Estabrook isn't choice I wanted here but after a low scoring affair yesterday I'm comfortable looking passed that

Chatwood has a much better day era that night but I think the Rangers get to him to get their fair share

Greinke allowed five runs on nine hits and two walks over five innings in a rehab start with Triple-A Reno on Thursday, but the pitcher says he's "100 percent" and that's really all that matters. The All-Star pitcher has been on the shelf for the last five and a half weeks due to a strained oblique.

Someone tell me why the Mets are so cheap? I know they are not playing great, but Ray on the road? I made them much higher...
 
Ray is very good on 6 plus. Colon has never beat Arizona. Ump seems to like both pitchers also Colon has a real problem winning on Wednesdays. Under looks good at a guess
This season Ray on 6+ 1.38 ERA 13 innings

Jake Thompson received a rude welcome to the big leagues on Saturday, giving up six runs in 4 1/3 innings in a loss to the Padres.
He managed just one strikeout while giving up seven hits and two walks in his major league debut. He had a 2.50 ERA in 21 starts at Triple-A this year, but struck out a paltry 87 batters in 129 2/3 innings. He is only 22 years old and might make a good speculative addition in dynasty leagues. Paul Clemens gave up three runs -- two earned -- in 4 1/3 innings and took a no-decision as the Padres beat the Phillies 9-7 on Saturday.
He would have been credited with a win if he had recorded two more outs. He gave up four hits without walking anybody. He fanned two batters in the short outing. He has a 4.61 ERA with 21 strikeouts and 14 walks in 27 1/3 innings. The 28-year-old has bounced around between the bullpen and the rotation this year. Aug 7 - 1:19 AM
 
Ross Stripling will start for the Dodgers on Friday against the Pirates.
Rich Hill was supposed to take that turn, but he's still having problems with a blister on his left hand. Stripling struck out four batters over five scoreless innings Saturday against the Red Sox and makes for a decent fantasy streaming option versus Pittsburgh. Aug 10 - 1:18 PM

Cubs defensive is down right nasty which will bring them far down the stretch.. great coach bunch of youngsters that out in yard work sprinkled in with Arieta , Chapman, and Lester...
 
Cardinals purchased the contract of RHP Luke Weaver from Triple-A Memphis.
Weaver will make his major league debut on Saturday against the Cubs at Wrigley Field, taking Michael Wacha's (shoulder) spot in the rotation. NEW YORK (AP) Luis Severino's return to the minor leagues was brief.
Two days after optioning the right-hander to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, the New York Yankees recalled the 22-year-old from the Triple-A farm team Friday and said he would start Sunday's series finale against Tampa Bay.
New York placed right-hander Nathan Eovaldi on the 15-day disabled list with a right elbow tendon injury, a move retroactive to Thursday.

Eovaldi left his start at Boston on Wednesday after one inning, in which his fastball averaged 93.91 mph, down from 97.16 mph in his previous outing, according to Brooks Baseball. He had an MRI Thursday and was evaluated by team physician Christopher Ahmad. New York said only that Eovaldi will seek a second opinion.
Severino was 5-3 with a 2.89 ERA as a rookie in the final two months of last season, then started this season 0-6, went on the disabled list and spent two months in the minors. He did not allow an earned run in three relief outings when he returned but gave up five runs in 4 1/3 innings Tuesday against Boston, taking the loss.
New York had wanted him to work on his changeup in the minors.
''We'll do it in his bullpen, and hopefully it translates into the game on Sunday,'' manager Joe Girardi said. ''It's not the ideal situation, but a lot of times when players get called back or called up, it's not the ideal situation and you've got to deal with it.''
 
Clayton Richard will start for the Padres on Sunday against the Mets.
San Diego is going to roll with a six-man rotation as a way to limit the innings of Luis Perdomo and Christian Friedrich. Richard was signed to a major league contract last week after getting pushed off the Cubs' 40-man roster. He owns a 6.46 ERA this season and hasn't started a game at the major league level since last August, so it might be wise to ignore the 32-year-old left-hander in fantasy leagues. Aug 11 - 11:14 AM

Brett Anderson (back) is expected to make his season debut on Sunday.
Anderson made it through his bullpen session on Thursday without any issues and has deemed himself ready for a return to the Dodgers rotation. Given the depth of the injuries they've incurred this season, Anderson has the potential to be a major contributor over the final month and a half of the regular season. Aug 12 - 6:30 PM
