and GO!

Intials lines/totals that jump out to me:

Webb is a nice size doggie
Col/Bos OVER 10
Tex/Pitt OVER 9
GNATS +164, but Id want to see where the line goes, hopefully up, just basically I dont think Cabrera should be favored so much.
A's/Stros UNDER 8
A's +148
Giants +106

just whittled out the definite no plays to see what's left.

Agreed the Mets line looks odd considering how they have been playing lately. Maine is perfect on the road (5 wins in 6 starts, the ND they also won). I think I will probably be on this one.

Most of Cabrera's games at home go over. He has the ability to be real good, or stink up the joint. Line is too high for a Balt side play for me, and I would need more with the Nats, as I think Balt should win this. Only play I would consider is an over, but I just can't tal what pitcher I am going to get to make it definite.

I would love to back Olson and the Fish, but I think I may go with Cleveland if this makes the cut. I could be swayed with a bit better line on Olson, like the 150 range, as they had the day off to get their Pen back in order. And they do play well enough at home.

Now could be the time for Duke to get his first home win of this season. Pittsburgh played valiantly in the Bronx, but just couldn't hold it down in the end. I am not real high on Millwood this year, so with the low line, Pit looks god to me.

I think Webb is a pretty darn good pitcher. However have the Yankees awoken from their slumber and are making thier charge. Wang is decent enough, I don't fear anyone in the Yankee rotation, as I don't think many do. But I am just not sure if I want to play with this potential firecracker. If the line goes up, I think it might initially, then go down, I may play this small. The Unit could give some good tips to Webb on how to beat his old team.

I will almost certainly be on the d-rays tomorrow. If Kazmihr throws his usual game, he has the potential to go deep and take the bullpen out of the equation. Pads off a sweep by the Mariners then have to go cross country to play this scrappy team. I don't think Maddux will be enough to stop them.

Really want to take oakland here, but they are just not scoring for Kennedy in his starts. They have only averaged a little over 2.5 runs per game he has started (throwing out the 17 run anomoly) while he has given up an average of only 2.2 or so. Under looks nice, but it is juiced really high. I would say this one goes down because of the streak they are on. Oswalt doesn't scare me, and neither does the Houston offense.

Seattle is on fire. Like that is some major news. Washburn has good enough numbers for me to back them here against a team that, like Forrest Gump said is "like a box of chocolates."

My Cards have played pretty well lately. Thompson has looked good enough for me to possibly back them at this short price. Bannister had a nice win last time out, but I think the cards bats are waking up a little bit. My personal rules are keeping me off this, for now.

Lowry with a very good home record. The problem always is with these Giants is whether they give run support or not. AJ dropped his last 3 (only 2 being decidions). This could be the team he needs to face, as he is 5-1 against the giants in his career. That number might be a bt misleading as he hasn't seen this team since '05 when he was with the Marlins. Leaning hard towards the giants here.

well as I typed the above, a couple lines moved. think I may go ahead and play some now.

mets from -112 to -107
was ov 9 went from -105 to -108
TB from -117 to -113
Oakland from +155 to +146
Seattle down 2 to +126
Frisco down 5 to +103
Cards up 3 to -109

I keep telling myself, the Mets have to win a game right? but then they end up losing. Same argument again.

The over might be a nice play but the thing with the reason why I like the Gnats is they've been playing decent ball and I still find that they aren't getting respect. I mean they were 13-15 in May, and 4-5 this month. If you just bet them everyday at the pace they are winning games, you'll be up for the huge rest of the season as they are almost always sizable dogs. Bowie, yes he hasn't lasted more than 5 but he's provided some solid outtings each time.

I would love to back Olson and the Fish, but I think I may go with Cleveland if this makes the cut. I could be swayed with a bit better line on Olson, like the 150 range, as they had the day off to get their Pen back in order. And they do play well enough at home.

If this moved in the favor of the fish I would possibly bite, but the OVER might be a nice play in this game. Carmona's day/night splits, Olsen against the Indians, you'd expect the Indians to put up quite a few runs, but you expect that almost each game.

Now could be the time for Duke to get his first home win of this season. Pittsburgh played valiantly in the Bronx, but just couldn't hold it down in the end. I am not real high on Millwood this year, so with the low line, Pit looks god to me.

Yea Texas is a terrible road team and Millwood is Millwood, but can you trust the Bucs to outscore the Rangers? I would rather have the Texas pen than the Pirates at the moment and thats when the Rangers may take the game.

I think Webb is a pretty darn good pitcher. However have the Yankees awoken from their slumber and are making thier charge. Wang is decent enough, I don't fear anyone in the Yankee rotation, as I don't think many do. But I am just not sure if I want to play with this potential firecracker. I just think it's value on Webb, I would play it just for that reason and see what happens even if I feel the Yanks should win.

I thought the same, but can you really ever take the D-Rays pen out of the equation? I mean Kazmir walks batters quite a bit and that might get him in trouble. He's gone more than 7 innings once and gets in about 6 on average. If he goes 6, two innings of bullpen no Al Reyes is scary enough. I would lean over in this game if anything.

Really want to take oakland here, but they are just not scoring for Kennedy in his starts. A's are just on fire, 8-2 in June, one loss being lost in extra innings, the other a near no hitter from Schilling. You just have to take the A's as a dog right now. They don't win pretty but it's a W.

Seattle is on fire. Like that is some major news. Washburn has good enough numbers for me to back them here against a team that, like Forrest Gump said is "like a box of chocolates."

Hill's seems to be back in his groove, that's a concern but I do see why you would back the M's here. Washburn has been a bit shaky lately.

My Cards have played pretty well lately. Thompson has looked good enough for me to possibly back them at this short price. Bannister had a nice win last time out, but I think the cards bats are waking up a little bit. My personal rules are keeping me off this, for now.

tough play, I'd lean KC because I feel Bannister is a better pitcher. Just always tought to back KC and their bats.

If Lowry's not a dog I won't touch it. I am just not as high as others are on Burnett.

I am far from making any bet but Colorado and Washington are probably worth looking at. GL Did bet Washington a few minutes ago. Very average bet as spotwise it is not so good but the number is off by at least 30 cents so a bet is mandatory. GL

This card does nothing for me, but I dont see why the toothless Giants side (15 runs in 7 games) will beat Burnett of he's on (only 2 of his last 10 starts have finished w/an ERA higher than 3.86, regularly leaving during the 8th or beyond). Lack of run support has cost him for his last two POR losses, but Toronto is 7-1 SU last 8 vs lefties (12-6 SU overall), hitting them at .288 this season. Run support shouldnt be an issue. I can see the *upset* result here being the total going Over (both sides are hammering out the Unders), rather than the unfavoured side winning.

Thats exactly why I bet on the Over last night between TOR & SFN. Over's price had climbed steeply at one of my books, and all the average facts pointed that way, except Morris pitching at home (which of course was rendered mute after half an inning). 7 runs after 4 innings, and it stil didnt come in. Nothing more frustrating than "mandatory bets" which do almost everything to win but dont.

Tigers are going to steamroll the Brewers (1-7 L8) on the road, 12-17 as a team away, Verlander on the mound, Tigers (21-7) dominate interleague play, Suppan giving up 4er in 6 of last 7 starts.

Made my second bet. Oakland. Very simply Oakland is good after a shutout and good after a day off. Both apply. They are a cheerful optimistic team playing a team with 5 wins in their last 20 all vs losing teams. Pense came back yesterday but got no hits and has 4 walks this season. Berkman is likely to drop his apply and not play tonight and he has hit in 5 of their last 6 games. Not seeing why this is a better matchup for Oz then his last 2 home games. Thinking Yankees at the moment. Do not trust Webb tonight at all but actually slept last night so much more study required. GL

I agree with Oaktown, line actually caught me offguard last night when I saw it. Even if Astros are winning late, if they put the ball near Wheeler's hands then say hello to a blown game, he blows and Lidge should actually be closing again, except for when they play the cards.

Yes Oswalt is 4-1 w/ 1.71 at home and a decent amount of Astros have seen Kennedy before and have some success but those are my only concerns

Oswalt's record is technically 4-1, but the 'Stros are 4-3 when he starts at home.

I am seeeing a lot of love for Toronto today. I am still thinking about this. Frisco is not an option but this may well be a pass. Toronto management went a little crazy letting Burnett go the distance in Minn. In his last 3 starts he is averaging 123 pitches a game and Frisco in the last 2 games has had to use their pen to cover 1 inning while he is going on 4 days rest. The ump is something of a homer. Let me say again I see this as a possible play on Toronto anyway but there are a lot of options today.

I'm thinking of not playing the Snakes. I know it's an attractive price and all, but somehow I can't back them against the speeding train. I'm not afraid Webb will fall apart, what I'm afraid is D-backs' bats not showing up AT ALL.

I am see many posts all over on Pitt over today. Have not been posting totals and do not intend to but would avoid this play.

Adding Florida ml. Cleveland is still in a slump. Cleveland has a losing road record Cleveland like Houston is still playing 3 rd city in 3 days. Carmona is much worse in night games. Florida is off 2 home losses to Tampa an instate rival so motivation for this team is maximun and with a day off clear pen edge. GL
