5 horse race tomorrow?

I mean the guys at 9 under are certainly in the tournament but the fact Scottie is above them, and chasing, gives me pause on them.

Tommy winning right after Cam Young would be a helluva storyline -- plus 6 weeks after his heartbreak.
 
No Sepp this week. Assume it's personal reasons to miss at this point since there was no mention of injury.

I do like both guys you're using in the fade this week -- just also feel he's a guy on the Ryder Fence that might make a statement? Plus, he's playing with the Captain.

We've been waiting all year.

Injury I get but like to see him start and finish a tournament strong.

I mean, he's going to finish in top 15 or so. But, is he a true contender??
 
Scottie tournament so I don't go to wild on futures.

I want to see how tomorrow goes on this course but perfect weather and we should see some scoring. Interested in the greens.

I played a few "value* futures earlier in the week.

Small amounts, but worth a 6 pack.

Dropped these two while downtown yesterday. I hit a bit at the roulette table and then had a half unit ticket to cash in so I played these two...

I do feel like Scottie wins. He rarely doesn't get it done like last week when in position. Feel like he should have his way here.

Rory will be right there too. Perfect course.

Honestly I can make a case for so many guys...

Cam Young suits this place soooo well too.

Well, interesting 1st round.

That did nothing to help me with possible 2nd round totals.

Insane finish by Bobby Mac. I honestly was in shock when KJ mentioned that in a group thread.

Goodness.

Weird start for many guys.

At least this course isn't a pitch n putt like 4 years ago.
 
Never watched much of Bobby Mac in the past but this has been quite a ride this week
 
Called the Scottie win, not that is any surprise...but losing on Sunday last week definitely kicked the motivation up.

I had visions of a Burns birdie run late to grab that +3500 but the late bogies sealed his fate.
 
Tour championship week, always a fun time.

Hoping for several guys to be in the mix on Sunday.

Took small future on... Rosey+5500 and Harman+6500

Waiting on any totals till we see how scoring is early.

Recent changes to the course could keep this score higher this week.

Feels like a trap line but I’m biting. Cam is coming into this with tons of momentum… Griffin has been solid lately… Morikawa seems to be off. I get he was 2nd last year, but with so many changes lately, my gut tells me he just wants this to be over with. Fade or follow, best of luck with your plays this week.

2-0 at East Lake… morikawa fade worked out well with Cam and Griffin. Hope you all enjoyed the event. Looking forward to football season!

Fwiw I hear Kapalua looks to be in terrible shape. I’m not sure what the process may be, but the Sentry should be moved elsewhere based on the info I’m getting. If you have a golf vacation and are planning to stay/play Kapalua, you may want to do further digging into the situation there.

Some sort of water restrictions issue. It may be more political than that, but that’s my understanding. My buddy is renting a place off the 4th or 5th fairway and sent a few pictures. Very sad to see… I’m curious if the person you know had a good experience at Kapalua?

I'll check again.

Played with him on league last week. Didn't see him tonight.
 
Just a heads up, the Sentry will not be played on the Plantation at Kapalua this year. A new venue has not been chosen yet. Something to keep in mind when handicapping this event.

I saw that a few weeks ago.

They have a drought and the course is wrecked.

Buddy of mine played in the spring so I'm assuming this patch of dry weather is since then.

Be interesting to see what they do course wise.

Also how does the Sony fit in!?

Think the draught is a deal but I've read it's the water agreement between Maui and the course itself that is causing the real water issues by them limiting water. Have to imagine that isn't a thing in Honolulu. I do assume that means the Sentry will still be out West for convenience for those who plan on playing in the Sony. Maybe even back to back weeks on the same course?
 
sounds like the Sony is a go on the big island… claiming drought but like KJ said, it has to do with a water agreement from what I’ve heard. Sanderson this week… might eye some single round bets… time to start following golf again
