Timberwolves vs. Thunder Series Discussion Thread

Thunder handled Denver despite Denver making crazy amounts of 3s at a good clip.

Wolves come in ice cold from 3.

Obvious improvement to the mean expected. But this Wolves team seems much easier to guard than Joker and playoff Taliban Murray.

Nuggets roster was a mash unit with a HC who barely got his feet wet and they still took OKC to 7 ...

Don't discount the NBA and the networks wanting SGA and Anthony Edwards to be part of the next mega superstar group ...6 games is highly likely , 7 is their wet dream

True on the last part --

Also true was Luka and Ant last year in the same spot.

I have been thinking about this series a bit today, and in all honesty, I need to see some tape first before any wagers come into play...

This feels like a defensive series, though -- game #1 could be a feeling out event, and that UNDER 216 would be my only lean and initial stalk on the live betting market.

If I am doing the math correctly..

Anthony Edwards shot 24-66 in the 4 game season series vs Minnesota.

I'm not trying to over handicap the regular season. Why? Because these teams were done with the season series with several days left in February.

In fact, these two teams played 3 times between February 13th (last game before the ASG) and February 24th.

OKC only had the break and a road game in Utah during that stretch.

My big thing with Minnesota is that the team we are seeing in these playoffs is the one that finished 17-4 the last 5-6 weeks of the season. The Ant Man we are seeing is the one that calmed down and wasn't as inconsistent in that same stretch as the other 75% of the season beforehand.

That's how I'm trying to analyze Minnesota -- the last 32 games.

The most memorable regular season matchup was the final one, an OT thriller. That was a wild Minnesota 41-19 fourth to tie it and eventually win in overtime. I remember that one well -- I either lost or won on that game (lol).

Yeah... a series that is best to see teams first... Agree also that Under or nothing probably this series.

OKC -350 feels rich to me considering the trouble they had last round. I like them to win a tough series but that number is steep.

7 mins left...

Let's start some discussion...

Minnesota three point.shooting is their primary offense.

Points in the paint are 48-12.

As of 25 real time mins ago -- Minnesota had ZERO fast break points

Game over.

Huge, HUGE credit to OKC staff and adjustments at HT.

They flipped the script on Julius and Ant Man in the 2h....

OKC efficient from 3.

Minnesota wildin from 3.

Both teams have great length. The OKC length won out over 48 mins.

Just typical OKC.

Lastly, SGA is a great frickin player. The SM slander is hilarious. Give it up simps.
