Went ahead and locked a bunch of them in as soon as the lines went up at 5Dimes so might as well post up now, although I'll wait until Wednesday night to put up the rest (for those interested, WSH/ORL OV 193.5, BOS -8.5, CHA +7, LAC/SAC OV 212 and, as soon as the line's available, Memphis minus whatever at home against Cleveland). In any event, I'll be fading the Cavaliers the first little while (too many missing pieces due to injury like Kyrie Irving and Iman Shumpert and too much rust due to layoff with regards to Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson, which pretty much just leaves LeBron and nothing else). As for the Bulls, they're going to be a lot weaker defensively this season, but they should more than make up for it on the offensive end under Fred Hoiberg (based on the preseason, they are going to be jacking up A LOT of 3's). Not expecting a blowout, but if the Bulls offense runs the way it did during most of the preseason, this one shouldn't be close.

Thanks Paulie.

Was going to wait until after the Bulls game to post these, but I figured a) I already played them, so might as well but b) more importantly, I'm bound to have at least one person wonder where I managed to get such soft lines (see post #2), so rather than having to deal with that, here ya go... : )

Every line was there at 5dimes last night I know I seen them all and played the right two for Wednesday Boston -8.5 and the Over 193.5 which now is last I looked 202.5 and don't see anything other then a bad line was put up. Don't think anyone would question your integrity.

10/28/2015 10:35 PM NBA Basketball 728 Los Angeles Lakers* Over 102½ -110 vs Minnesota Timberwolves
*The Flip Saunders situation is what it is but, unfortunately, that doesn't really change how abysmal a defensive team the T-Wolves are. As I alluded to in my preseason thread, there's usually a pretty strong correlation between offensive/defensive ratings and pace (the faster you play, the more shots you're likely to take, the more points you're likely to score, and vice versa - pretty much just common sense). That brings us to the anomaly of Minnesota's preseason: through seven preseason games, the T-Wolves had the league's worst Defensive Rating at 107.2, yet played at the third slowest pace at 97.29. In other words, they weren't just sort of bad defensively, they were horrendous bad defensively. Plus, having had the opportunity to watch them live when they were here against Toronto, I feel pretty confident in saying there aren't exactly any Tony Allen's on that team... As for the Lakers, they were surprisingly efficient on offense during the preseason (103.0 OffRtg), and added some intriguing pieces with the additions of D'Angelo Russel, Roy Hibbert and (sort of) Julius Randle. Admittedly, it's going to be a bit of a gong show the first time Kobe, Nick Young and Lou Williams all take the floor together (if there were such a stat as "poor shot selection", the Lakers would win hands down), but don't think tonight should be too much of an issue.

As for the other games, I had promised myself to write a little something about every game this season, but considering the line moves in most of them, seems kind of pointless now.

Thanks JB - great to see you buddy. Yeah, I'm interested to see how I do as well (based on the first few nights, apparently not so good, LOL).

*Not really a prop player, but can't seem to nail down anything else to start the season. Plus, Dirk only played 20 minutes last night, and you know he's been waiting for this game, so hoping he goes off early.

Had a plan to start the season. Took a grand total of two nights to stray from that plan. Back to square one... For tonight, was inclined to take the Wiz team total, but they've been maddeningly inconsistent to start the season (only two games, I know, but when you watch them go through long spurts where they either can't score or can't miss, doesn't really instill an abundance of confidence). The Knicks, on the other hand, haven't gotten a thing out of their starting backcourt of Sasha Vujacic and Jose Calderon through two games, which should spell bad news at the elevated pace tonight's game is likely to be played at, as well as having to go up against John Wall and Bradley Beal. The Grizzlies have been a major disappointment on defense to this point, so who knows what tonight brings, but after getting embarassed by the Cavaliers on opening night, expecting them to come up with a way better effort in their 2nd game at FedEx. As for the Nets, offense was a no show last night against the Spurs, and needed 93 shots to get to 100 points on opening night against the Bulls - pretty sure they won't be getting much more than 80 shots off against Memphis, so not too worried about that. Plus, Brook Lopez has been the focal point of the offense the first two nights, so don't think he'll be anywhere near as effective going up against Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol.

10/31/2015 10:35 PM NBA Basketball 512 Los Angeles Clippers* Over 57½ -110 vs Sacramento Kings for 1st Half

*Be nice to actually see some intensity from the Grizzlies on the defensive end for a change (lazy ass motherfuckers)...
