2025 Golf Handicapping Thread....

I'm doubling down on my theory that the course is going to play easier today...I think 16 and 17 are going to be offering a bunch of birdie looks and Underdog is shading to the Over on the 16-17-18 wager.

I'll be playing Unders on pretty much every player they offer in slips of 2/3 and hope to churn a profit at the end of the round.

Who had Greyserman gaining six shots on the field in putting today? He looked like the preacher in the rain in Caddyshack making it from everywhere. Homa looks like he’s still hitting it well. Oh well, I hope your guys day went better than mine.

Yeah MGM has SS and Rory at -110 to make 6 or better. Crazy vs 4 for a little more juice last couple.

69.5 for SS doesn’t seem unlikely. But I know nothing about pin locations.

That hour to 90 mins start time is everything. There is no scoring to be had with those fast greens combined with the distance. Everyone shooting way over who teed off after 10 local or so.
 
Scottie again fading as the day goes on. Back to back weeks doing that into the weekend. Fatigue is real.
 
Maybe an early round, out of contention will wake up Lowry to go have fun and post a decent score. Aberg the now favorite and if he wants any part of winning, a sub par round is automatic

FD sucks balls BTW, limit on a birds or better play I wanted to select was some $285 or something.. didn’t have any issues with me playing 5 or 8u earlier in the week

Curious if you go to local brick and mortar places to avoid the hassle

I think all/most Colorado online outfits are tied to brick and mortars that are in Cental City/Blackhawk. That’s about a 1-1.5hr drive into the mountains, were most of the casinos are. Not big on table games / casinos so we only get up there 2-3 times a year.

With a family and family things on the daily and weekends, online works best for me. Just hate FD and their shenanigans. All other books don’t care what and how much I play.

When I went in July, we ended up on some backroad and I'd never heard of Blackhawk. On a Friday. Was a country road type drive on gravel....then out of nowhere Blackhawk! I will never be able to describe that well, it was so bizarre. Ate lunch there then back to Denver. The backup going in to Blackhawk was at least 10 miles and that's not an exaggeration. I had no clue.

My closest is DK at TPC Scottsdale, maybe 10-15 minutes. All of the players have places around the city except bet 365....and none are really that close to me. FD/Caesars downtown, MGM at the football stadium, etc. Nothing much close to me other than the joint at TPC

Not sure why but my local hasn’t been putting individual rounds up overnight this week. Decided to just sit on my hands and watch the full tourney match up I have still going. Best of luck with you wagers today…

FD also keeps your money for like 24 hours. Other books it’s as quick as an internal bank transfer. Annoying.

Fanatics is always instant

DK/Caesars/ESPN are pretty quick usually

It's the others that suck and I've only done FD once, they took 14 hours. I move money based on lines and when they do that shit, I can't do my shit.

Yes fanatics is insanely quick. Even on huge amounts. Sometimes you can’t get to your bank login quick enough and the money is there. Dk was right behind them.

Haven’t tried espn yet. NY offering right now is sort of beta and no good offerings.

They are Penn so we'll never have a local go to here but I'm in on their chat. Have done a couple Zoom type things with a marketing gal about plus and minus stuff. Fanatics seem like great people who simply don't understand the Web yet. I hate betting on my phone but that's who they are. Sometimes incredible lines, best rewards program in the biz
