NBA Finals Discussion thread

And again, I do believe in GSW. I can easily see them even win this one in 5 games, unless both Bron gets his shot back and Kyrie can play at least on the level he played in Game 4 in ECF. Just don't want to back them due to reasons I mentioned + I really hope Blatt can win the title.

Home team has had success this postseason under these refs, not concerned at all.

The difference in this series will be David blatt. A master mind.

yes i know... sorry i just pasted that in a rush

These refs should not sway off any warriors backers... hoping the line goes to 5

Leaning 1q UNDER or Cavs 1q TT under

The long rest, in addition to early game jitters should make both these teams start out unsettled and i think we will see some mental errors

I took Game 1 under 203.5 and a prop on Cleveland averaging under 100 points a game for the series.

Got Golden State to win the series as well as Golden State -1.5 games.

Why would it?

GSW should wrap it up in 5, like I said, but I can see Cleveland make it a series, maybe even shock everyone and win it.

I would be rooting for them for sure, but it doesn't look good...

Divol,
What does David blatt need to do to give LeBron and the Cavs a chance'?

I am a bit shocked by all these props that 5dimes has available

kyrie's turnovers is o/u 2
lebrons's turnover is o/u 4

lebron's total series points is 181.5 :O

I believe that if GSW play their regular level, there is nothing Blatt or Bron can do.
If they will play below their level, I believe that Bron's and Blatt's experience will help them exploit it.
To what level, that's anyone's guess.

Did someone say that the cavs suck at forcing turnovers?

Opposing TO ratio is 11.8% this postseason by the Cavs, only Portland was lower this postseason and the Trailblazers were also the worst in the regular season.

Golden State has the worst TO ratio this postseason at 15.7% (Memphis killed them).

Cavs this postseason have 161 TO's while their opponents have committed 143 (-18 net)

Warrios this postseason have 221 TO's while their opponents have committed 205 (-16 net)

AK... you see the props on 5Dimes?

Quite a few of them.

One that is worth a shot is MVP from losing team...pays +4000 I believe. Could see Warriors win it but LeBron puts up a Jordan like performance that they give it to him though think it's only happened once in NBA history (and was the first time they gave the award...Jerry West 1969).

Lean over on LeBron fouls, 8 of his 14 have been over 2.5.

ooo interesting

dont like anything for tonights game?

Took under 203.5, think Cavs make these games a grind. Golden State played slower in postseason as is and I believe are 0-7-1 to the under at home this postseason 3-11-1 overall (I'm counting game 1 vs Pelicans as a push ).

Mozgov over 9 points seems kind of easy, no? I see 9, 9, 10, 23, 10 and 14 the past two seasons against the Warriors.

I dont think Tristan Thompson will be as effective as he was vs Atlanta. This is not the same level of competition and I do not think he is ready for it... atlanta made him look like an all star with the way they played him

These Finals are a tribute to Stan Van Gundy, he was ahead of the curve in playing a 3 and D style.

Hard to believe the Lakers in 82 won the Title and only made two 3's all postseason...hell only 13 all season.

I'm liking the Warriors less and less the more I actually think about tonight's game. I just don't know how the Warriors are going to perform in this situation

I'm liking the Warriors less and less the more I actually think about tonight's game. I just don't know how the Warriors are going to perform in this situation

What situation ?

Cavs outside of LeBron are basically losing mentality players, how the Cleveland role-players handle the 'situation' is just as significant.

Taking the 'better' team in Game 1 of the big dance and the series for the most part is one of the most solid postseason betting situations ever. Numbers don't lie on this stage.

Only thing I'm ever so-slightly concerned about is the vast array of internet mushes on the Dubs.

Aside from Stern's 'prophecy', jumping ship from one team to another to win another 'ship because your former team wasn't 'young/good enough' is such a shitty look.

Dubs winning the Finals keeps it fresh and somewhat pure. Silver strikes me as being a lot smarter than his predecessor.

The situation of being first timers in the finals. The Warriors cannot hold leads. I still don't think they've shown they are capable of winning close games versus capable offenses. They won't want to be up against Lebron with two minutes to go and it being a 3-5 point game. That's what I'm afraid of.

I did take largest lead over 15.5.... Only because it's juiced at +110

Warriors 11-0 SU (7-4 ATS) this postseason vs the pregame line when establishing a lead of 10 or more (72-5 SU, 52-24-1 ATS on the whole season).

Not too bad.

Cavs roster littered with 'first-timers' as well. Again, this is LeBron's 2nd worst supporting cast in his playoff career. East is brutal this season.

The cavs lineup has a lot more finals experience and Lebron trumps anything the Warriors have. You can't seriously think the cavs will have more nerves than the Warriors. At least to start the game. Klay even said last game that he was really nervous. Just imagine today. And nervous shooting teams can present a problem

58% on the cavs

LeBron is the only person in the line-up with legitimate Finals experience. Miller, Jones lol.

Good luck trying to read the psyche of a professional athlete especially an NBA athlete.

Sure the Cavs could win on the back of the best player in the world but I doubt it's because the Dubs were shitting themselves with nervousness.

The best team virtually always wins the final dance in this league, numbers speak the truth. Over-analysis is lethal.

For a 'young and inexperienced' team like the Dubs to maintain such dominance as they did this season and get to this point speaks massively about their mental fortitude.

If you can't attempt to read the mind of the athlete you shouldn't betting on sports. That's half the battle. That's what situational handicapping is all about.

no play on the Warriors pregame.. will look to take the warriors live around the end of the first

Finals Game 1:

1Q Under 51 even
Largest Lead OVER 15.5 +110
Full game UNDER 203.5 -110

Situational capping is not about predicting nerves in a big game. There will be a degree of nervousness in every player that takes the floor.

Players, all but LeBron (and Bogut) look really nervous. Kyrie missed three pointer by a mile...
