11/9/08 Sunday NBA

JPicks

Pretty much a regular
28-17 +9.70 Units
4-5 ML's +0.45 Units

First two have moved a ton since I played them, but I posted them in yesterday's thread. No w/up's today. Might have had a couple to many cocktails last night and I'm in no mood to type anything.

Card is a work in progress. Haven't looked at the late 3 games yet. GL fellas.

Toronto -2.5
Jazz/Knicks O 206
Knicks ML +150
Thunder ML +155
Pistons/C's Under 187

GL JP, hate to see you on OKC. I know ATL on the road as a 5 point fav is kinda absurd but I had to bite.

gotta say that there is one strong reason that I am only the Sonics :) and it's the 2nd half of the Jazz game. They flat out dominated the Jazz (after being down 29 at half) and while it shouldn't matter much to anybody it's something that a young team should take and build off of. No reason the Hawks think much about this game as they have CHI and BOS up next. And lastly Sonics, ya I said it again, have won 3 of 4 in this series.

Thats "SuperSonics" buddy ;)

Cannot wait till they play the Bullets!

Knicks/Bullets Over 210' -- Nice little over run starting to help even the season tally up and the Knicks should finally get their first over here. Both teams are brutally bad at defense and the Knicks are the 2nd fastest team in the pace rankings so it's not like they aren't trying to score.

:tiphat:

that just doesn't look right "Thunder ML" -- like you're wagering on a world league game or something haha

gl with the card picks...was lookin at the grizz, any thoughts on that game?

Really interested in seeing the Knicks game . I have to research them on Sundays at the Garden in the past . They just always seem to play like shit from memory and last week vs Milw was another stinker .

Basically agree. I played Charlotte 1st H hoping they win so I can take Tor 2nd H . GL

I'll look at that one in a few minutes BJ.

04 was the last time the Jazz won in the Garden and I see little reason why they get it done today.

This is from a site Tuck introduced me to when I asked how he got all those crazy trends . (sportsbettingstats.com)

They actually havent played all that badly now that I look at it . Does seem to indicate an under ternd but we know different season and coaching staff. At the end of 2005 didnt seem to matter .

Agree with your take on the game just had that stuck in my mind . Will be on NYK 1st H and game . Same reason as OKC play except Utah has negative momentum against a team who plays very well against them.

I'll look at that one in a few minutes BJ.

04 was the last time the Jazz won in the Garden and I see little reason why they get it done today.

No I agree I was commenting on the atmosphere more ( flat enviroment maybe hurting an over since NY basically plays on high energy and MSG not the best place to shot).. Just so much going on in NY on a Sunday that every NYK game I recall watching was like watching a HS basketball game in the burbs .

So basically never mind !:36_11_6:

Definitely like the Knicks to win SU a bit more than the over because of the dead environment that you mention, but hopefully they'll both come in. The Jazz have notoriously played bad 3pt defense under Sloan so if the Knicks are feeling it both should come in.

Great site by the way.

that just doesn't look right "Thunder ML" -- like you're wagering on a world league game or something haha

gl with the card picks...was lookin at the grizz, any thoughts on that game?

SO true . They should be in the CBA well if it was still around . Oklahoma City Thunder sounds so JV .

Basically every NY total is dependent on 3 pt shooting . Probably the 1st thing I mentioned to Brewer in his initial thread. I watched them enough to know they settle for so many 3s and while they have alot of guys who can shoot it wouldnt exactly classify as great shooters or consistent ones . All of the gunners are hot / cold type guys . Which is why the whole Sunday thing was in my head. Was merely a heads up . I might play the 1st H Over then depending go for the 2nd H under . Will be on NYK though for sure:cheers:

Couldnt ask for a better Charlotte game . The Bobcats lead at the half and I hit my 1st H play and get the Raptors essentialy at a PK for the game . Only wish I had bigger balls when I do things like that .

On the knicks / nyk 1st H and small reverse with 1st H NYK +2.5 and over 100.5 .

When you can get a second look at SD and SD 1st H . Think the Chargers open up a can on the Cheifs who are off two incredibly tough losses...about as strong as its gets for me .....even have SD and over teased but probably going to parlay or reverse that with the 1st H as well:cheers:

I"ll definitely follow suit with the Chargers. Thanks for the tip. Charlotte game was a thing of beauty.

Playing the Clipps as I'm a junkie and they are my crack. +170

Tough one with the Grizz game. I don't have much confidence that MEM can win this game SU so it's tough for me to lay down on them hoping to lose by 8 or less. At 9' it becomes a bit more intriguing. I don't think Den is very good and probably shouldn't be laying this many points, but they are likely to lose 2 of 3 if not all three of their next road trip so this game is a must win and Memphis is coming off a unexpected win. Not much interest on either side honestly. Gun to head Grizzlies.

I'd like to be happy with the push, but I spent 20 seconds posting the openers on CTG rather than hitting it at 205 when I saw it open. :whip:

Going to try the Warriors quarter system again. Went 1-1 the first time out which won't work paying 15c of vig every time.

Warriors/Kings

1st Qtr O54
4th QTR U53

Thanks t-dot.

Lakers 2nd half -4

Ming and Hayes with 3 fouls and they were getting pounded on the boards in that 2nd quarter. Lakers bigs are just to athletic for the Rockets. Artest with 3 fouls as well trying to guard Kobe. McGrady tweaked his ankle at the end of the half. Lakers win this by DD's going away.

Great day bro. SD really fucked up a nice day for me well and so did the Eagles / Under . Might have been my best day ever in the NBA but got crushed on the above NFL games . I just had those 2 all wrong and probably cost me nearly 28 units . Think I was +20-25 in the NBA today . Sorry about the Chargers but really liked it . To bad OKC choked but at least I had +4.5 and +5 for most of it .....good pull on the NYK total as well just about all the games finished within a bucket . ...

Keep it going.

Appreciate it. No worries about the Chargers. Always respect your opinion so if you liked it I'm sure it was for good reasons. Didn't actually see a single minute of NFL today which might have been the first time well ever.
