When they punted on their first drive at the 40 I got a pretty good answer to how aggressive they would be.. Maybe they are just saving it up

Why did CMU go 4 and out in own territory down 45...then start calling timeouts? And why did Tulsa be nice on 4th down?

Combo of two things, potentially:

CMU coach wanted his defense to show heart and bow up. More likely, Rush was 45 yards from all time Mac passing yardage record so he wanted to get him ball back. Tulsa punter is senior and never got to punt in game lol so coach put him in to take the knee on 4th down from the 5. Tulsa pulled QB and most skill guys out at 8 min mark and they just bled clock with back ups. Unfortunately their coach showed class and CMU was so inept thru couldn't help, IMO

They lost to them on that phantom free play that should have never happened (intentional grounding called on 4th down that was the wrong call...by rule)...the phantom free play that turned into the Hail Mary/lateral to win the game.

This game is about to put me back to sleep too. Happy for these teams for getting here but this first week of bowl games have been as bad a group as I can ever remember
