Saratoga Race Course 2014

R2: 1,2,3,4 look to be the ones i'll be using in early pk4. #1A Chad 2yo 1sters in turf routes at Spa is a huge trainer angle and he's won with 4 of 6 2yo 1sters (with a 2nd) owned by Klaravich at current meet, #2 had some early trouble in debut, then was full of run late vs Strong Coffee who was most impressive 2yo winner on turf at meet in my eyes and will be running in With Anticipation on Thurs as well as Kasmarius and #4 exits that race, McPeek finally off duck..#4 just missed 2nd to Luck of The Kitten who won in Arlington last Saturday and in that race The Truth or Else ran 1ft less than winner but Luck of the Kitten 28 feet less, McPeek 6 for 22 27% $3.92 ROI 2yo off 31-60 layoff in Msw turf routes L5 years. #3 McLaughlin better w/ 1sters on turf at this meet than 1sters on dirt..McLaughlin 3 for 22 L5 yrs 2yo 1sters on turf but 2 of those wins at Spa (2 for 5) $13.16 ROI

Are you against #9 in 2nd race? Not sure I want to use or not, showed good energy finishing at much shorter but that was just 2 weeks ago and not usually a fan of quick turn arounds with the babies

R2: #9 will not be on any of my tickets, love Motion and he's having a great meet but can't ignore 0 for 27 L5 years w/ 2nd time starting 2yo's going sprint to turf route

Speaking of Motion

R5: #6 falls into a great trainer move, Motion with 1st turfer non 1sters and fact that she's coming off a dirt win and he's still moving her to turf, interesting..also 2 and 9 in there for me..#9 is off two tough trips and #2 lost ground while being wide in last at Kee having too much to do vs 1st and 2nd place finishers that had much easier trips.

Play, Best of luck to your buddy in race 3 with Hidden Vow. Think there should be plenty of early speed in here and sets up nicely for him. Blue Pigeon should be much better here than last, 2nd off the layoff and don't think he wants to be too close to the lead early like in last.

Epona Stables won a race this week, Island Candy on Weds..Bruce Brown is having a great meet..also had a great Bel spring meet

Race 4 #5 is a firster for McLaughlin and will be racing with the Godolphin blue instead of the Darley silks, nice work pattern and some glowing reports on some of the morning breezes in the clocker reports. #6 made a strong middle move in debut going 4 wide around the turn but held on well and should improve off that effort. #7 exits a very fast race from his debut and Assmussen 42% 2nd out 2yo MSW dirt sprints at the Spa. #8 Dutrow 44% last 5 years in 2nd out 2yo MSW dirt sprints and 4-5 at the Spa

R3: if i lose i hope it's #7 that beats me and its a positive that Sanctify moved up in class and ran such a good race and also a positive that Javy rides instead of #1, who i have mixed feelings about but thinking Hidden Vow must not be the same, back class but sat good trip in last and didn't fire..#6 steps up vs winners but ran well in last. My sleeper in the race is #2 (15-1 ML) who has back turf route races that fits w/ these and did not have clean trip in last running 41 ft further than winner. #10 figures but short price, outside post may have needed last off layoff but good trip.

#1 is the wild card in Race 3. Seems to be talented but you don't see too many 6 year old with just 6 starts, so obviously soundness issues. 2nd start off a year layoff, but will he be in a pace duel early on here?

R4: 7 and 8 like you said, both strong trainer angles and exit race that featured most impressive 2yo dirt winner at meet Competitive Edge, who will be running closing weekend in the Hopeful..I just don't wan't McLaughlin 2yo 1sters on dirt at this meet, pretty sure last win @ Spa 2yo dirt 1ster was Alpha..Zennor took $, open 6/5 last weekend and will be good but wasn't that day and ran w/ Godolphin blue also..#2 is the only 1ster i want and was against #6 who screams turf but in dirt debut took $ and made big pre move into hot pace and was green thru stretch..8/2 race could end up being biggest key 2yo race of meet, winner is a Motion horse w/ bright future, runner up Royal Son is a Pletcher horse that could even be better than Comp Edge when stretching out 3rd plc finisher (Evolution) is one to watch after nice debut for Mariena.

exactly, not sure what to make..Chad barn going good lately, could improve 2nd off layoff and ran 30 ft more than winner of last but Javy jumps off, i might too.

R6: 4,10,12 are my contenders

R7: 3 and 9, 9 is real crazy but i have some angles..will add more
R6: #4 is off layoff but everything Weaver runs is live, 1st (Spa winner) and 2nd (came back to win) place finishers of last would be odds on in here, so class drop..#12 has run some good races on Spa turf in career including last when had tough trip through stretch vs Storm who will be running in Baruch vs likes of Wise Dan on closing weekend..#10 is 2nd off layoff and is a player in here.

R7: #3 is a cutback going 7f, winner of last better than these..#9 is real crazy and maybe has no chance, cut back (good trainer move)/turf to dirt, 2 back closed to just get beat on speed favoring track, has a 2nd place finish in only Spa dirt try, which was also going 7F.

R8: 2,5,6,10 are my contenders, #2 returns to turf after two good dirt races, back class on turf (Kaigun, Hey Leroy), #5 last race is throw out race, dirt 1 3/4 now back to turf where mainly has been in routes but some decent turf form in shorter races (1 1/8, 1 1/16). pace wise #6 had no chance 2 and 3 back, #10 comes out of jump races but last two turf races fit here, including 7/4 at Belmont going 1 1/4 off layoff on yielding turf and having to close into slow pace and still recording a 92 Beyer, horse that finished 2nd to him in that race Red Vine (Clement) is likely better than these.

R10: 1,2,3 are the ones i'll be using in pk4's..#1 did all the dirty work battling on inside in last, has to deal w/ rail again but may stalk pace and get better trip..#2 is a dangerous cutback in here, #3 will be the value and is 3-2-1-0 going 7F when going 7F is a ? for some in here, last dirt (not synth) race just missed closing vs Bayern (ML fav Travers), should get good pace setup..against #8 who could get good setup again but perfect trip in last and no value today, against #7 stretching out facing other speeds.

i think i can make a case foe every horse in the Kings Bishop. Think we might see a speed duel between the #1,6 and 7. #2 and 8 seem like most logical winners but think #3 has a good shot as he just missed catching Bayern in Derby Trial although that was at a mile.

R11: 5 and 8. 8 the best cutting back in race when had no chance distance and bias (speed favoring) vs Antipathy and Stanwyck who ran in Fri's Personal Ensign, 2 back 1st w/ B's makes her a winner today.

R12: 2,6,7,10 are the players..#2 will be on my pk4's but actual 4th choice in here, i fear he steals it on front end so will use but question if he gets the 1 1/4 and past history says only 3 of last 25 Haskell winners have won Travers, compared to Dandy winners going 6 for last 12 and a 2nd last year w/ Will Take Charge..#10 Mr Speaker has a legit chance in here, usually i would hate this type of surface switch in a big race like this but..we know he can get 1 1/4, Bel Derby coming up key race, even though on turf, Shug loves way he's training on Spa dirt, I trust his word..he's not running just to have a Travers runner, has won this race 3 previous times and dirt breeding is there, 2nd dam is Personal Ensign.

R13: 1,4,9...#1 is 20-1 Ml and may have no chance but you really have to watch the replays of her two races, debut at CD circled field and looked good doing so while running green thru stretch and head strong, Asmussen rarely wins with 1sters going long on turf, so another sign that she may have ability and in last had a nightmare trip..#4 is 2nd off layoff after running 3rd in 1 3/16 key race, 1st/2nd plc came back to win, winner Crown Queen (Mott) is a monster..Trakus has Fizzy Pink running 9ft further than winner and only 1 of 2 that did run further than winner (3 wide turns)..#9 two back was off layoff and too short of distance w/ outside post, last was outside post vs repeat winner, 5th but ran 18 ft more than winner, when 2nd place finisher ran 32 feet less than winner, 3rd place 38 feet less than winner, 4th place 24 feet less than winner, even 6th place ran 4 feet less than winner.

R14: 5 the best also looking 3,9,10...#5 closed into slow key race in last, winner Storm (Baruch contender) had jump on Morning Calm who according to Trakus ran 35 more feet than winner in that race...#3 is 1st vs winners and did close into fast pace but looked good in doing so breaking from outside post and losing ground while being wide, steady in behind entering stretch, 2nd place finisher of that race ran 60 feet (10 lengths) LESS...#9 last was closer to pace than normal early and ran 61 feet more than winner, two back was 1 1/4 too far, #10 tough stretch run, steady late in last.

will have multiple tickets using A's stronger but rough draft stakes pk4:

R9: 3,4,7

R10: 1,2,3

R11: 5,8

R12: 2,6,7,10

My 1st Travers that I can remember being at:

[h=2]Mellon Turf Course[/h]One of many things to keep an eye on today is the Mellon (main) turf course. The temporary rails are down on the Mellon course for the first time since very early in the meet, and there is a chance that the inside paths that have been protected for so long might offer decidedly better footing.

#3 was flying late to just miss, fortunately for me unfortunately for Play. Definitely one to watch moving forward.

#3 ran a nice 2nd in debut in R2 and wouldve made for a nice score

R4:
Pk3 #2,6,7,8/2,6,9/4,10,12
DD #6/2,6,9

10 or 12 in R6 wouldve been huge for me, oh well..on to the next one

R7: Pk3 #3,6/2,5,9,10/3,7 and small win bet #9 and small exactas #3,6/9

Played 9 WPS myself, shouldn't be that high. Also like the 4 who just missed in last to well thought of La Madrina

your 4 has a chance, i just didnt like the fact the he ran w/ bias in last, closed on track that favored runners from off the pace and question 7F distance but could win

My main Race 9 Pick is very similar: 2,3,7/,1,2,3,8/2,8/2,6,10

Will have a smaller one including the Wicked Strong in the Travers.

i was live for Java Gold Travers, don't remeber it as well as Forty Niner but do remember i bet Cryptoclearance
