Wondered about the playoff's race and what teams given up already.

Denver, NO appear to have zero real shot at making the playoffs, especially with them losing yesterday. Do you think they give up and start thinking about the draft or not? This question btw is especially important also for the Kings, that need to finish 21th or lower or they will give their draft pick to Chicago (Kings now at 21st place). They trail "only" by 3.5 games behind Utah and the 8th place, but for them it could prove very costly to try and catch the playoffs train, since they probably will fail and probably will have to give their pick to the Bulls.

On the East, do you agree that Bucks and the Knicks should waive the white flag? 6 and 6.5 games behind the 8th seed (just like NO and Denver) and they just continue to play mediocre. I'm pretty sure that Wizards (Durant's year and they got almost zero chance to keep their draft pick) and Pistons will battle till they got even the smallest chance, since both really want to make it to the playoffs, but Orlando... They got really tough schedule ahead of them and very low chance to get to the post season.

What your thoughts guys?

Watching the Clippers the night before last, I was surprised at how hard they played vs Suns. The Suns would set a high screen for the ball handler and the Clippers guy whose man was screening would not only come around and "show" some resistance to the ball handler trying to use the screen, but would often come pretty close to swatting the ball away from the ball handler entirely. The Clippers seemed much more aggressive defensively than before the all star break, and seemed intent on playing well regardless of how good or bad their opponent might be.

This reminded me of how Lebron and the Heat seemed to flip the switch after all star break, and I am wondering, along the same lines, what other teams can be expected to giving 100% effort in the home stretch of the season? The Thunder looked more like they had flipped the switch to "off" when they played the Cavaliers last weekend...

Good point. I expected Spurs to be such a team, to make a strong push till middle of March and then give some rest, but they started off pretty slow. Cleveland looked really poised against Thunder, but as expected, came not ready against the Pistons.
I think that on paper, Thunder should be really ready. I don't have any explanation why they lost to Pacers and Cleveland the way they did, but they made a good trade, this is huge season for them and they usually not the team to take the foot off the gas.
I honestly don't know what "big" teams are in a mood to destroy right now...

So far don't have many things that I like.

Small leans on Heat and Denver, because the lines are just too high. Heat had some nice luck lately and Denver was actually one of the hottest ATS teams going in to ASG break.

I like the Lakers at this spot. Memphis overall should be a decent bet as a dog and decent fade as a favorite. Not a lot of flashy guys there, but they can scratch. Few nice trends backing the Lakers here and Lakers been covering pretty nicely recently.
Still torn about the Thunder game. On one side, hard to believe that Thunder will lose third game in a row fresh off ASG break. On the other side, Dallas needs this one and the line is pretty big. I mean, the feeling is that the extra motivation Thunder might have is already in the line and instead of -4, we get -5.5 here.
Like the Minny here. I expect them to be decent road dog and I'm still looking for decent spots to fade the Raptors.
Wizards kind of in a must win game for them. Wizards can be within 2 games from the Bulls or as far as 4 games from them. Wizards started the second half of the season on the right side (though so are the Bulls). If the line was Wizards +3 or higher, would have been a play for sure... still thinking.

Under in Miami almost surely a play.

The clippers played one of the worst games of basketball I've ever seen from a playoff team. Shooting 40+ 3 pointers is just asinine. They were lazy and disinterested tonight and took the easy way out by taking silly jump shots. This is what makes the Spurs so special.
