Gilbert Arenas was not cleared to play last night. Initially, a blood vessel ruptured in his vagina over not playing, because he -really- thought he was going to play. He even stormed out with the intention of taking his bat & ball and going home, but he eventually chose to be somewhat adult about it, and he was there for the game last night

He still might come back this year, but I wouldn't hold my breath - hell, I thought I remembered them having cleared him weeks ago. Silly me.
 
Nick Young missed yesterday's game with a a bruised thigh. That makes two in a row. With Butler back, perhaps the team doesn't miss him much.
 
Mickael Pietrus sat out yesterday's win over the Lakers. He has a sore pussy. Since there are innumerable quick, tall, and thin guys who shoot the 3 on GSW, it's not like this is a problem for them.
 
Nate Robinson & Quentin Richardson are both going to miss monday's game against the Nets, though the Knicks aren't saying much about Nate. Supposedly, Zach Randolph will be playing again.

They didn't this weekend, blown out by lottery bottom-feeders Memphis and Minnesota to fall to 19-50 with Randolph Morris as starting center and Zach Randolph receiving two straight DNPs. The Knicks appear on a mission to try to fall into the second seed in the lottery to give them better odds of landing the draft's two studs, freshman forward Michael Beasley and point guard Derrick Rose.

Talk of the NYK tanking is greatly exaggerated IMO . I think basically there evaluating there roster and playing minus there big name players. Tanking to me means lack of effort and I dont see that.

What I see is a bad team who doesnt get treated like a bad team. Is there current roster that much different then LAC , Seattle's or Miami's? You never see NYK catching 14,15 points let alone 17, 18 or 20. Hell they are even still PKs in some games. They trailed to Memphis by 19 at half and by late in the third quarter had tied it. Why would a tanking team expend the effort to make up a 20 pt defecit if it didnt care? They then had to go to play Minnesota the following night so why cant we simply say a bad team was in bad spot with no energy left ? Not to mentioned litterd with youngsters who tend to not travel well.

I mean no one sayz NJ has tanked and they lost 10 straight away with the last one being the ONLY one by less then 10 points. In fact thye lost @ Memphis.

Against ATL they trailed by 2 buckets at half and managed to take a lead for a small time in the 3rd so the game was again competitive with another solid 3rd Q effort. They took Port to OT before that . Before that they lost to Det by 4 at home.

They try but they just arent very good. Wilson Chandler has some shown some good flashes while Randolph Morris has not. Balkman and Jefferies play sound defense but lose minutes because they are terrible on offense and along with Morris cant even convert FTs.

Fours starters have been OUT Curry , Q , Randolph and of course Marbury. Now take emerging Nate Robinson out and put back Randolph.


NJ always played well vs NYK because Kidd seemed to destroy them but he is gone.....

basically my point is NYK is no different then say the LAC and yet they never see huge lines. Past 10 games they have only twice been 10+ dogs...The most winnable game they had was @ Miami and they won...

Thanks bro...and fellow NYer ! Also NYK has won all 3 meetings this year . Does that give the Nets the edge ?? However winning is not enough to cover the spread alone. Does it give NY and edge as some sort of glimmer of success to revel in beating there rival who owned them for the Kidd ERA a season sweep??

Sport it looks like the Knicks really are in serious tank mode...I thought they would come out tonight and at least try but they look aweful.....Is it time to fade them the rest of the year?????????
