Zero days till the start of CFB!

I'm a day late, but '92 Alabama is the first season I remember following on a weekly basis. First year of the SEC Championship Game.

Sugar Bowl against Miami that nobody gave us much of a chance. We all know what happened including the greatest play canceled by a penalty:

So much mouth by Lamar Thomas, shut up in the best way possible.

Funny memory I have from that game: I was spending the night at a friend's house, who was/is a huge Auburn fan. We were 11 years old, and at dinner he mentioned in front of his dad (also huge AU fan) that he was pulling for Miami. His dad got really angry at him and demanded that he cheer for the in-state school or else he was grounded. I respected my friend for his decision, since there was no way I'd ever pull for AU in a similar situation. But, watching that game unfold with my buddy cheering against Alabama, and the pure agony it gave him will always be one of my fondest football memories

Added Mich O10.5 -115 to my OSU U10.5. 1u. Schedule is a joke you assume the only threats in B10 are PSU and OSU. OOC comical again. They have OSU at home. Barring major major injuries I see another undefeated season. I can lose 1. JJ, Corum, Best OL, red hot DC, etc.

Two-time Lombardi award winner...

One of the very best at both the collegient and professional levels...

Kill em with kindness...

TBH, after you torch a team 45-23 (really 52-23 if not for the phantom whistle late) you have no issue with some praise.

Plus, the 90s were my favorite decade of CFB.
Thanks for the insight i guess into why I never wanna praise Hokies football :(

I will never say anything remotely kind about Auburn or Tennessee no matter what the score from the previous year is. You are a bigger man than me

with NBA and NHL ending noticed a few moves on BOL.

TCU from -21.5 to -21
CF from -33 to -35
Stan from -10.5 to -8.5
VT from -14.5 to -13.5

Sure there's more just ones I noticed.

1966 "Game of the Century"

In November 1966, 8-0 Notre Dame traveled to Spartan Stadium for a matchup with 9-0 Michigan State. Dubbed the “Game of the Century,” the contest ended in a 10-10 tie, and much debate was made about head coach Ara Parseghian’s end of game strategy. In this video, Terry Hanratty (’69), George Goeddeke (’67), Rocky Bleier (’68) and Bob Gladieux (’69) reflect upon the legendary game and Parseghian shares his thoughts on the controversial finish.

Jim Parker - Ohio State
1956 Outland Trophy winner - 6-2/260, huge at that time. Better on defense probably - one of the top OL of all time.

BM finally dropped Week 0/1 lines. spreads, no totals yet. Pretty much in line with BOL. Circa and BOL have a few 1, 1.5 differences. Haven't paid a ton of attention but seem totals mainly being bet down, assume due to new rule.

I cannot vouch for Brett McMurphy's sources, just thought it was an interesting thing to share in these dead days. It's based on one of the writer's at the Action Network. Maybe it's more prediction than what is available right now

Collin Wilson's PR are worthy of consideration for sure, as he definitely knows what he's doing ..... but too many are far off from what Vegas has to use as a primary resource. Bill C's SP+ is pretty close, except for teams undergoing a ton of change (2023 numbers reflect 2022 early in season)

CW eg. Navy -2 vs Iowa
Texas -4 vs LSU
Wash #5 / Ducks #7 ....etc

ESPN's PRI numbers aren't bad lately - better than most anything else available early - like Sagarin / Massey / Steele's +/- .

PR published in newsletters are much better (cept SP+) = Gold Sheet - VSIN - Kenny White - Brad Powers

50 days - 21 hours - 42 minutes

Probably the greatest, and likely the most dominant MLB in CFB history.
