royals under. play every royals under especially against lefty's. this team can't hit the back side of a fucking barn. 8 runs through 5 games is pathetic. joba should throw the heat by pathetic fucks that will swing at anything.

I'm on the royals - lol. Joba still has to show it to me before I would back him at this price. I'm expecting him to go 5 or 6 at best. He's going to have a ton of support for this one which should add to the pressure. I like Meche in this spot and think he can hold down this lineup which doesn't really scare me all that much.

Also, like the Cubs again. Don't expect brewers to do much at all with dempster. Fielder is the only one that scares me against tough right handed pitching which he showed today.

Also, like Santana cheap vs. the fish.

Leans to the Giants and the Blue Jays as well

Can anyone make a case for Young and the Pads against Timmy?

Jints 1st 5 and ML is gonna be hard to pass on..

Big bet on Baltimore OVER 9.. 14 MPH winds left and out with two guys coming off poor springs.. Baltimore is hitting the ball as well as anybody and both teams have gone to the pen for help past two this series.. 6 runs today and 18 LOB.. I think rays bats heat up against Eaton and they put up their share

timmy off 2 bad starts in a row. He wasn't good opening day and didn't look too sharp in his last spring start. Young was decent his first time out plus pads are at home, so yeah I can make a case for them. I do lean Giants though b/c timmy should right himself against the pad lineup. I don't mind the Giant bats as much as some people.

Timmy is something like 4-0 against the pads last 4.. 2 ER's in 28 innings.. Young 0-2 against Lincecum and 2-4 last 6 against Giants.. Seems like another King Felix line like today where we are getting the better hurler at a very nice price

Happy Easter everyone and while its a few days late Happy Passover as well..

have to admit even though it was only KC's lineup who has now looked poorly against Buerhle , Danks , Pettitte and CC it was great to watch CC tonight. Surely thats what he needed after the opener but again @ Balt it was simply command issues and not having his best stuff ...

I tend to believe that picthers who have a start under there belt have an advantage vs guys making their 1st start of the season . With that said the price with Joba is far from cheap with Meche opposing him . Trends clearly back the Yanks though 38-14 L52 game3s and 28-11L39 on Sunday which is a result of eachother since game3s are on sunday ..Meche is 0-7 as a home dog last 7 occurrences..and assuming they didnt count todays gameNYY is 55-17 L72 meetings ....

last 7 meetings in KC have gone UNDER since Elarton opposed Wang back in 07 .....

well its SUNDAY and it usually qualifies as one of the TREND"y" days of the season...

Under is 32-15-1 in TOR last 48 Sun. games.
Under is 42-11-4 in CLE last 57 Sun. games

-kinda a big game when you are 0-5 and facing the next 6 back on the road including a trip to NYY ..Reyes was damn solid as Injun last year and these 2 met last season in a 5-2 game . Purcey continued to show his progression in his 1st start as well ...hard to back Tor as well with Ryan being shaky at best ...

In the Motor City think Millwood is vs EJax is a tough one but if I have to say one it would be Texas . Hard to not like the under after each starters opening performance and past history as well ....

down in Florida hard to like an undisciplined FLA lineup vs Johan IMO ...Mets really swung well tonight and much better then even I had predicted ....maybe Mets ML and FLA +1.5 ??

in cincy Harang was not as good as expected in the opener but Pitts lineup is not NYMs and Snell was poor in his but solid for the most part vs CIncy last year ....interested in Cincy but not at this price but could look at -1.5 RL ....Pitt has been poor on sundays ..

Rays ML !!! - Orioles 12-40 last 52 sunday games and also not good in game 3s which we talked about when they played NYY last series....Rays avoiding the sweep ..Shields off a poor start ..vs Eaton back inthe AL.....SHields has been pretty filthy @ Camden especially for a visitor = 31 inn 26 h 8er last 4 starts..

Nats were fools gold after all like Tuck said ...hadthe 3-0 lead early but a poor 4th inning was the downfall....problem is Jurrjens has had some issues with Wash inthe past and no way I could see value in him or ATL...

Buerhle has been extremly good or poor vs Minnesota at home ...blackburn was very good in the playin game last year but hasnt had much success vs da WSox in the past .....Buerhle looks interesting to me......in the 4 good of the 6 home starts how bout 3er in 31.2 innings ! the 2 poor were OUCHES !

Lohse has a good track record vs a Houston team who is slumping offensively but Wandy despite some road issues has pitched well vsSTL last 5 -6 times ...also STL vs LHP still hasnt impressed me much ....

in colorado the rocks are 16-7 under last 23 sundays and didnt swing well vs Myers on saturday ....alsound 38-17 L55 game 3s.....rockies are 1-11 l12 with Gorman behind the dish but also the home team is 43-19 l62 with Gorman...Cook in a bounce back spot and one of the suprises for me this spring was how good Chan Ho Park looked....Under maybe Philly ?

beckett looked good and has been solid @ LAA in his 2 career starts while Mosely wasnt to bad in his 1st start ...36-17-5 to the UNDER for LAA on Sundays....maybe an under ???

in SDG just what Lincecum needs?

thats right the Cy Young went to the Podres last season because in :
43.1 innings 26hits 3 runs 19bb 49Ks......

Young is very solid at home smells like an UNDER to me...actually YOung opposed him twice last year and lost 7-0 and 1-0 but in 14 inn 9hits 4 runs and 19Ks...

In Oak we have Bedard who was screwed out of a win last time and has had some good outings in Oak as well vs Cahill ......Oak should have won today but shocked me blowing a 5-3 lead in the 8th ...SEA is 4-2 with 2 1 run losses think it may be a great spot to lay OAK -1.5 runs....

Just likeHaren to win the series after they were smoked today ...ZOna has given Wolf som etrouble lately who struggles on the road past few seasons and Haren is pretty tough at home IMO...

hard to fade a Sunday Night home pup and Suppan has been good home but tough to like Milw for any reason if Dempster follows up his last start....

just some thoughts

- agree that while Lincecum hasnt looked good its tough to pass him up vs SD. Much different for me then King Felix today who I thought could get hit where Timmy allowed just 3 runs in 42+ innings across 6 starts vs SDG last year and half finished as shutouts while SDG managed another 4 runs off relievers to bring the total to 7 runs in 6 games vs Timmy .....also 1st meeting Young was small chalk like -125 and my the 2ndmeeting later in the year Timmy was -110/-115 so think the line makes sense based on that since these 2 teams are essentially the same as the ones that met late last year....

- I would like the TB TT over better then the game over because I dont think Balt is really hitting that well . What has benefitted them IMO was facing Wang and CC who were mostly just off their game more then anything (look at what the lineup did after those 2 were pulled) and today again a bad 1st inning then run over the next 8 innings ..so a few big innings and little else ...dont think Balt is doing that much with the bats to be honest to hit Shields if he is in bounce back mode..

Likely be Jints 1st 5 for me when i get the option.. GL

as devils advocate why would Joba only go 5 or 6 and why would that matter with how good NYYs pen has pitched ? Granted whispers about Joba's velocity being down for a bit in ST had some eyebrows raised but he started touching mid 90s last two ...still teams struggled vs him offensively ...KC was his 1st start essentially if we forgot the Tor start where he was limitedto like50-60 pitches ...few of them saw him allow more then 2 runs and the only poor one was @ texas and landed him on the DL I believe.....

oh and the worst hitting team in baseball is missing its cleanup hitter as well ....not to mention the fact KC beaten us 17 of the past 72 meetings ....Meche is very solid and could stifle the Yanks bats but more then 3 runs is tough to expect from KC .....

Reds are a strong play. Debate is chiefly on ml, 1.5 or 2.5. You start by looking at what is important to Pitt. Supporting Duke and nailing Houston is important. Snell is a bad road pitcher who is also bad in the day. The Reds saved their good relief pitchers for this game. And so far they have had one good starting pitcher which has probably been noticed by them.

The Yankees may be marching. Today was very encouraging but I would say tomorrow should be a pass or KC. Meche has won 8 of his last 9 home games and the Yankees have not recently been good on the road on Sunday. Plus Joba is not a known entity. Yankees may be looking a little past this as Tampa probably is of interest.

agree tuck... played the under and considering KC as well.

Hoping to see the yanks rest 1-2 guys tomorrow too in the day game.

I think motivation is certainly on KC's side tomorrow, as they look to avoid the sweep and also pay meche back for the game farnsworth blew in his last outing...

May settle on KC +1.5, not sure yet.

Not one to go against the Yankees when they are starting to play well, different guys just keep stepping up, now its Swisher who is making a big claim for playing time. The last 2 days the bullpen has been sitting on their ass as well so even if Joba does go 5.2 or 6, Yanks have the arms to finish the game off.. Tex can play if he is going to bat lefty, his wrist is the problem, and it bothers him when he swings righty but since Meche is a RHP, Tex will be batting lefty all day so I expect him in the lineup. With that said, not a fan of the price on the Yanks.

I think Johan carves up the Marlins lineup, he is too smart of a pitcher to let this free-swinging team have their way. Under maybe here since Johnson appears to be coming out the game on fire.

Young is usually very solid at Petco but Lincecums numbers against SD are just flat out scary.

Shields is very good at home and has found his struggles to be on the road but he was also a very good day pitcher last yr, as well as pitching very well in Camden. Got to figure Rays can avoid the sweep here as well. Not too happy with the price of the RL though but Eaton is making his first major league start since July of 08'. I might do a Rays-1 line here.

Trevor Cahill really struggled with his control in his first start, walking 5 and striking out 1 over 5ip. Bedard threw just 85pitches in his last start, could see that number reaching 100 today. Bedard when healthy has great stuff and this A's lineup shouldn't put fear in anyone. Nice price on Bedard imo but Morrow probably won't be available in a close situation?

Papelbon won't be available today, he threw 40 pitches yesterday.
BJ Ryan probably won't be available, besides sucking, he threw about 30+ pitches.

Joba goes 6, pen blows it. Good performance by Meche outside of one inning where his D didn't help him much.

Meche was damn good for most of the game till the 7th when they started to hit some ropes off him . Thank Melky for that terrible DP he hit into to kill the rally . Thank Girardi for overmanaging that game into the loss column . For 6 innings Meche was better but Joba also got screwed on a much easier grounder thens Cano rocket ....all in all if Girardi wasnt fucking around they win ..if your making a move its not to Phil Coke in the b8th with 2 out we do still have that Rivera guy ....

clearly todays game is a perfect example of why its incredible hard to find value in road chalk when a team is going for a sweep and also hapened to have Damon , Posada and Tex on the bench ....

annoying as a fan to see that transpire

not sure how yanks fucked up that ground ball that went through 2 guys' legs. Not sure why they didn't just leave Marte in to face Butler. Marte can get righties out and Butler hasn't hit anything all season.
