Seems like a bad call to be honest. I can understand the rule as it's written, but when it's a case of a snap they aren't expecting that doesn't seem to be what the rule is intending to prevent, and shouldn't have been a penalty.

When does the NHL announce the Winter Classic games for 2018? They're doing something wrong if there isn't one in Buffalo. Especially seeing as how it's the 10th anniversary of the first Winter Classic, which took place here in Buffalo.
