the mavs have struggled with turning the ball over... and the magic dont that many turnovers... but both both defense are playing like crap

Good point will look at GS ATS but the first quarter should be gold. They target 10 plus

Interest in Denver. Still looking. Denver is 6-4 ATS with all 3 refs.
Houston has not covered last 3 home games. Last 3 Houston games had two overtimes. Howard last game was 1 of 5. Asik real problems with management. Denver on mini-run with 3 AST covers.

I still can't believe how badly the Raps played yesterday. The over should have been "easy" money if they had played what i thought they would. Moving on.

Going back to the well again on that GSW 1st qtr too. Some interest in the ATL/NY over and the Pelicans. I think they get it done today, and by double digits.

Looking at Minn.
Killer sport trend goes Timber wolves are 10-0 ATS since Feb 22 2013 after a loss in which their DPS was positive. Both good b-b but Boston is 2-3 ATS after a loss while Minn is 2-1 ATS and I see Minn as a revenge driven team.
Boston all over the map in first quarter but at Miami b-b lost by 6.
Minn 5-1 ATS at home this season in first quarter at home. Playing this first quarter and put Minn in some 2 team parlay I think.

This season b-b Dallas has been a major under.
In their first game home Orlando allowed 36 points then 18 20 and 17.
How big would it be if Pekovic does not go?

That game haunts me. If you recall I posted Orlando first quarter and that was the only quarter they did not dominate.

3-2 yesterday. 8-5 overall

Bulls under 178

clippers under 203

Bucks plus 10 1/2

Celtics plus 9 1/2. And Under 202

  • Coach Brian Shaw is feeling optimistic as his Nuggets roll into Houston on a three-game winning streak, and he can see Wilson Chandler rounding into game shape after the 6-foot-8 forward sat out the first six games of this season with a hamstring issue. Shaw, however, said he is not quite ready to insert Chandler back into Denver’s starting five and relegate Jordan Hamilton to a reserve role. “[Chandler] will get a steady increase in minutes. Sometimes what happens is you come out and you’re so fresh that everything’s all right for you, and then you can kind of catch yourself going through a slump,” Shaw said. “I was pleasantly surprised … that he is as big and as versatile as he is. I’m just happy that he provides us with another weapon to throw at our opponents.”

  • Nuggets guard Ty Lawson is still feeling the effects of a corneal abrasion he suffered when Corey Brewer inadvertently poked him in his right eye during Friday’s win over Minnesota, but Lawson will play. Lawson may not need completely clear vision to continue his success against Houston, as the Denver floor general has averaged 20.8 points and 6.7 assists over his last six outings against the Rockets. In line with Lawson’s dominance, the Nuggets (4-4) have won seven straight over Houston. “All indications are he’s fine,” Shaw said. “He still has a little puffiness around his eyes.”
  • The Rockets’ Dwight Howard will have a head-to-head matchup against an undersized opponent for the second game in a row, as the 6-foot-10 center looks to establish himself in the post offensively against the Nuggets’ J.J. Hickson. After Howard took only five shots and was unexpectedly held in check by the offensive-minded Andrea Bargnani in Thursday’s win over the Knicks, coach Kevin McHale is looking for Howard to assert himself and demand more attention down low.
  • Houston reserve big man Greg Smith (sprained right knee) is expected to miss seven to 10 days after landing awkwardly in Thursday’s victory, which temporarily leaves McHale with only one option for a true backup center: Omer Asik. With Asik and McHale at odds over playing time — so much so that Asik has reportedly requested a trade — the Rockets (6-4) seem to have no choice but to rely heavily on small lineups that offer little protection on the interior. “O will not play tonight,” McHale said. “Our defensive field-goal percentage is very good … but I think we’re 25th or 26th in defensive rebounding. … All their guys [the Nuggets] are capable scorers … and they are very good at controlling you in the paint.”

  • Miami guard Mario Chalmers has been suspended for one game without pay for throwing a forearm and making contact with the head of Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki, it was announced today by Rod Thorn, President, Basketball Operations. The incident, for which Chalmers was assessed a Flagrant Foul 2 and ejected, occurred with 5:01 remaining in the fourth quarter of Miami’s 110-104 win over Dallas on Friday, Nov. 15, at AmericanAirlines Arena. Chalmers will serve his suspension tonight against Charlotte. “Obviously we’re disappointed and we’ll have to agree to disagree with that decision,” Miami coach Erik Spoelstra said. “Our focus will be on moving forward. Tonight we’ve got enough hybrid wings with ball handling ability that we’ll be able to get into our offense.”

  • Udonis Haslem (back) and Ray Allen (flu) will not play tonight for the Heat. Haslem made the trip to Charlotte, but will miss his fourth straight game. Allen, who has sat three consecutive games, didn’t travel to Charlotte for tonight’s game, but is feeling better and will be evaluated again Sunday. Spoelstra also added that center Greg Oden traveled with the team to Charlotte and may play tonight based on his pre-game workouts.

  • Charlotte will again be without Al Jefferson (bone bruise, right ankle) indicated Charlotte coach Steve Clifford. Jefferson has played in just of three of the team’s first nine games after injuring the ankle during the preseason. “It’s something he’s dealt with in the past,” said Clifford. “We just have to wait. Hopefully it will be soon.”

  • The Bobcats average 38 free-throw attempts in victories but just 15 attempts in their losses. Charlotte outscores opponent by six points per game at the foul line and get outscored by nine points per game at the 3-point line.

  • Backup center Kyle O’Quinn will not play for the Magic because of a sprained ankle.
  • Forward Solomon Jones, who has missed seven games since tearing the meniscus in his left knee, has been activated to take O’Quinn’s spot on the roster, and Jones did warm up.
  • Magic coach Jacque Vaughn said Jason Maxiel will start again at power forward after playing only 4:38 Wednesday night against Milwaukee.
  • Dallas has won seven straight in Orlando, last losing here on March 21, 2006.
  • This is the first of only two games in a nine-day stretch for the Magic. The only other span all season in which they will play only twice in nine days includes the All-Star break. Vaughn said his team will use the practice time to “get better at execution and add some things to our arsenal.”
  • Asked to comment on the inclusion of 35-year-old Shawn Marion on the All-Star ballot, Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle said: “In many ways, he’s one of the most underrated players that’s ever been in this game.”
  • Arron Afflalo is coming off a career-high 36-point game in the Magic’s win against Milwaukee. “He’s what we call a hot player. When you make eight threes in a game, you’re a hot player,” said Carlisle. “He’s turning into a star player here.”
  • MAVERICKS LINEUP: Marion, Dirk Nowitzki, Sam Dalembert, Monta Ellis, Jose Calderon.
  • MAGIC LINEUP: Maurice Harkless, Maxiel, Nik Vucevic, Afflalo, Jameer Nelson.

TV: League Pass

  • The Knicks have lost four straight home games and are 1-4 this season at Madison Square Garden after starting 10-0 at home last season.
  • The Knicks will start Raymond Felton, J.R. Smith, Iman Shumpert, Carmelo Anthony and Andrea Bargnani. Both Amar’e Stoudemire and Kenyon Martin are available off the bench.
  • Tyson Chandler (right leg) and Metta World Peace (sore left knee) are out for the Knicks.
  • Anthony leads the NBA in minutes played at 40.8 per game and is coming off a 45-point, 10-rebound performance in Thursday’s 109-106 loss to Houston. “I would love to shorten his minutes but right now we’re trying to get some chemistry in terms of getting better with this team,” Knicks coach Mike Woodson said.
  • The Hawks will start Jeff Teague, DeMarre Carroll, Paul Millsap, Kyle Korver and Al Horford.
  • Teague went for a career-best 33 points and 10 assists when Atlanta beat visiting Philadelphia 113-103 Friday night. “He’s become a pretty good player,” Woodson said of Teague. “We just gotta make sure that we get back and build a wall from a transition standpoint.”
  • Jared Cunningham and Lou Williams are inactive for Atlanta.

[h=2]CAVALIERS AT WIZARDS, 7 P.M. ET[/h] November 16, 2013 · 5:13PM
TV: League Pass

  • Dueling three-game losing streaks meet in Washington with Kyrie Irving and the Cavaliers attempting to end their skid on the road. Away from home is where the Cavs (3-7) have struggled most, losing all six games away from the Quicken Loans Arena — and by an average of 14.1 points. In the half-dozen road games, Irving averaged 17.7 points and 5.8 assists compared to 21.8 and 9.3 at home. As for the any positives, Cleveland swept the three-game series from Washington last season, has won two straight at the Verizon Center – and return center Andrew Bynum to the starting lineup. The seven-year veteran has played in six of 10 games this season while recovering from a knee injury that kept him sidelined last season.
  • The Cavaliers held a players-only meeting following a 29-point loss to Minnesota on Wednesday. According an ESPN.com report, the meeting became contentious. “They had a players meeting after the Minnesota game,” Cleveland coach Mike Brown confirmed but without delving into specifics. “It’s not usual, it happens. The guys care about winning…They care about trying to do it the right way. They wanted to talk amongst themselves, which is great. I’ll encourage that anytime.” Guard Dion Waiters (illness) did not play in Friday’s loss to Charlotte and didn’t make the trip to Washington. Asked if there was a connection between the meeting and Waiters absence, Brown said the second-year guard has “been to the doctors twice.”
  • Irving, the No. 1 overall selection in the 2011 NBA Draft, and John Wall, the first player picked in 2010, are expected to play in the same NBA game for the first time since April 25, 2012. Injuries kept the Wizards star out of the first two meetings versus Cleveland last season while Irving missed the third matchup. That’s not to say the dueling point guards are without physical issues now; Wall took an inadvertent blow to the eye in Wednesday’s loss at San Antonio while Irving deals with a minimally displaced right nasal fracture. Wall is averaging 17.0 points and 8.8 assists on the young season.
  • The Wizards selected Bradley Beal third overall in the 2012 NBA draft, one spot before the Cavaliers tabbed Waiters. Alas the wing guards will not square off. C.J. Miles started for the Cavs and scored eight points in Friday’s 86-80 home loss to Charlotte. Meanwhile the knockdown shooting Beal has been a bright spot for the 2-6 Wizards, averaging 21.2 points and 3.7 rebounds while sinking 47.2 percent of his 3-point attempts over his last six games.
  • Trevor Ariza, arguably Washington’s top frontcourt option this season, will miss Saturday’s game and perhaps a few more after suffering a strained right hamstring against the Spurs. Martell Webster, who made 62 starts for the Wizards last season, is expected to take over the small forward role. Even before Ariza went down, the Wizards were without other options at that position. Rookie Otto Porter (hip flexor) and Chris Singleton (foot) have not played this season.
Ben Standig

wow didnt know pierce and garnett are out too

TV: NBA TV

  • The much-anticipated reunion between Clippers coach Doc Rivers and his former players with the Celtics, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett of the Nets, will have to wait until another time as Pierce, Garnett and fellow starters Deron Williams and Brook Lopez will not play against the Clippers tonight because of injuries, coach Jason Kidd confirmed before the game. Williams sprained his left ankle with 7:26 left in the first quarter of Friday’s 100-98 overtime victory at Portland. Pierce won’t play because of groin soreness after playing 41 minutes against the Trailblazers. Lopez and Garnett injured their ankles in the fourth quarter Friday after colliding with each other, even though both stayed in the game. That leaves shooting guard Joe Johnson, who played 45 minutes and hit the game winner in overtime Friday, as Brooklyn’s only healthy starter. As a result of the injuries, the Nets recalled forward Tornike Shengelia from the Springfield Armor of NBA Development League.

  • The Nets will move Shaun Livingston into the starting lineup at point guard and Brooklyn fans can expect to see a lot more of Andray Blatche and Mason Plumlee on the front line. Livingston was taken fourth overall by the Clippers in 2004 and played three injury-filled seasons before the Clippers allowed him to depart via free agency.

TV: League Pass

  • Alec Burks, who debuted at the point for Utah in a 91-82 loss to San Antonio on Friday, will continue in that role, even though it strips the Jazz’s bench almost bare, when it comes to scoring punch. “With the frequency of games, it puts us in a tough bind,” Utah coach Tyrone Corbin said. “I told the guys, ‘It’s just where we are. We’re short-handed.’ We’re struggling a little bit to score, especially when we make subs. . . . We try as much as we can to rotate a little more, but we have to find some way and some time to get guys a break.”
  • Corbin said he will likely use an early hook on Gordon Hayward and Richard Jefferson — both of whom clocked 43 minutes last night — in an attempt to keep them fresh as long as possible. “We need them on the floor, for what they’re doing for us, but we understand they could be a little tired,” Corbin said.
  • Utah reserve forward Marvin Williams is a game-time decision after suffering a broken nose against the Spurs.
  • For the fifth time in as many home games, the Warriors will be coming off a night of rest while facing an opponent who is finishing up a back-to-back set. Not surprisingly, Golden State is 4-0 so far this season at Oracle Arena.
  • Of the three players dealt from Golden State to Utah this summer — part of the Warriors’ cost-cutting moves to create enough salary-cap room for free agent forward Andre Iguodala — only Jefferson (27.7 minutes per game, 10.6 points per game) is making an impact so far. Brandon Rush has made one appearance, and Andris Biedrins has yet to play.
  • Warriors coach Mark Jackson got off the pregame quip of the night when asked “what is the process” for guard Stephen Curry to earn the All-Star spot that has thus far escaped him. “Obviously, last year’s process didn’t work,” said Jackson, who complained vociferously about Curry’s omission
