some of the hot teams are TB/BAL/CWS/TX/PIT/CIN.
some of the cold teams are NYY/SEA/WAS/MIL/SF.
the AL is 16-11 thru the 1st 2 days of IL play.

with the rare exception of this saturday, the halos flat out own the dodgers...especially at the Big A.
significant reverse line movement on KC tomorrow as well.

in 22 days prior to IL play, AL games were 83-48-5 to Under (35.2% Overs)

In 2 days of IL play, games with an AL home team are U/O 5-5-1

Played KC and the under 8.5 already. Both lineups are mostly unfamiliar with the opposing pitcher, but I have a little more faith in Greinke to pull this one out. KC is hitting around .300 during their last 7 games, though most of the success is against righties. Hoping to see a 3-2 sort of game here.

I am looking at playing the Rangers to finish off the Stros today too. Gabbard has been pitching well all season and Backe is historically terrible on the road and in day games. Went to the game last night and the Rangers are stroking the ball pretty solidly...Oswalt got ripped last night. Lots of good contact. I would guess that since Hamilton left with "exhaustion" last night that he won't play today, which certainly has a profound impact on the lineup.

Young is about the only guy on the Rangers squad with a history vs Backe and he is 9 of 10.

Herm, I jumped on under 11 in that Houston/Texas game as I also had noticed Gabbards' decent pitching as of late. We'll see how it goes though, eh? :shake:

so far I have a small bet on under 5 first 5 in Cardinals and a 1unit bet split on Lannan first 5 ml and plus .5 which is clearly logical and hopefully lucky.

my afternoon plays are as follows, in order from what I like the most to what i like the least:
1. Toronto Bj's (+110)
2. Tor/Phi Un 9.5 (-125)
3. Cleveland Injuns (-117)
4. Cle/Cin ov 7.5 (-125)

GL to all who are placing wagers.

Yea, under certainly could be the play. It is looking almost certain Hamilton is out today and he is the main catalyst of the Rangers offense. Neither closer played last night, not sure if that helps the under though, since they are both so unpredictable!

I like Toronto a lot today too. I think Marcum is one of the more underrated SP in MLB today and Kendrick is pretty middle of the road. I don't trust Toronto's offense all that much, but they have shown some signs of life.

Like the under in Toronto as well, Marcum better on the road, Kendrick at home. Marcum was 7-2 on the road last year w/ a 2.72 ERA and .233 BAA. Both of the bullpens have been pretty solid this year as well.

I did take Texas under 11 and surprisingly I am not betting against Backe on the road today. Very simply Cooper is terrible for low and midium home chalk, Backe in his last 2 games has 4 walks and 12 strikeouts, and Texas is Terrible in these day games at home game 3. Anyone else and I would be playing the road team.

The thing that scares me about that Toronto game is Marcum's daytime performance, which has been pretty poor. He especially seems to give up a bunch of HRs, which has killed him. Still gonna roll with him, but probably not all that big.

Good point on Texas, they are 3-10 in day games...absolutely horrible.

Wind blowing out to right today, Bradley and Byrd both parked one over the fence there yesterday. Still think the under is a good play though.

Really like the 1st 5 under with the Angels. Neither team has had much success against the opposing pitcher and Weaver is studly in day games and at home. Small wind to left and a few injuries. Some good under trends but a bad under ump(though he is 4-4 this year).

i honestly just dont see the under in the marlins game.. winds blowin out and bradenhop should never warrant a total of 8.. plus greinke gives up quite a few flyballs so look for the fish to bomb a couple..

Out of the loop play. Way behind on posting but coming up have a half unit bet on Colorado minus .5 first 5. Obviously I have reasons also obviously worried about Francis current form.

:hang:
crap they are playing in philly again

I would have rather they didnt too.

Had the under.

WTF happened to marcum in the 2nd?

Oh well.

Nut, wherever you are, paging sportsnut.
Thoughts about wang and your stankees tonight??

I was in Philly all day yesterday and when I came home this morning was just exhausted to tired to even look at this stuff...the reds came through for me yesterday...Have to say though Philly was a good atmosphere and real cool place. Went to MadRiver which was nice laidback atmosphere with a rare ratio of many more girls then guys..good time...

Cap- Yanks vs a LHP?

Hard to not like the Under. Molina behind the dish I think has 23 starts and UNDER 20 times !

Mets have improved vs RHP of late but still only 266 away. They didnt do much vs redding or Bergmann at home last series. The pitchers they did hit where ion bad spots like Cueto on the road as a rookie , Matt Belisle just very medicore , Bard Penny was rip for a beatdown , we have seen them struggle away vs Haren , Webb though Delgados HR still looking for a place to land , Hudson , Smoltz etc....factored in with Wangs great track record at home seems likely the Mets are scuffling to get runs.

Wang at home
3-2 W
2-0 W
15-9 W
5-1 W
0-3 L

Little run support and little runs allowed outside of the rematch with Boston where he 2 hit them.

Yanks struggles vs LHSP are well documented and Perez was real solid vs them in 2007. Granted he has been much more imconsistent so far but all he needs to do is throw strikes...Technically he has been better away so far and the key has to be LHN are hitting 103 vs him and NYY top 4 of 5 and 5 of 7 are LHBs....

Kinda like the Under and sort of like NYY but dont want to the price since I feel this is a 1 run game probably..

Actually got nicer here weather wise in NYY so not sure I want to back and under....

Guess I am just kinda foggy still and cant make a good decision...

I guess its probably Under or pass ...

Guess I see the value in NYM +1.5 more then either ML play....Yanks now 3-15 with 8 or8.5 totals since 2006 ..home fav 150 to 175 30-15 Under in that span as well After a LOSS in 2008 18-4 UNDER and 8-3-1 UNDER vs LHP after yesterdays over vs Johan...

Wang for some reason is not as solid at night as he is in day & imo tough to 155+ with the lineup the Yanks are fielding right now. The under looks good.

thanks nut for the thoughts, i ended up taking under 8.5 and no run scored in first inning (-120)

was originally leaning yanks -1.5 but like you said hitting .200 against LHP just doenst cut it

game on soon fellas....

was waitin for ya though, as I know no one else on here knows the stankees inside and out like you do....

and if you wouldnt have came on i probably would have taken yanks -1.5 and the under.

so i think you might have saved me some money! we'll see. thanks for the thoughts either way

WOW!!!!

robbed of a HR.....that was a fair ball!
how can they overturn that when it was called fair originally, what evidence was their to oveturn?

under backers we just dodged a BULLET

should have been a 6 run innning for the mets, and one of wangs biggest blowups ever.
