Start ‘Em or Sit ‘Em

Appreciate the advice fellas. Robinson got the start yesterday and put up 30.60 for me, so I am guaranteed to lose this weeks matchup...

I'll start Conner as my other RB and debate my flex spot...either Darrell Henderson, D'ndre Swift or Robby Anderson. Probably stay away from Gore.

Also -- would you start Zuerline or Blankenship (Indianapolis Colts kicker) this week?

Thanks again eh

i lost Barkley and Bell.... which 2 RBs in PPR do you start?

Fournette @ DEN
Kelley v. CAR
Michel v. LV
McKinnon @NYG

I'd have Sony last. I'd probably go McKinnon and Fournette.

Not sure it's still relevant this year but Fournette went absolutely bananas last year against Denver behind that atrocious Jax o-line...29 carries 225 yards + 2 receptions for 20 yards

I’m rolling with Leonard and after that it’s a toss up between Kelley and McKinnon. Probably McKinnon as Jackson looks like he’ll be active for the Chargers and not sure if that changes the Ekeler/Kelley 1-2 punch into an Ekeler plus Kelley/Jackson dynamic. The kid is still a rookie after all and Lynn is, well, Lynn.

Arians doing Arian things again with his backfield

I tried to trade for Fourtnette last week , was offering Gurley...Was rejected, think I dodged a bullett there.

Will try to avoid this backfield at all cost

I'm trying to figure out what to do with my underperforming 1-2 team. 2RB/2WR/1 Flex I think I have super depth for a 12 team league but the high end production is lacking:

QB Brady - Yeah I waited on drafting a QB. Will always be a step below the mobile QBs in terms of ceiling, and his floor is a worry if either Godwin or Evans is out. Feel like I have 5-10 points to make up every week due to this position.

RB Jacobs - No issue with him except he gets vultured in red zone at times by the TEs
RB Taylor - One of my few picks that has outperformed his ADP, no issues with him in Rivers dump off offense
RB Mixon - I know he struggled early last year and shined late, but there was a QB change involved. What improves the situation this year? OL stinks. Seems very script dependent and don't see him getting many good ones. Kicking myself for taking him ahead of A Jones.
RB Murray and RB Kelley - 2nd bananas that are great handcuffs. I could play one in a pinch and it might work out 1 in 4 times.
RB Swift - one target last week. That dropped TD in week 1 seems to have sucked the faith out of the coaching staff.

WR DJ Moore - getting the air yards and targets but Anderson is legit and so that's a crowded situation with Teddy at the helm. Low upside WR1/2 guy.
WR Odell - Looks as good as ever but Stefanski is hell bent on this being a RB first offense and unlike in Minny he's got two legit RBs so he can go even heavier in that direction.
WR McLaurin - Love the kid and his explosiveness, love that he's a clear cut #1, but Haskins can only hit him half the time. I'm staying patient with him in this division though.
WR Fuller - Explosive potential as long as he's healthy. Ironically was the ONLY RB/WR on the squad to outperform his expected points last week. Now that the schedule softens I think he's the flex guy until he gets hurt.

TE Hurst - Running a lot of patterns but with no Julio he gets 1 ball last week? Luckily it was a red zone TD. Gotta stick with him I guess.
TE L Thomas - Was hoping he'd be a poor man's Waller. Getting looks but again Haskins is so off target. Alex Smith would do wonders for them, he's not ready? Kyle Allen? Maybe an upgrade. You're in the hunt Ron Rivera, play to win!

So we've got a guy in our league who's 2-1 rolling with Carson and T Cohen at RB. He's got Watson and Newton for QBs and Tyreek is one of his WRs. So I'm throwing what I think is a pretty good package out there:

Trade - Brady, Mixon, Moore
Get - Watson, Tyreek

Too much offered? I like that I'm getting the higher upside guys. Mixon loss cuts my depth bigly but I've also offered Odell to the David Montgomery owner who's been using Jonnu Smith in the flex and has Montgomery on the bench. So we'll see. If by some chance they both go through (which I doubt, bunch of engineers in the league, notoriously risk averse) the primary roster makeup would be:

QB - Watson
RB - Jacobs, Taylor, Montgomery + others
WR - Tyreek, McLaurin, Fuller + open roster spot (Crowder/Kirk/Tate/Jefferson available)
TE - Hurst, Thomas

I think that's a better team. Am I panicking too early?

I would think OBJ would get you Montgomery. Im not sure the other guy makes the Watson trade. I'm not sure Mixon ever gets it going like he did last year.

You have a solid core. Especially now that JT is doing what we all thought. Maybe offer OBJ in your Watson trade? Maybe a 'bigger' name besides Moore gets that done.

Maybe somebody else can chime in. I may not be the best person to ask. Because I too wait on qbs. I'm rolling with Goff and Tannehill in my 12 team league. You have the depth. Eventually that's gonna pay off. Especially this year.

Can't help much with your roster or trade, just not well versed enough in this area.

I have my own problems this week... Juju Smith-Schuster and James Conner have been the heart of my team, now both with this phantom bye week I had no preparation for.

Leaves me with the following choices for my 2 RBs, 2 WRs + 1 Flex in my 1 PPR league.

RBs:
Darrell Henderson
James Robinson
Frank Gore
Travis Homer (picked up off waivers this week)

WRs:
Stefon Diggs
Robby Anderson
Greg Ward (picked up off waivers this week)

My obvious choices are to roll with Henderson + Robinson as my RBs... I'll likely give Diggs the start as well, but then my other WR and flex positions are up in the air.

Was thinking of placing in Greg Ward as my other WR, and then deciding between Anderson, Gore and Homer in my flex (if Hyde is out I will go with Homer).

Any thoughts or suggestions? thanks in advance.

I think you'll have to roll with Ward in the flex and hope for the best. Agree with CPA-hole on the other spots. Ward was scooped up this week in both my leagues, so he seems to have some juice.

Well it looks like Adams is out even though he says he is fine.

so who do you play? I need 12 pts ppr for highest score of the week 150.00. Would have been a lay up.

My options Hardman KC or Harry NE

I'd take a chance that Hardman can score that on one play from Mahomes. Harry will be seeing throws from the worse QB on a team that will be looking to slow things down. He will need to catch 5 balls minimum to hit 12 points.

That is exactly what I am thinking. But don't you think NE will have to throw the entire 2nd half to play catch up

Based on what the books need for success (Patriots and under) I'm not going to assume KC blows them out early. And even if they do, Edelman and White would seem to be the top two targets.

Honestly both options are less than 50/50.

Lol, that's why i'm having a hard time but i'm going Hardman. Going to wait and see if Adams plays. It's not a forgone conclusion yet

That would be big for me if Adams plays. I'm down 34 with Adams/Julio going against Hurst/Crosby. I can pivot to MVS but then I'm know I'm done. If Adams plays I can at least pretend for a half that I might have a shot.

theres no news so i have to go with hardman. Cant risk it.

Kind of a bullshit way to operate a team. If the guys out hes out fine but dont say hes a gtd if you know he's out.

Wrestling with an OBJ choice myself, as I don't think his matchup is great vs Xavier Rhodes. Other options also have issues: McLaurin shadowed by Ramsey or Mixon against a tough Ravens squad.

Lot of uncertainty this week. Luckily I have depth to work with but the decisions are going to be difficult:

RB (need two)
Taylor is on bye
Jacobs may not have a full OL to help against a ferocious Tampa D that has shut down every RB since week 2
Mixon is on the injury report, may or may not play
Swift is coming off a breakout game against the worst run D in the AFC, now faces a better run D but one that does give up pass catches to backs. So he looks promising in a high totaled game.
Jackson is also on the injury report, off a bye no less, but now the Chargers play that same crappy Jax D where Swift went off.

May come down to using Swift and Jackson this with over my top 3 guys. Right now I'm ranking them Mixon/Swift/Jackson/Jacobs. Also have Kelley just in case Jackson would sit, he'd go right in.

Flex (need one) - add OBJ and DJ Moore to the above group. Both with OK matchups. Hate to not chase the upside with Jackson against the Jags, they have been total sieves.

Mixon out. Able to IR so grabbed Giovanni. Now sorting them Swift/Bernard...Jackson/Jacobs. Volume pass catching duo at the top.

Anyone think Jordan Reed will do much tonight? I've got Reed and Ebron as TE in 2 leagues, Ebron with the easier defense in Cowboys but more choice on offense for Pitt...thoughts?

Sorry for lack of definite answer but so, normally, I would think Reed would be riskier option because of how long he‘s been away from the offense (hasn‘t played since Week 3). But consider that 49ers miss Aiyuk and Deebo. They only have two available wide receivers, one of whom is questionable. Kittle is out and the offense runs through tight ends. So like how does the pass attack not at least in large part run through Reed tonight? If he‘s fit, i‘d think he‘s sure to get force-fed plenty targets

he came up pretty big last time niners were in a bad spot (not this bad), I think he always been a guy who produces when healthy and he no stranger to missing chunks of games and coming back. Tough call, normally those kind of things depend on what my team and opponent look like for the week, if I thought I needed a win at te I’d roll dice w Reed, if I’m favored and I just needed a safe 10 points (in ppr) I’d probably go Ebron. Steelers might not need to throw all that much so I dunno if he gets his touchdown but I’d feel pretty good he had 4-5 catches for 40-50.

Lindsey or Godwin for me? Honestly have no idea what to do with Godwin going forward.
