A homer pick, as Carson P , Keyshawn, and others were probably better college players .....
1979 Cotton Bowl vs Houston freezing temps.- down 34-12 at the half, suffering from from the flu, and hypothermia - body temp 96 - was hooked up to IVs until late in the 3Q for ffs. Came out of the locker room to lead the Irish to a 35-34 win. I was there - BAC roughly 0.25 or so .....

They are 8-2 as home favorites over the past four seasons. And this is the catapult to a season schedule that is rated No. 132 by Phil Steele in his comprehensive annual, the lone easier slate being Liberty’s.

I'll remember him vs UM in '99 and also vs Florida in the Citrus Bowl.
Those come to mind.
I still say if he doesn't get hurt in that first month of his Lions career that he likely stays on a better path, at least for awhile. That injury only propelled him down a bad road quicker.
