Wrote this in my week one thread, maybe a week or so ago. Anyhow, will work on lines tomorrow, but week one really messed some things up in terms of what I would have hoped to see. Nevertheless, still the sides I'll be interested in outta the gate...



- Very interested in Bama @ Texas. Statement game, not a believer in any Texas hype, and will take anything under 14 points immediately...unless something in week one shows me that I'm off in my preseason analysis.
- SJST @ Aubbie. Could be a look ahead to the Penn St rematch. If I see a +24 or better though, I'll take a shot.
- Tenny @ Pitt. Revenge spot, as Vol turnovers cost them LY. Would love to catch 4 or more.
- Tucky @ Florida. Depends on week one, of course. Kentucky has the ATS #s lately, but there's revenge on table. Could the Gators be a slight hm dog? I'll be on them if so, or if basically a pick em.
- Ville @ UCF. Also depends on week one, but leaning towards UCF at home if less than a FG.
- Baylor @ BYU. Looking at the Mormons, and hoping for less than a FG.
- ASU @ Okie Lite. Lean Cowboys at anything below a TD.
- USC @ Stanford. Stanford has the ATS #s lately, but lean USC. Their 1st test, which they must meet. Will take them at anything below a TD.
- Oregon St @ Fresno. lean Fresno St at less than a FG.

Also...
- NIU, if a road dog at Tulsa
- Wisky, if less than two TDs hosting Wazzou
I haven't run the numbers, so not sure where the lines on those games will be yet. Just spitballing with what I'd like to see whenever they're available. And of course, week one action can alter some of the initial thoughts above.
 
Auburn’s QB competition should be settled this week. Ashford is the man beyond a shadow of a doubt. Even if he makes some mistakes like youngsters do, his dual threat capabilities make this such a no brainer.
 
i know the LV openers were very different, but some of these lines I wanted today are pretty f'n sharp.

Bama is sitting at -20
Tenny is -5
UCF is -6
Okie Lite is -10.5
Wisky is -17.5

grabbed BYU at -3 and Fresno at a pick (now at -1.5)
waiting to see USC and Florida

Good grab on Fresno. They live for playing the P5.
 
You probably know but in case you don't. Circa dropped lines first - seems like it was about 11:50am or so. And they dropped all games at once. Then BOL started their release about Noon and they do a few games at a time. Not sure if BOL is copying Circa at all. I'm told Circa is "sharp" and BOL not so much. But don't really know.

As CarolinaBlue and I have been discussing in his Week 2 thread, hasn't been much difference between the two books and not much movement at all. Seems they're coming out sharp.

Looking back at how things finished this past weekend, they were on point with a lot of TTs. Lost several by the hook. X-fer portal has made it hard to guess how teams will look. Going to be an interesting year for sure.

I got -18 -118 and felt really good about it. I still have a bad taste in my mouth from the 2009-10 game, and would prefer to see UT get some payback, but I have to be realistic.
 
What is up with the USA/CMU line? Did the Chips sustain a bunch of serious injuries?

Was wondering same thing expected doubles....is this book taking a stance on south Bama? They supposed to be improved. That's the side I was looking but number is short
 
That’s a big number but I wonder if Miami is in the Ass Drillem Dept now. This ain’t the normal S Miss squad that you’d usually like as a big DD dog.

Arkansas let down spot? I had GA St and felt robbed honestly….Scary didn’t show much.

I know it was latech but I was super impressed w how improved mizzou defense appeared to be. When I 1st saw this line 8 felt like a lot as it should be a battle, think mizzou will actually be able to hold their own against the run.
 
I’ll prob be in the minority (much like I was w cuse last week) but I’ll prob be on ville getting +6.5 or more. I think there too much selling of ville going on and maybe not enough respect for what cuse has going on. Not to mention one the reasons I liked cuse was because I thought ville was believing some their own hype, lots of ppl picking them as dark horse acc contender, and having beat the brakes off cuse last year, I just don’t think they were ready for the buzzsaw they ran into! I used to like satterfiekd but I’ve soured on him a ton and this the kind of shit why, I think he really smart/good offensive schemer but his team lacks intensity and way too often loses games they were the better team in the 4th qrtr!

I don’t think it will be hard to keep his teams attention and have them playing angry this week tho! Surely if you liked ville last week you must like the talent of which they have plenty? Other than fact I like cuse and don’t like Satterfiekd in ways, I totally understood why ppl were taking ville, Cunningham a stud and they have good playmakers around him. I don’t think ucf is gonna be able to stop ville, ville racked up 500 yards of offense and 42 points in this game last year. Ville prob won’t stop them either but I like getting the head start w who I think has the better qb. The only way I’d pass on ville is if I play over instead As I think both teams are gonna get to 30+.

I woulda thought at ucf it woulda been like a pk! Getting 6.5 seems like a lot, you think there a chance it gets bet up to 7? As bad as ville looked along w fact they prob cost lot of ppl money last week I could see ucf take plenty of money on game day! +7 be lovely!

I hate playing side and total but the over really tempting also.
 
Holy crazy. Did wake really go from -8 to -13 today? Is their qb back? Can’t imagine it moved that much otherwise??
 
Not sure if I can lay -8.5 with razorbacks but I think Barry Odem d is gonna confuse rattler and cause him problems! Not that Georgia st is bad but scary had no success running the ball, I know ppl high on them this year but I got news for everyone, if their game plan gonna be put ball in Rattler’s hands and rely on him I don’t see things going real well! If you a qb and suck with Lincoln Riley as your coach you not gonna get better somewhere else, sorry but it true. The guy turned Faker into a #1 pick and hiesman winner. You don’t have success in his offense you should find a new hobby, or position, qb not for you!

There no way I would pass up +7.5, I’d be kinda surprised it got there, it hit 7 earlier in week and looks like some ville money came in at that point. If i see +7 again I’ll prob grab, I’d think it prob gets there on game day, going above be a bit a surprise,, even if it hits 7.5 probably have to have your finger on the trigger to beat everyone else hitting it!! I can’t imagine this gonna be totally one sided with all “square and sharp” money.

Was just thinking this. Is he gonna get better at South Carolina somehow with Inferior players around him?
 
I heard some podcast where they were gassing up k-st but kinda like scary with Rattler, I cant buy a team w the walking turnover Adrain Martinez playing qb! I suppose unlike Rattler getting away from his former team/coach might help Martinez since we have seen Frost a loser w or without him!! I dunno tho, liked what I saw from mizzou d, should be able to at least slow Vaughn down and force a couple Martinez mistakes! I’d think that game be hit a defensive battle.

Nice get, you all bout getting them opens, I’d prob lose most my bets playing them that soon. It’s ok tho, since I prefer doggies it usually pays off to wait. I’ve noticed you really need to get on them favs early!

Obviously you couldn’t have known Hartman was gonna be back yet right? It wasn’t common knowledge when it got up to -8. Im assuming nobody knew till it went from -8 to -13 right? Not that I really want to play it now but that doesn’t really seem like a big enough move for him does it? Or maybe it was? Their offense was gonna go up and down the field on vsndy w the backup most likely.

It was also a terrible situation for UL last week. COVID scheduling gave them three straight at home vs Syr, all blowouts. So they go in to Syracuse for the first time in four years, thinking it will be easy, and get blasted by the magic of the Dome. To me the outcome says very little about either team’s prospects except to the extent it is a confidence builder for SU.

Agree, except I do think it worth noting how well Shrader did w the passing game, he couldn’t throw worth a damn last year, new oc doing a good job with him. Cuse gonna be a nightmare to deal w if they can make teams have to respect the pass cause they got 2 horses running the ball with the qb and turner!

I don’t know enough bout the kid who was playing in his place to be able to say. I don’t think 5-6 points for a big time qb is too much, unless his backup was running the offense at a comparable level? Im certainly not playing it at -13 when it started at -6! I ain’t the one! lol
 
The move for Hartman was -8 to -13 correct? I’m pretty sure it went from -6.5 to -8 before it was known he was playing.,
