Pretty much a regular
SVP ( 5-2) had the best week, Bill Trocci, SVP, and Stanford Steve are all in a virtual tie for season winning percentage, but Trocci and SVP are trending up while Steve has cooled off after a good start.
Stanford Steve has shown he's a good handicapper, but I'm not even sure he's trying anymore. I can't think of any possible way--and neither can any other gambler I've talked to--it's possible to look at last week's slate and believe Rice was even a good bet, let alone the best bet of the week. Rice tries hard with what they have, but there is no one on the team or coaching staff who has ever covered a game as a favorite. The Sportsbook in Reno and the bookie I bet with both said they didn't take one bet on Rice
I have no idea what Steve was thinking because he refused to even discuss why he liked the pick when SVP asked him about it, but he's shown a visible lack of interest the last two weeks on his podcast and his many appearances on various shows across the ESPN networks. Maybe he's working too hard, but whatever it is he's been mailing it in the last two weeks.
Bear is struggling on his season record but doing an excellent job on his Bank Picks. One of the reasons is because UConn and UMass have not been playing so he hasn't been able to bet on the worst teams in football like he has in the past (although he said he was likely to bet UMass on his podcast).
Still one game to go for Cowherd. I'll update his results after the MNF game.
