Results for ESPN Handicappers--Week 10

TahoeLegend

Pretty much a regular
Stanford Steve was the only handicappers on the plus side. Trocci was 2-3. For everyone else it was a disaster. Phil Steele, Joey and Jesse lost them all, Bear won one season pick and lost all three bank picks, SVP and Colin won one. Steve has the season lead and is in the black. SVP is above .500 for the season, but only in the black by the narrowest of margins

Steele having a helluva year
I feel for the guy. I know the pain of making what seem to be brilliant picks when I make them and getting hammered week after week

It seems impossible anyone could do that poorly because random picks are almost always better than that, In the contest I'm in we put in random picks for a mythical contestant each week just to give pickers an idea if they are doing better than random

My Border Collies make the picks depending on which piece of kibble they pick up. They've never finished first, but they never have as bad a year as Phil is having and usually rank in the top half

This year they are 11th out of 21 pickers

It baffles everyone in the contest that random picks could consistently beat what are--at least in theory--informed picks, but they do it week after week
