Narduzzi Gives Me Second-Hand Embarrassment
Lmao. This aged well. All this and you hire Dan Quinn.Wash isn't messing around. Hired him and Rick Spielman and already asked permission to speak to Johnson, Glenn, and Morris.

Bing! The only choice should be Dan Quinn.
Oh man, I have no idea who the Cowboys will find that can keep their next playoff opponent under 50.....
The Patriots hiring Alex Van Pelt as OC is another joke of a hire. Mayo might have been the worst hire in a really underwhelming offseason.
He's never been a good coach but it does help the Jets avoid last place if that matters to fans besides me.What’s wrong with Van Pelt?
He coached a hyper-aggressive scheme which was great for causing turnovers and could overwhelm bad teams but would get schooled by competent QBs and offenses. His players never seemed to understand how to play a zone defense. And don't get me started on the penalty numbers.Playoff game aside, I read something like Dan Quinn’s 5 seasons as a DC his defenses all finished in the top 5.
When he was HC in Atlanta for 6 years none of his defenses did.
I know he made a SB as a HC with Atlanta, but are we looking at yet another example of someone being an AMAZING coordinator that doesn’t necessarily translate to be a great HC?

I guess it was him or Matt Canada.Raiders are hiring Luke Getsy as the OC. Great move hiring a guy just fired by the offensive juggernaut Bears as the OC.
Kingsbury to Washington.
He was never going to get credit for the KC offense so unless he proves himself elsewhere he is not getting a head coaching job.And Bieniemy is out of a job.
I realize he wants/wanted a HC job, but him leaving a perfectly great job in KC (where he went to and won multiple SBs) to take a LATERAL move to Washington was an absolute fucking mistake. There isn't another possible way to put it imo. I have no idea what he was thinking, or whose advice he was listening to, but what an utter shame.
If you weren't leaving KC for a HC job, what is the world was the point of leaving? Especially to a dumpster fire of a franchise like Washington. Has to go down as one of the worst decisions anyone in a position as high as he was has ever made.

He supposedly doesn't interview well for whatever thats worth. He will wind up back in KC standing next to Reid and maybe he will be in position to take over when Andy retires.Whatever this "getting credit" means doesn't seems to matter much when you're out of a fucking job. Too many people in their feelings and worried about things like "getting credit" and "race." Because if the excuse wasn't about him not getting credit, it was that he was black and wasn't getting a HC job because of that.
Also, again...maybe he's just one of those guys that excels as a coordinator and not as a HC. There are TONS of them in the league. Without him getting a HC job it's not possible to say that's absolutely true, but maybe the guys doing the hiring see something that leads them to believe that to be the case.

We got one in NO. I’d argue Dennis Allen is the best DC in the leagueWhatever this "getting credit" means doesn't seems to matter much when you're out of a fucking job. I assume he took the job because he was going to have play calling responsibilities, something he didn't have in KC & the primary thing that was likely keeping him from becoming a head coach. Of course, it sure doesn't look like that head coaching gig is coming anytime soon, so you could say he made a pretty costly miscalculation. When a team has a QB as talented as Mahomes, can you ever really be sure the offensive coordinator had much to do with the success, or is it likely that almost anyone (even Matt Canada) would look like a genius? And Bieniemy is out of a job.

It took a year but....Artie loves him some Jonnu.
Rumor was that man-mountain Washington was who the Fins coveted. But now that Parham is out for the year Washington is their main blocking TE. Jonnu wants a new contract so this could get sticky.Wonder if Friermuth would be in the deal

Steelers have been dumpster diving on offense ever since Big Ben retired. They got Russ for vet minimum because he had guaranteed money coming from Denver, and now they're looking at Gabe Davis for the same reason. Picked up Bobby Trees for nothing. Still rummaging through that Rodgers dumpster. Still no playoff wins since 2016.
The jury is out on Howard but honestly he lasted until the sixth round for a reason. The tape on him was not great in the regular season, then the Buckeyes put it all together in the playoffs. But sixth round....Brady is the exception that proves the rule. A quick check of the history books shows these are the next best 6th round QBs behind Brady in the 2000s: Marc Bulger (same class as Brady), Tyrod Taylor, Gardner Minshew, Derek Anderson, Bruce Gradkowski, Drew Henson, Kliff Kingsbury.Thank you for the info ...Am I wrong for thinking Will Howard might be a diamond in the rough ??
Do you think Calvin Austin takes a big step forward this season?
The BILLS desperately need a monster blocking TE like Washington..They used OT Alex Anderson in motion as an extra blocking TE last season ...Hopefully draft pick Jackson Hawes is our Washington ..

Bulgers took over the Greatest Show full time in 2023...Rams went 12-3 but he threw 22 picks. His best year was 2006 but by then the Rams only went 8-8. He has more 10+ loss seasons than 10+ win seasons. He had one playoff win.
Tyrod....you should be well familiar with his abilities. He always seemed to play a little better than his teams record. He did have a playoff win and fetched a 3rd rounder from the Browns.
That's been the ceiling for 6th rounders, other than the GOAT.
Calvin Austin is too short to take big steps lol. He's a slot guy who's had QBs that don't like to throw over the middle. Maybe Rodgers can unlock something, I dunno. When Rudolph won the last 3 games in 2023 and took Pitt to the playoffs vs. the Bills, Austin had 1 catch in the four games and 2 rushing attempts. So, he goes into this year with no chemistry with any QB on the roster. Maybe he turns into vintage Randall Cobb but I can't bet it that way at this point.
