A former member of the Phoenix Suns had something less-than-positive to say about the organization, and (surprise, surprise) it wasn’t Marcus Morris.
Miami Heat guard Goran Dragic was asked about his former team by Yahoo! Sports, and he talked about their lack of loyalty.
“It feels like they’re always changing something,” Dragic said “They’re not like Miami, San Antonio, those teams that are really loyal when they find something.”
Frustrated over his role in a crowded backcourt, Dragic publicly ripped the organization and demanded a trade last February, a day before the NBA trade deadline. The Suns obliged, sending the guard and his brother, Zoran, to the Heat in exchange for two future first-round draft picks.
The piece, written by Michael Lee, also quotes Dragic discussing the reasons for his frustrations in Phoenix.
“Me and Bledsoe, we built really great chemistry together, we played well and the whole team did. Everybody expected that we’re going to get some big guys that we thought we needed, but they did another move, they bring in a point guard and it was tough. I was a little bit frustrated. It was tough, especially for me, because I was playing off the ball all the time, and I was guarding [small forwards]. That was tough for me, but they did what they did.”

Dragic signed a 5-year, $85 million deal with Miami last summer. He’s averaging 11.9 points per game this season, his lowest figure since the 2011-12 season when he was a member of the Houston Rockets. His field goal percentage, three-point percentage and free throw percentage are all down substantially from last year’s numbers as well.
Dragic’s comments on the Suns come a week after Marcus Morris called the organization a “clown show.”Morris was traded to the Detroit Pistons last summer as the team cleared cap space for a run at free agent forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who eventually signed with the San Antonio Spurs.
 
Dragic is right on one hand, but on the other hand...
Miami and SAS won titles with their roster, so they felt like they had a good thing going and didn't want to change things too much, believing in their players and just tried and added some players. Not sure if they would have been as loyal if their team failed to win. Suns roster wasn't that good and things broke apart when Nash asked Phoenix to leave them for LA - so it wasn't on them. I'm 99% sure that they wouldn't have traded Nash to any team, if he didn't want to leave. Dragic is the one that left them in the beginning to go to Houston, because he didn't want to be second to Nash (and I can understand him), so it's hard to talk about loyalty - it should go both ways if we are talking about blind loyalty, that ignores reality...

Heat really need to get all the wins they can get, before their next three road trips...
 
I'm shocked that Heat lost to the Knicks and not only because I had them in a teaser...
Looking at their schedule, this one was really a must win on paper and they came out just absolutely flat... They really played horrible their last two home games, before heading out to a very very very long schedule, without two home games in a row, till the beginning of February - more than a month and 16 games!!!
