This is going to be an exciting draft.

Anyone going?

So much intrigue to me personally as I have a team in the top 3 that has so many options and leverage.

The media starting to float the Cincy is toxic for Burrow rumors.

Where does Tua go?

How does Detroit mess up this great position they are in?

Anyways, combine starts this weekend so lets fire up some talk.
 
Lions need to draft Tua or trade down. There are no other options and anything else barring Chase Young being available would be grossly inept.

I put it at 50% Chase is available. And if not they will trade down IMO. The options are there. It's nice...now don't mess it up. We need Defensive talent. I'd rather get multiple picks ...fwiw

Young, okudah, simmons, brown, kinlaw

I'm hoping 1 is available at 12 still for raiders, and then take whichever WR hasnt been taken with and pick
 
So the combine is in prime time now?

Peter king and a few other writers complained cause indy would be where they all go get drunk at night while the teams are doing interviews, now they cant

Or just take Tua.
 
I know this. They just interviewed the top RBs in the draft and no CEH.

whoever gets this kid is getting an absolute DAWG

His story is one of the greatest. Just a class kid. His Father being in jail and his StepFather raising him, hence why he is one of the only males I approve of hyphenating his last name. The 2 men watched him in the stands together.

Trade down.

With that being said....

I'm fine with CY, Simmons and Okudah.

You need to get value for the Tua bidding war.

I don't need Tua tbh...love the kid... but they need to build some defense. Matty is fine if they ever get a competent defense (had one in 2014 but NFL refs fucked them in Dallas).

Simmons looks like just an absolute stud

I know no chance he drops to 12, but I want him so bad

If you guys dont trade I'm guessing okudah, especially since slay seems to be gonzo

Simmons is cant miss I believe
He was everywhere in the Natty
 
He's a nice player but probably not mid first round pick guy. Simmons could go top 10 and I don't know where he plays day 1. OLB?
 
I like reading Hayden Winks now of Yahoo, formerly of Rotoworld. He has some really good stuff on the draft.

"Tweeners" are hard fits in the pros. Guys who can fit between positions in CFB are far from can't misses in the pros.

As a Jets fan every time I hear the name Vernon Gholston and how he could play DL or LB...I think of his career 42 tackles (combined solo/assisted) over 45 games or in other words...HIS ENTIRE CAREER...and I want to punch myself in the face and break out into vicious hives.
 
I see simmons as a guy like minkah or derwin

Same playmaking ability, can be elite in the box and potentially rushing the qb, dropping deep as a safety, or covering the te or backs

No chance we get him but I'd love him as a raider
 
The Jags, so famous for drafting big busts in the first round, also selected a 'tweener' that was an epic failure from the start. Matt Jones out of Arkansas. But i'm reading back in the past...not sure if his demise wasn't more a product of drugs, lack of effort, etc.
 
Tweeners and longevity is the real question. Like the Jesuit boy that went to LSU And now plays for Flacons.....Simmons is a obviously a step up tho

Matt Jones! He was skiing the slopes, in a non-winter state.
