Basically lumping two plays I really like straight for a 2 unit tease.

Thanks. My local has ML's up for most games they would post them on. They don't give up ML's on the huge spreads though.

BAR and Gridiron...Thank you gentlemen...Looking to have a very sexy time in two weeks!!
 
I like your straight wagers, Reno lost a bunch of guys and had a great covers in their bowl game against the "U".
Do you really trust Vegas in your parlay, the WAC is getting stronger every year while the mountain west is doing the opposite.
The Texas line is going to go up 5 pts by game time
 
Wager...yeah...I still think UNLV can get it done. There are various trends to support either side:

UNLV Pros
UtahSt lost 9 straight season openers
No RB depth for UtahSt

UNLV Cons
UtahSt seems to OWN them 1-9 in last ten...last win '94
only return 6 starters on D after a 2-10 season
They blow

So, I guess I'm not building a very good case for UNLV, but they are a CTG favorite in wk 1. The parlay is for shits and giggles anyway...I would love for it to hit, but the straights are where its at...

I'll take my chances on this...really think LSU comes out with something to prove. 1-2 TD's early will set the tone for this game!

Straight wager wise, I think you will be good with Texas, Nebraska, Zona, Over Missouri. That LSU 1q play is def interesting. You love them parlays!!! lol but nah they look nice.. I'm ready for your thoughts on Sundays as well bud!
 
So...I'm sitting here at work, don't feel like taking any calls...and reading through the college forums. Like what I have, but want more...reached my "limit" w/ the local thanks to all the season win props for MLB and Player props for NFL and extensive NCAAF card, but I still have $23 to go and you know what that means!!! Its parlay/teaser time!!! I had to add one more teaser for shits and giggles.

Right there with ya ETG, I had $17 left so i threw $2 on a parlay to win $1500... By the way I have a situation that could arise tonight:

Have a ML Parlay, ULM and Zona. Pays 7:1

"IF" ULM wins tonight, should I hedge my bet and take the BYU ML on saturday to middle the profit evenly (say to win 2 units no matter the outcome), should I only lay enough on BYU to break even if BYU wins, or just take my chance and let the 7:1 take its course? I am leaning towards middling it and takin' my guarateed $$$ (obviously the smartest thing to do). How does the forum handle these situations?
 
I would say it depends on the size of your play Pokey...I usually don't hedge 2 gamers. The problem you have is that your juice on the BYU ML is pretty large. I show it at -185 right now. If you buy out then you have to put up 4.62 units just to win 2.5. That should net you 2.5 units if AZ wins and 1.5 if BYU wins. To me that doesn't seem worth it. I usually only hedge 4-6 team parlays.

I appreciate the insight Big, I guess another factor would be how tonight goes. If it goes well, I probably wont touch it, if it goes sour, I may have to hedge it just to guarantee that extra $$$ to bet on FSU with come Monday. (Prayin Dr. Bob doesnt drive that line up anymore.) But its gonna be a long weekend, I think I have bet on games totaling in the lower 20's so there will be plenty of opportunities to start this season off right...

Broke the record down into Sides, Parlays/Teasers, and "System" plays. Basically everything wound up being a wash tonight. Liked my late addition at half too...didn't get to watch the game, so if anyone has comments on KentSt/IowaSt, I'd appreciate them. LSU sure looked good against MSU!!

Everything updated through FSU tonight. Since I didn't get to watch much of the game, IMO I guess the only thing I liked in that game is that Clemson didn't put up any points in the 2nd half.
