs LHP but lean UND the most ...

With Penny you have to expect that he was hurt much if not all of the previous 10 starts where his stats balloned. I know I faded him for abit when his elbow woes becomes public and he tried pitching through it ....Zito facing a much better lineup vs LH ....over and maybe LAD.....Manny is the best hitter in the game ...no doubt IMO

Looking at Balt as I feel texas is fading but also because Mendoa struggles vs LHBs and Guthrieis real solid

Like Reyes for Cle now but Purcey impressed me at Texas . Also CLE terrible track record latley vs LHP but did hit Kaz some ...they Tribe might be owed a win after the meltdown on WED...

Can you trust Carlos Silva ? probably not so even at th eprice maybe Shields ...

Interested in NYY but just thinking about it. Ian Kennedy is solid despite his April 2008 IMO and had some excellent games in the minors in rehab. Weaver is just so so which might make it a nice value play ...

Thats it..all leans if anything at all ..GL:cheers:

Early game - UND based on past history ....

Baltimore's last 37 games of offense -

11, 2, 9, 2, 5, 7, 5, 7, 10, 3, 10, 6, 8, 5, 7, 1, 1, 5, 7, 11, 1, 8, 8, 1, 1, 5, 6, 5, 13, 7, 3, 10, 3, 4, 5, 3 & 4 run totals.

_7 totals of 0-2 runs.
_6 totals of 3-4 runs.
24 totals of 5+ runs.

Their current 12 game streak of scoring at least 3 runs is their best this season.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Baltimore has gone 61 games without posting consecutive Under results. They are 40-17-4 to Over during this period, and are 15-0-2 to Over off their last 17 Under results.

I like Baltimore too , but sheesh that's a high price to pay for Guthrie. I liked it better when the word wasn't out. But I'm taking Balt on the -1.5 line.

Also like Buehrle quite a bit today. You guys know my stance on Boston on the road. My biggest play today.

Atlanta again. Campillo is pitching well and though I was hoping for a better price, I'll bite at this number.

Phillies - Bounce back day against a ragtag offense for the Bucs. I don't like Blanton against good offenses, but this is not one.

16 of Baltimore's last 18 wins have been by more than one run. Good day to look at the -1.5.....

Zito still gets no run support, and this is a different Dodger team now.

probably why its 160 instead of -240

Since July the 6th, the Chicago Cubs are...

- 16-1 SU in games which they score at least 3 runs (13-4 to Over)

- 0-9 SU in games which they score 2 runs or less (8-1 to Under)

Capping a side for their games has been as "easy" as simply concerning yourself with how their offense will go.

I will chime in here; I think Campillo and his 1.48 road era looks nice, but SN might be right with an under play, maybe both.

Nolasco and +money against that pen???? Holy crap...doesn't matter if the good Ollie shows up for my Mutts, their pen has a 75% chance of blowing any lead.

Also going to go with Guthrie, who I've always liked, and the RL .
Finally, TBay -1.

Maholm at +160 looked good at first, but then I checked his road stats: 2-6 4.85 era (home he's 5-1 3.14 era)

Braves Under 5 1st 5
Marlins +120-something
O's -1
Rays -1

Gl today fellas

Forgot to say; this is a great thread - one of the first places I come to the night before

I like the ovah at the Shea, just think both SPs will get shelled, plus that horrid NYM pen...

I've gotten burned on Cueto so badly this season, I don't know why I keep going back for more.
i'm on the stros tonight! good value, for a team that just played well against the cubs! they are hitting the ball well and hopefully cueto is 0-4 in 6 starts come tonight:smiley_acbe:

The Reds are a team to stay far away at this point imo. Those betting this game may want to check the status of Hairston Jr, as the Reds are an auto fade w/o their heart and soul setting the table (Reds are well above .500 with JH Jr playing everyday). JH Jr was rushed back from his hammy injury due to the Griffey trade and came up lame outta the box first game out. He was running bases b4 yesterday's game at full speed and will be out there tonight or Saturday imo. I'm a Reds mush.. Of the ten homes games i've attended, they've won two... and it's sickening, given they've got a .500+ home record and the amount of money lost wagering. I make myself watch this baseball pitch for pitch, night in night out and it's draining. Redlegs have been making quite a few mental mistakes at the plate, on the paths, and pitchers are simply not locating or throwing the right pitches in certain counts and it's evident in this recent slide. Out of spite, I've faded em the last two games and plan on dipping back to the well tonight, unable to pass up Houston as a dog... must say I was impressed how Cueto kept his composure last time out in Hou after getting stung around in the 1st and 3rd innings. Just a two cent ramble from a frustrated Reds fan.

Blue Chip: If you like your $$ don't bet on the Reds again this year! I have been fading the A's & will continue to do so until seasons end. Last night I added the Reds to my fade till end of the season list. keep in mind I am a die hard Reds fan for more than 40 yrs, but they are that bad & snet a message to the team when they let Griffey go & basically got nothing in return.

i'm on a similar idea as well =) and the a's fade has been cashing! i mean the a's find ways to lose! Ie. last night walking in the game winning run:36_11_6:

You leaving the site?

I am not really going anywhere persay. Just decided a couple weeks back to really avoid posting everyday as its just very time consuming ( I ramble , I commment on just about everything and once start its tough for me to just stop discussing shit as oodd as that may sound) and need to get some other priorities straight . Somehow in the middle of summer this past weekend I got sick and been stuck in the house , feeling like crap for the most part so figured why not chime in. Feel better now and have a bunch of shit I need to that I couldnt because I felt like crap so definetly gonna be scarce after today for at least a few days ...

If anyone is ever that interested in my opinion they can always PM me and if I am around will certainly reply ..

Still sifting through todays shit :
@ Wrigley played Cards +1.5 , little lesser Cards ML and little less then that on Cards 1st 5 inn ML. Really like the UNDER and had made 1/2 unit plays on UNDER 8.5 and UND 4.5 1st 5 inn but when the total started to run just ate the vig on the game total and washed it out . Kept the 1st 5 inn 1/2 unit play though.....

Later so far :
CLE ML : Agree with TeeDubs assessment and commented there . Somewhat concerned Purcey has been quality and is LH to which Cle has now dropped 9 of 11 away vs LHSP. Just feel a nice bounce back spot and Tor bats arent very impressive of late. Cle pen .....yikes !! Looking at UNDER but may settle if anything on the 1st 5 inn UND....

Also like the AWAY teams ML which seems someone else did or everyone else does cause it dropped 20 cents close to 2 PM which I dont see huge moves in those props often...

Call me crazy but like Nats 1st 5 INN and even ML (probably RL @ a plus payout as well) ....Nats are finding ways to win and since they started shedding dead weight the clubhouse is supposedly upbeat and confident . Longterm it may not mean shit but I only care about NOW . CC has been okay in his home starts vs COL , CINCY and CUBS. The Rocks gave him a game , Cincy gave him a scare and Cubs did beat him. Away think he has 3 starts could be forgetting one but all teams who struggle vs LHP in SFG , STL ( proved it yesterday again but still had to ride them today) and ATL ....not sure how Nats are doing it but they are greatly improved with the new 2b-SS combo IMO and of course Zimmermans return as well as Milledge's. Pen is shaky for sure but MILW can be as well . Balester has been solid most starts till the 5th actually usually very good till the pivotal 5th which has given him trouble but he is RH so thats a plus vs MILW.

Also looking at OVER 8 @ SF but cautious there for now , Balt ML which looks high and could be but also think Murphy's absence with Bradley's could sputter the offense . Texas was +130 or higher home dogs in every game at HOME to NYY..so thinking BALT....

Under @ ARI and now ARI ML looking real attractive as hve more interest in ATL vs Haren tmrw. I played ATL yesterday and really dont see how if you played ZONA yesterday you dont today as well . Morton pitched as well as one could expect and doubt Campillo can duplicate that to which it was just 2-0 to start the 8th inning. Davis being LH facing a team who struggles mightily vs LHP IMO and loaded with LH bats.

Also : Reds ML , Marlins U8.5 maybe FLA as well , also maybe SD and even TB at that ghastly price but just thinking outloud mostly .......

HUGE DIP in LAA vs NYY line interests me . Still would have liked NYY at the higher price but still like how NYY played vs LAA in the home series..

GL all !

SN, do you have any thoughts on tomorrow's matchup with Giese and Lackey? I'm actually going to be at the game and wanted to bet it despite the lack of value I would probably get betting against Giese.. Let me know, thanks!
