NFC Wildcard Discussion Thread

Mitchell if I had to guess is the 9ers goal line guy. CMC hasn’t been great in goal line situations (bad playcalling more so) and Mitchell in this spell roll has a ton of burst. I think there’s only value in him with the anytime score.

Flipping $50 on CMC to score on DK just because it's +100

Certainly not a gimme but there's value at that price

Serious question - how is Seattle going to score more than let's say 13?
They Watch Film Of The Raiders/niner Game. See What The Raider Game Plan Was And Go From There.

500 F'n Yards They Put On The nuners With A Back Up QB.

Do you they have a backup QB with zero film to toss out there? That was an anomaly. SF has one weakness….. deep passes. It seems to me if the weather does anything it minimizes the one threat Seattle has to depend on. As a Geno Smith owner in fantasy its clear the Geno from weeks 1-8 left the building a long time ago.

Kenneth Walker The Third. OVER 57+ Rushing Yards -114
Would be fun to root for but dont go to the restroom. You may miss the play that makes it happen. Big play dependent. Those -1, 0 and 1 yard carries dont exactly pile up the stats.

If Your "D" Is SUPPOSED To Be The Best?!

3 Raiders Rushed For A Combined 135 Rushing Yards

Addams 155 Yards Waller 72 Moreay 55...

You Don't Need Film To Cover A WR Do You?

Walker has 3 straight 100 yards rushing games. 57 sounds like a low number. I can see value there. He will get the majority of His yards on 3 carries though. Thats all Im saying. Im more about stats (large samples) than emotions (1 game) when capping/forecasting future results.

A fresh and healthy Mitchell will likely under produce. If he had a vet like Jimmy handing him the ball he would hit the hole harder. Hes not a fan of rookie QBs handing him the ball against the vaunted the Sea chicken defense.

Something to consider with totals in games you think will be close that I was discussing with a friend earlier. Both teams get the ball now. You could have 14+ extra points over the regulation total conceivably. Just something to keep in mind especially for under players

Are we cryptically discussing new Overtime playoff rules? I wasn’t aware they changed them.

I understand Niner backers being leary of laying the points, but I took Seattle and I'm probably more worried.

There are 3 circumstances (below) to this game that I'm banking on. Just need 2 of the 3 and I think it hits. It's, dare I say...a gamble.

1) Purdy's first playoff start, 2nd time against Seattle. I think everyone is waiting for that inevitable rookie performance. Hoping for it in this spot.

2) The weather. It seems like what I've read in here so far aligns with my thinking: It's a neutralizer...always has been. Niners faithful have been proud of their natural grass surface...well, that could get sloppy.

3) Divisional opponents. As they say, it's hard to beat the same team 3 times in a season. Pete came up huge in a spot like this before (granted it was at home (Beast Quake)) and he's no dummy. He might not have all the horses that SF has, but I expect a solid game plan...

Honorable mention:

DK been inconsistent as heck this season. I see Seattle getting him involved early with Lockett doing what he does. Use the threat of those receivers to eventually set up the run. Let Bosa and crew pin their ears back and run right by 'em.

We'll see... *shrugs*

So far it's 2 of 3...obviously, circumstance #2 is nonexistent, but I'll take this if it plays out the same in the 2nd half.

Yeah the 9ers D took the first half
Off. The Seahawks just did what they do.
Rookie QB Mr Irrelevant didnt check the mail this week. No one told him he was suppose to choke.

Have loved Dallas all week but my number 1 rule in playoffs is don't fade Tom Brady. This isn't some urban legend shit either. He been doing it for 20 fucking years. Torn here. Thoughts?

Honestly no fucking clue. But I hate the Cowbitches so rooting for TB all day. No clue what to expect. Tampa’s offense has been pitiful all year. Dallas could wipe em out or lose a close one.

It's a bitch of a game but will probably go with my gut which is Cowboys ML..might be a bad thing anyways, most of my pre game bets suck this weekend.

Love TB12, but have to go off body of work this season and that screams Dallas. Seems like there have been plenty of spots for TB to show up this season and they never did. Don’t see them flipping the switch now. Of course, nobody will be shocked if Tom plays great and Dallas chokes b/c that’s what we are used to seeing…

Yea I gotta eat crow on the G-Mwn as well. What the fuck Vikes?! They’ve been going life and death with teams so shouldn’t be shocked. That -3 sitting all week was a real tell
