Jays have the sick day record 14-3 but even with Wang being less then100% I still dont like them. NYY lineup is hitting pretty good of late and despite the issues in the pen NY really has outplayed Tor this series IMO. One bad inning in Game 1 which happened to be against one of the best SP in the majors put the game out of reach. Would like to see lineups but like NYY ML -160ish....Last few games Jyas scored 2,3,9(6 of the pen) and 1 .....

Probably looking @ Twinkies and UNDER . Orioles have struggled in day games 5-14 3.2 runs but nothing but talking outloud on the under...I know Baker has been rehabbing in the minors so want to checkhis progress....

Hamels has been terrible his last 2 outings and has had some day issues . Bailey gets called up and he was okay so far @ AAA but shelled in his start last year @ Philly....Hamels has been tough on Philly in the past but his velocity seemed down last start and just dont like what I see....probably play the over here but be advised I played the over tonight thinking this was the game that Volzquez got hit.....

Boston game is interesting but definetly thinking under ...Shields was pissed about how bad he was @ Boston so much he had a point to prove his next outing which was dominant at home. Lester is basically laying more to Shields then he was to Kazmir who was off the DL making his season debut.....curious to see where it goes ....:shake:

lot of opposite leans from you, SN. Hopefully we can both profit tomorrow, but i like the MIN Over and the Sox Under (probably not enough to play it though)

...any feeling on the ATL Under or would you have balls enough to play the Texas Under with how they're swinging the bats??

Jurrjens has been terrible last few and I think Nolasco is playing with someone's 4 leaf clover . Every road game looks like he is about to implode and suddenly the home team fucks up and he rides the wave for abit. The price is high but the way Nolasco is pitching he isnt going to give his team a better chance the Jurrjens of winning . The Marlins pen has lost to many games the past week. ATL seemed to hand them a pity win today when the put into cruise control for which I am very happy for cause it cashed FLA and Over 9.5...but still they had 2 runs off a soft tossing SP and ATL played with some regulars out...

Is Jurrjens issue lately because they were day starts ? 2.76 ERA at night...2.06 at home....no idea..

Simply dont trust Florida to close out a close game and I dont like there lineup they are surviving on the timely HR ball.....

Just a game I rather stay away from a side . The price has been high all series for ATL and I definitely think FLA is pretenders and playing some tough road games might be the situation where they start to falter ....

GL if you roll with that...

Looking at the over in Minny....Crawford + Baker off dl + Olson first game in a dome ? + Nathan has gone 4 straight...

LAD...Cubs streak is over...strong pitcher rematch angle

Kind of being contrarian in liking that Minny under . Think we could see some rested players and maybe distracted minds with O's flying to Toronto afterwards and Minny heading to Chicago. Mauer usually sits these weekday day games. Olsen can keep teams off balance and I remember before Minny played Pettitte I did some research on just how bad Minny was hitting vs LHP outside of the top 4 hitters . So that with Balt scoring 3 runs per game in day tilts and being 13-5 under and twins being 10-7 under in day games has be thinking good spot for a scoring lull. Twins avg 3.4 runs in day games so the offenses combine for 6.6 runs so far in day games...

yeah that ATL total seems like an easy over to me but then I see how FLA barely cashed the over today and think there run is about to end. Nolasco just survives starts when he pitches . Think Philly had him down 3-0 and suddenly he was up 7-3 and the Mets had him on the ropes 9 freakin hits in 5 innings only 3 runs...Jurrjens slumping last two but his home and night splits real strong. FLA last 2 living on th elong ball. The more I look at it the more I see confusion.....would say no opinion cause I have equal arguements for why it might go over or under.....FLA seems due for an under though...

I think there is about as good a chance as any for this game to go under iwith CLE. Sabathia last 7 or 8 starts has been real good in just about all of them minus a start or two vs KC. Texas has some issues with LHSP. With Millwood going he can be a nice innings eater after the DL trip . Which is what we want because the Rangers pen is tired and terrible. Huge difference in likilng the UNDER here is the SP. Cle has thrown 2 young LHP in Laffey and Lee who had pitched well above expectations and Mastny was thrown to the lions. Texas has its on issues starting Murray and Mathis kids from Triple AAA and Ponson who isnt much better then AAA material on 3 days rest. Millwood faces his old team and is definetly the best CLE has seen this series while Sabathia is clearly the toughest TEX has seen and did a nice job vs them already at home. :shake:BOL

LAD : Looks good as well good points IMGN . This game should be higher in the -140 range . Cubs about 250 away vs RHP and 5-9 . Last 2 wins were Baek and Moehler and earlier vs Matt Morris . The solid ones defetaing Lohse who simply had an off day and Harang who was outdueled by Zambrano before the REDS lineup was hitting . To further the point of how bad CHI is vs RHSP away they have scored THREE runs or less in 10 of the 14 road games . To which they are 1-9 in those 10 games . So the Only real SP was Lohse which they scored better then 3 runs off. Dempster has been solid but much better at home.

The kicker is in my eyes Dempster survived his last outing at home vs COL which means a bad outing is on the horizon. Billinsgley 15 hits and 3 runs last 27 innings mostly away..

Nice work IMGN.....

Also looking @ Pitt and under. Astros slumping offensively ...better chance for the home team to scratch one out .....Sort of interested in CHI because Contreras is HOT and when he is streaking stand back but KC has given him some issues...Meche has been fairly decent himself of late biug disparity bewteen effectiveness at night for these 2 favoring Jose.....:shake:

LAD : Looks good as well good points IMGN . This game should be higher in the -140 range . Cubs about 250 away vs RHP and 5-9 . Last 2 wins were Baek and Moehler and earlier vs Matt Morris . Good stuff...

I think I'm going to take another day off. Had a rough Wed although I have a good feeling it would have been a 5-2 day instead of a 2-5 day if this was any of the previous seasons in MLB - simply this season a lot of teams and their pens suck a$$ and it seems like some teams simply quit when it seems like a game will get out of their hands. Really dissapointing :(

The lines for today's games are tricky imo, plenty of bad games looking good thanks to line set-ups. This card stinks, really. I'm not going to throw my money into the wind, waiting for Friday... BOL guys and remember to play smart!
:shake:

I am staying at a casino and Starbucks opened up so I am online so not much study time so far. I remember liking Homer Bailey. He was 5-4 as a starter for the Reds and 2-1 on the road. Based on 15.1 innings he has a day ERA of 9.39. In his last 5 minor league starts 4 were bad and 1 good. He did seem to pitch better on the road. Later.

Looking at the over in Minny....Crawford + Baker off dl + Olson first game in a dome ? + Nathan has gone 4 straight...

LAD...Cubs streak is over...strong pitcher rematch angle

the over in the dome seems logical given the circumstances

what strong pitcher rematch angle are you referring to? both dempster & billingsley were credited with a ND for their prior meeting.

Made a half unit play on Phillies over 9 minus 15 cents. Yes I know about Chuck. Hate handicapping on short time.

here are my f*ckin plays. im so pist about this baseball season.
Min/Bal Un 9 (-120) , Minny (-122), Ny/Tor Ov 8 (-125) , Bos Celtic -2.5 GL to everybody.

Let me make this Clear. I actually like the Yankees. Yesterday, I forgot how twisted Toronto is so I lost half a unit. I still have to play Toronto today first 5 and game for half a unit. Very simply the umpire is very anti chalk. Wang is playing on 4 days and a morning game to accentuate it which seems fairly bad to me. His current form of 17 runs in his last 3 games is absurd. Toronto is a great day team. McGowan is playing in the Day which suits him unlike the game yesterday. Have no idea how well Posada will play first game back and am stunned they sent Geise down. So I see this as clear action.

JAYS TEAM TOTAL OVER -3.5- THEY CAN GET 4 OFF WANG THEY ARE A good day team, and wang has struggled, plus toronto has been scoring of late- if they have their good day at the plate they will get 5+ runs easy, if not they will likely get 1 or 2 runs and lose 6-1 or 6-2

I never play parlays but going with the home teams with their aces on the mound. I don't play huge favs either. Hamels has sucked lately but Phil has won 3 of his 4 home starts this year. Bailey making his first start today had an over 4 era in AAA. Ouch. Of course the way the basbeall season has been going, he'll pitch a gem today.

Neither team is wortha crap at this point in the season but I am going to go with the better pitcher in this one. Yanks usually play well in day home games. Small parlay for some daytime bases.

NYY/PHIL PARLAY

Thought the same way at first until looking it up...it was the Zambrano / Lowe matchup that had ND's on both sides. Even though its going to be seperated by one start ( still applies ) - the Cubs/ LA series will offer two pitcher rematches...Dempster / Billingsley and then Gallagher / Kuroda on Friday night. Very unlikely that Cubs win both imo even w/o the angle coming into play...X opportunity to make some dough:15_10_5:

I understand the injury situation but still playing Cardinals plus 2 cents for half a unit first game. Still see them as the deeper and more complete team.

So with Homer we are working with alot of "theories" . He doesnt appear to be pitching well the past month and is going on short rest after being pulled on SUnday in the midst of another lackluster outing. Cant say he was distracted because he didnt know he was going to the big club till the manager went to the mound to pull him. His day splits in the minors and majors seem to indicate he allows more runs then at night. He was waxed @ Philly last year .

His walk levels seem to indicate his command is still not consistent IMO from the stats. Interesting matchup vs Philly who has some patient hitters with alot of power.

Hamels doesnt seem right . They think his command is off but I saw some drop in velocity from the highlights . Luis Gonzalez a LHB sat on a 3-2 change and sent out of the park . So you hope he isnt tipping his changeup....(cause it wasnt that bad a pitch , definetly down in the zone)

Lean Reds +1.5 but scared because Phillies are 7-2 off a shutout ast 2 + seasons.

DO like the over though. You have 3 unders in teh series expected to be high scoring , still humid not to hot , a young SP who you dont know whatto expect who might leave 3 innings to the pen or more. Hamels has had almost all his bad starts in the day over his career ....Over 9 eeven with Meriweather .....

I did play the game over . I do agree Wang is struggling he went for an MRI after his 1st bad start . So something doesnt feel right . He has struggled lately because he cant put away hitters more then anything . More hits and runs then normal but they arent smoking him. The way Tor has hit recent RHP though I dont see why they would or should score any runs easy. They couldnt hit Moose yesterday , until that terrible inning the jays had 3 runs off Joba making his 1st start and a 31 yr old making his ML debut , then they scored 2 and 3 to finish up in LAA...

GL though cause I just want runs....

Very unlikely that Cubs win both imo even w/o the angle coming into play...X opportunity to make some dough

Wow! Great catch, imgn. That is a misplacement of info by ESPN!

Taking a something of a position with Houston tonight as they play the Cards at home tomorrow. Playing them in various ways straight and also a small parlay of them to under 8.5. Backe career numbers vs Pitt 4 straight wins home and away. 26 innings and 5 runs. Pitt winning percentage after a win 37% vs Houston 53% after a loss.

The big issue with Houston is there lack of offense . I dont doubt either SP will be solid tonight (looking at previous history) its a matter of who hits better with RISP....

last 7 for Houston 1,2,1,1,1,2,2 runs scored....which is why the WON just 1 game in the past week...they shutout there opponent..

Wow Betemit CRUSHED that !

Nothing like playing an over @ Philly with a 9 total and the game has 8 hits !

I should not have played that total. When I first started betting baseball I knew better than that. Always wait before playing a total with a pitcher who you have not seen go 3 starts. Early morning mistake.

The downfall of quick decisions. I know those pitfalls all to well :shake:

i see u and Rex both on TB.. i just dont see what points that way .. not to say im playin boston but clearly boston looks like the easiest play at a short price.. why?

Puzzling. Actually intended to bet under and Boston and got sidetracked. Only real argument I saw for Tampa was no Ortiz helps Shields a lot but that argues under and such a cheap price and I was sleeping. Oh well. Played WS ml and Texas first 5 and game. Chief reasons for Texas was a days angle for Millwood and the heat. In the past Millwood was worse in hot weather but his last 2 home games were 86 and around 90 and no problem. This year and last on the road Sabathia played in 86 degree weather 1 time. That was in Texas and he gave up 4 runs in 6 innings. That was his hottest game. Just not used to the heat and this supposed to be around 93 or 94. Think it will be hard for him to pitch plus all the regular relief for Texas rested yesterday.

Looks like SportsNut was right about the total but did not think Shields would be this bad. Meanwhile I sit wondering how I missed that start.

Sorry guys I had to run out for awhile.

My reasoning for TB was not very indepth. Pena on the DL for them probably means more then losing Ortiz in Boston. So with a LHSP opposing them Pena's loss I thought could be more easier erased.

This was a huge series for TB and I felt they would real try to step it up in here with one of there co-aces on the hill .

Basically I trusted Shields here . His spoke openly about how disappointed he was with his performance @ Fenway earlier this year to which he responded with a CG 1 hit shutout . So thought huge motivation factor on his side. Despite his so-so track record on the road and even to some degree at night . I really thought most of his struggles were due to untimely TB errors . Basically I trusted his 2007 stats more looking at his performance away , at night , on 6 days rest , etc more then 2 months of 2008 . Hrad to believe someone could be so great at home and so much worse away unless IMO it was the untimely factor. Meaning just whatever could go wrong did when he pitched away. His start last year @ Fenway he was very good so didnt fear the road factor. I thought he was capable of holding the Boston order especially looking at 2 of the past 3 times he faced them. The beating was inevitable earlier @ Fenway after owning them at home and seeing them a few days later . Shields doesnt have lights out stuff like Beckett . So its much harder to be that on point when your working with less stuff....

With Lester he was so-so last 2 starts granted away but also thought some pressure for him returning home after his no-no. While Boston lineup was still better and Lester had a real solid track record at home so far just thought he was due for an unraveling type start. Which would put some of the weaker relievers in play for Boston....

So far outside of thinking the ball might be jumping @ Fenway like here in NY not much right .

Shields definetly would appear motivated by getting ejected but who knows I didnt see what occurred.......Need some unlikely contributions from the Bottom of the order and hope Balfour can lull the Sox to sleep and TB can steal one late like Florida did to ATL yesterday:shake:BOL

TB had there chance at a comeback in the top4th and it simply diesnt appear meant to be. They had 2nd and 3rd with 1 out and Gomes coming up but his spot went to a LH Floyd who K'd and the 9 hitter grounded out . To which TB responded by allowing 3 more runs....

Messed around with the Under @ Texas ( DEEP BREATH) as well as minopr plays 1st 5 under and Texas ML full game . Same deal with the Under @ Chicago screwed around with the 1st 5 under and KC ML.....

Playing LAD later as thats already been established for a few units....

Not sure about NYM game ....2 young SP and well NYM is just about better eveywhere possibly even with Pelfrey ....

Well Banks to Pelfrey is a huge difference but strong trends favoring Mets for sure. Betting very small I played Mets game and Padres first half. You look at Pelfreys road night first half's and its bloody. Every scouting report I read over extended periods raved about the remarkably efficient Mr Banks.

I am passing my decision making stinks the past 3 days ....I think Pelfrey is better then Banks but it really doesnt matter . Only matters who is better to day . Pelfrey just to stiff when he pitches....
