The more I look at the results, the more it seems to me that France has been as bad as the Argies have, but have done so in the easier of the two groups.

Also, this WC has produced only one 0-0 result: it involved France.

Their defense been best in tourney

Xga was 0.1, 0.3, and 0.1 in group stage games

Think that had to do with their group opponents. Their best one, Denmark, they played last and both teams went into that game knowing a draw was gold re future R16 qualification, so the Danes settled for what transpired. Peru froze in their first WC appearance in forever, and Australia? Say no more.

Of course it did vs if they played spain and brazil

Its still a crazy amount to only allow in 270 mins

Couldn't disagree with this more. Peru looked pretty good tbh and I think they should consider themselves unlucky to not move on ahead of Denmark (they outplayed them for sure)...I don't think they 'froze' at all. Australia? No better or worse then Iceland

I get it that he's Messi lite and might not play well together, but world class players figure that out
