2015 Free Agent Signing Tracker

Ouch. Three year $21+ million for an aging CB in Tramon Williams. Have fun with that Cleveland. Green Bay was in the two year, 3-4 million range to resign him.

Charles Clay signs a massive offer sheet from the Bills, and there's no way Miami matches that with 20mil guaranteed. It's a ton of money, but Clay is only 26 and gives Buffalo yet another match-up threat on Offense. Buffalo's skill position players have now become top-5 in the league IMO.

Love what they did all offseason---taking huge risks but finally looking to be a serious competitor in the AFC.

Can someone please give the Eagles a conditional 7th rd pick for Matt Barkely, so we can see Timmy Tebow back in the league!

The Eagles love being in the front of media circus, and this is just a marketing ploy by Owner, Laurie and Coach, Chip.

Please man.. a marketing ploy?
Uggghhh
Ur lost kid

Why don't have him as qb in shortage zone read?
He never gets tackled for a loss
Put in some PA plays with it.
No brainer

the problem with Tebow is that he'll bring the circus to town with him. Not his fault, but it is what it is.

And tebow failed with the jets the same team sanny did.
Rex Ryan had no idea on offense or his shit oc

Tebow couldn't complete a forward pass before he got to NY, but that NY experiment was a disaster. QB's under Rex are a lost cause.

I'm interested to see how Tebow does. He is an amazing athlete and he's been working like a mad man on his passing (with Brady's guy). I hope he does well.

Maybe the circus won't be as big this time around.

Why does everyone hate Tebow so much, or care about him so much for that matter? He's a seriously good person who continues to work hard despite constantly getting a hard time for being who he is. I wish Jau Cutler worked as hard as he does and cared as much

Word.

Two reasons:

1. They heard some idiot on ESPN like Mark Schlereth diss him and they just like to parrot what they hear on TV.
2. Jealousy

2. Jealousy

Oh, please.

First, wouldn't more people, if they were parroting what they saw on ESPN, be all over Timmy's nuts since it was seemingly a non-stop love fest for 5+ years about him? Second, whatever Schlereth said (I have no idea, haven't watched that 4 letter station in almost a decade outside of live sports) was more than likely football related, and he's not an idiot in that regard. He knows football, and whatever he said negatively about Tebow was because he's an awful QB (or anyone else who has spoken negatively about him).

Thirdly, he's a fucking horrible QB...like historically bad as far as passing #s go....he may have the lowest completion percentage of all time in the NFL, and that's saying something. Finally, it seems that you're trying to separate Tebow the person from Tebow the QB.....why? Unless there's a bunch of dudes out there just bashing Tebow for being a Christian, or praying, or whatever else, this shouldn't even come up....his is criticized because he's an awful QB.4

He puts more work in than probably every other QB that's ever played the game....and there's a reason for that....because he's really awful at playing QB and needs to work harder than everyone else to even look, somewhat, like an NFL QB....which he has failed at miserably, despite all of his "hard work."

If he makes the team, the eagles make the playoffs. If he doesn't they won't.

Please win the job ... please. I would go nuts if the eagles won the superbowl with Tebow at the helm. It would be the second greatest sports story of my lifetime as a fan (USA amateur hockey beating the fighting Becky Hammon's).

All I do is win, win win....

If I had to guess though ... I have a strange feeling he is being brought in to be that hard working guy that gets other guys to work hard.

Yeah, that and to take the focus off of Bradford, since Tebow's going to bring his side show with him.

Tebow is polarizing

Never seen so many people on so many sides...

He shouldn't be polarizing though. The only reason he's polarizing is because he's a Christian, works hard, and many people seem to admire that. Other than that, he's a horrible NFL QB and there is nothing polarizing about that.

In fact, contrary to whatever Eggman was talking about, Tebow has continued to get opportunities because of him being a nice guy, hard worker, etc. There are many, many other guys out there who can easily play QB better than Tebow...they haven't received multiple opportunities (even after failing and being cut twice)....Tebow has, and does, because it's a feel good story which can generate a buzz and possibly sell tickets.

The circus is already there with Chip. He's the most controversial guy in the league and will be a continuing story anyways in a polarizing city.

Ya I think Tebow is a horrible qb

But smoke pointed it out best if this is to take advantage of the proposed new 2 point rule it's very smart

read option with him spray tan and matthews and you should get that yard easily 60+%

Lol gotta love how people are fired up over the tebow signing!
Its no different than if Philly signed JP losman or some other qb who was out of the league to see if they have something to bring to the table.
U can call tebow a shitty passing qb but he runs like a fulback and hardly ever goes down for a loss. There def can be a package to fit what he does well.

disagree about this.....many athletes are Christians......it is more his story.

Right, that's why him being a Christian was simply one of the reasons I listed (in my other post(s)). He's also a much more vocal Christian than most other dudes in the NFL.

He's polarizing for a few reasons, being a vocal Christian is one of those reasons...but for most, if not all, of the people who bash him, they bash him because of how horrible of a QB he is, not because he's a vocal Christian.

I'm not sure too many people are "fired up" about it, but they are talking about it, that's for sure.

And you're 100% right, it would be like someone signing JP Losman....and people would be saying the same things about him not being an NFL QB. The only difference here is that there are actually a bunch of people on Timmy's "side," so to speak, because of the type of person he is...that wouldn't exist if some other scrub QB on the shelf was signed by an NFL team, it would be 100% negative comments.

And sure, there can possibly be a package for him...but part of the reason he, or any other QB runs effectively is because there's that whole idea that the QB is a threat to actually throw the ball. If they come up with packages for Tebow, the defense will automatically know they don't have to play the pass more than 5 yards down the field, which will clearly minimize how effective he will be running the ball.

If they signed him simply to be their "2 pt specialist" (that's conditional on a rule change to begin with), then good for them....locking up a roster spot for a guy who's going to come in for 2pt conversions only doesn't seem like a great idea....but maybe it will be, who knows.

More than likely, Tebow will be nowhere near the Eagles (or any other team) roster come the regular season. He has already shown in the past he is completely unwilling to change positions...and unless he's made insane strides in actually throwing a football, he'll be back on the SEC Network come September.

Tebow's stats thru 15-16 starts compare very well to those of Steve Young and Steve McNair.

If McNair were held to the same standards we would have never developed into an MVP.

Well the NFL is clearly a much different game now than it was when McNair first started, and even more so than when Young first started....so QBs have to be held to a higher standard, the position is much different now and demands a certain level of performance to be successful as a starting QB (or even be average).

His stats also compare very well to dozens and dozens guys who we wouldn't even remember right away because they were out of the league (JP Losman, Trent Edwards, Rob Johnson...that's just here in Buffalo)...just like Tebow has been for essentially 2 years now. Many guys who may not be good enough to be a starter even latch on as a backup somewhere, and a bunch of them have long careers doing so. For someone who is as great of a person, leader, worker, teammate, etc there is obviously a reason that Tebow doesn't even have a backup job at this point...and it's not because he's a Christian (as Twinkie pointed out, there are tons of Christians in the NFL).
