To win series: Thunder -350. Timberwolves +280

True on the last part --Nuggets roster was a mash unit and they still took OKC to 7 ...
Don't discount the NBA and the networks wanting SGA and Anthony Edwards to be part of the next mega superstar group ...6 games is highly likely , 7 is their wet dream
Yeah... a series that is best to see teams first... Agree also that Under or nothing probably this series. If I am doing the math correctly..
Anthony Edwards shot 24-66 in the 4 game season series vs Minnesota.
I'm not trying to over handicap the regular season. Why? Because these teams were done with the season series with several days left in February.
In fact, these two teams played 3 times between February 13th (last game before the ASG) and February 24th.
OKC only had the break and a road game in Utah during that stretch.
My big thing with Minnesota is that the team we are seeing in these playoffs is the one that finished 17-4 the last 5-6 weeks of the season. The Ant Man we are seeing is the one that calmed down and wasn't as inconsistent in that same stretch as the other 75% of the season beforehand.
That's how I'm trying to analyze Minnesota -- the last 32 games.
The most memorable regular season matchup was the final one, an OT thriller. That was a wild Minnesota 41-19 fourth to tie it and eventually win in overtime. I remember that one well -- I either lost or won on that game (lol).
Agree.OKC -350 feels rich to me considering the trouble they had last round. I like them to win a tough series but that number is steep.
Game over.7 mins left...
Let's start some discussion...
Minnesota three point.shooting is their primary offense.
Points in the paint are 48-12.
As of 25 real time mins ago -- Minnesota had ZERO fast break points
Wasn't aware but it would be silly to say I'm shocked. So enjoyable avoiding that trash...and that includes any show involving sports debate as well.Lastly, SGA is a great frickin player. The SM slander is hilarious. Give it up simps.
It's all about the amount of calls he receives.Wasn't aware but it would be silly to say I'm shocked. So enjoyable avoiding that trash...and that includes any show involving sports debate as well.
Yeah Naz is brutal right now.
Best thing that happened to him the other night was foul trouble
Yeah, but I assume if we check any team in the league today, 3 point % decides a lot and would have similar % (compared to each record overall obviously)...

Teams that catch a decent night behind the arc usually beat a team that have a bad night jacking three pointers...
My problem is that I feel that the coaches in the league forgot how to use real Centers on both ends of the floor. Gobert is catching so much heat, but he is super solid. They simply don't use him correctly. Under today's coaches and style, Shaq wouldn't have seen a minute on the floor...And thus the problem for me trying to figure nba out anymore, lol

Adams, Gobert, Robinson - you see the impact they bring. They change how the other team plays on offense and they are constant rebound threat under other team's rim, making it so much harder to go on fast breaks, yet so little respect.
Why? Because teams too often forget that coaching shouldn't be only about auto-switches on defense. That would leaves big guys guarding quick small players... I hate auto switching. Fight through screens, play zone, bring help, but it's annoying sometimes to see that one team can do the same play 4-5 times in a row and get the same match up...
I hate screens in general. No one is ever set and the game wasn’t designed to have a dozen if not more screens every possession.
NBA quick fix is screens need to be established for a full 2 seconds and can’t be done outside of the arc.
It would bring the big man back from not having to guard all of these silly screens. If you can’t separate to get your own shot then dump it into the paint and play inside out.
Screens have really ruined the NBA
Never heard this take, not sure I agree but it interesting. Being someone who usually needed a screen to get to rim it hard for me to sign off on that! Lol. I do agree they get away with not being set to often but in general I think the problem is defensive players unwillingness to fight thru them and as @divol said all the damn switching cause everyone hunting 3s so coaches feel the need to switch everything. There only a handful of guys I’m worrying bout taking 3s off the bounce, outside those guys I don’t get why switch and have a guard putting your big on skates? It not like Brunson or the majority these guys getting the screens are gonna kill you w 3s they not even looking for them usually they doing it cause they know they will get the switch over and over to get the matchup they want. Call me crazy but if I know why they doing something I’m not gonna give it to them!
No rest for the wickedDidn’t Foster work last night?
He’s in Minny
Malloy a big homer there, too.
I don’t think basketball was intended to see 6 back screens and players running marathons each game. Fighting over a screen is one thing but why didn’t this happen in the MJ era? Because you could simply hand check the ball handler off his spot on the screen. But these guys need to be set like Malone was for Stockton. You need to know it’s coming and it should be so set that the defense can talk about it each time. They need to do something to encourage more paint play. Screens are where I’d look.
They are probably why I'm much more interested in NBA than in the past but then I was a guard that needed screens to get shots. Sometimes multiple screens. I absolutely despise one on one basketball which, again, is probably why I enjoy the game more today at the pro level than in the past. Also why I really don't enjoy watching KD play even though he's been a sun. Bores the shit out of me. Need ball movement.Screens create confusion, meant to get mismatches. I coach a top high school team in the state and we run cross screens, down screens, back screens ,double screens and every other screen you can think of. Slipping the screen has become a big part of the game now at every level. Defensively we switch everything so screens dont bother us.
Interesting.Didn’t Foster work last night?

Interesting.
Oey.
Not letting this dissuade me.
