[h=2]PACERS AT CAVALIERS, 7 P.M. ET[/h] March 18, 2013 · 5:44PM
TV: League Pass

  • Pacers power forward David West (lower back sprain) will not play after his back flared up during Indiana’s plane flight from Philadelphia to Cleveland on Saturday night. Coach Frank Vogel said West is “day to day. He could play tomorrow (against Orlando), but his back is pretty sore, so we’ll see.” West has appeared in 65 of the Pacers’ first 66 games, averaging 17.3 points and 7.7 rebounds. Tyler Hansbrough starts in his place, while Jeff Pendergraph will be the backup power forward.
  • Vogel announced another change in Indiana’s rotation as Gerald Green replaces Sam Young at backup small forward. Green has logged a “Did Not Play – Coach’s Decision” in each of the last three contests, but the third-year coach said it was time to give him another opportunity. Over the last four games, Young has averaged 2.5 points and 1.8 rebounds in 10.3 minutes off the bench.
  • The Pacers’ starters are center Roy Hibbert, Hansbrough, small forward Paul George, shooting guard Lance Stephenson, and point guard George Hill. Central Division leader Indiana owns the second-best record in the Eastern Conference at 40-26, one game in front of New York. “We’re in a playoff race, every game is important for us,” Vogel said.
  • Pacers small forward Danny Granger (left knee soreness) has resumed physical activity and will work out individually for the rest of this week. Granger has been limited to five games this season because of ongoing pain in his knee. “We’ll find out how Danny is doing at the end of the week, then go from there,” Vogel said.
  • Cavaliers power forward Luke Walton (nose fracture) suffered a broken nose Saturday during Cleveland’s 119-113 loss in San Antonio, but is active. X-rays revealed a non-displaced fracture that will force him to wear a protective facemask for the remainder of the season.
  • The Cavaliers’ lineup is point guard Shaun Livingston, shooting guard Dion Waiters, small forward Alonzo Gee, power forward Tristan Thompson, and center Tyler Zeller.
  • Indiana and Cleveland are both riding two-game losing streaks, but the Pacers have won four straight over the Cavaliers.

Wow -- NO +3.5 at home against a GS team in a huge sandwich? Power ratings don't even come close to justifying this line even before the situation is factored in.

FoR Golden State playing at Spurs is NOT ALOOK AHEAD.

Parlayed GS and Utah ML
Parlayed Memphis totsl under with Utah ML to get a 185 totall. Tired but noticed King Creole and Mellow Wolf but liked the under and the databank certainly does.
A little more on GS. This team was blazing until they hit that deadly 4 game series that started at Houston on 2 days rest then OKC b-b then Memphis and then B-b at Dallas and they lost all faith in themselves. See winning at Houston a major inspirational event. As for the parlay a better question is why in this spot the rest of you do not adjust your sides and totals.

[h=2]WIZARDS AT BOBCATS, 7 P.M. ET[/h] March 18, 2013 · 6:16PM
TV: League Pass

  • Wizards guard John Wall was named Eastern Conference player of the week by the NBA. He is the first Washington player since March of 2008 to pick up the accolade when Antawn Jamison was so honored. Wall averaged 24.0 points, 11.3 assists, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists while the Wizards went 3-1. The Wizards are 18-14 with Wall in the lineup and 5-28 with him out of the lineup.

  • Jannero Pargo scored 18 points to lead the Bobcats in scoring and added four assists in his second game of a 10-day contract. Charlotte coach Mike Dunlap likes Pargo’s wisdom and said he’s “a quick study” and plays with a “sense of desperation” which adds to his effectiveness.

  • Martell Webster has played well for the Wizards during their recent stretch of games. The Washington swingman is averaging 21.8 points in the last five games and 5.0 makes from behind the arc.

  • Charlotte leads the season series 2-1, but have dropped 12 of their last 13 while the Wizards have won three straight and four of their last five games.

  • Bobcats starters: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Josh McRoberts, Bismack Biyombo, Gerald Henderson, Kemba Walker. Bobcat Injuries: DeSagana Diop (Out/right knee soreness), Ramon Session (Out/MCL sprain, left knee).

  • Wizards starters: Martell Webster, Nene, Emeka Okafor, Garrett Temple, John Wall. Wizards Injuries: Leandro Barbosa (Out/torn left ACL), A.J. Price (Out/sore right groin).

[h=2]TRAIL BLAZERS AT 76ERS, 7 P.M. ET[/h] March 18, 2013 · 6:23PM
TV: League Pass

  • In his last two games against the 76ers, Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge has averaged 20.5 points, six rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.50 steals and 2.50 blocked shots.
  • Trail Blazers forward J.J. Hickson is eighth in the NBA in rebounds per game (10.7), tied for third in double-doubles (37) and ninth in the league in offensive rebounds (226).
  • Damian Lillard is already third on Portland’s all-time rookie scoring list.
  • Portland is looking to win four straight games over the Sixers for the first time since a five-game streak from Jan. 5, 1992-April 1, 1994.
  • The Sixers have won two of their last three games after losing 12 of the previous 13.
  • The Sixers are 0-16 when the opponent shoots 50 percent or better and 30 in a row when that occurs dating to the 2010-11 season.
  • Guard Evan Turner is the only Sixer to have started every game this season.

C's w/out Garnett tonight. Fact is that it's Miami's world. The C's don't match up with Miami. I just don't see the value and getting in Miami's way right now.

A game not to be f**ked with, IMO. C's will bring it, no doubt but Smh is spot on with it being Miami's world right now. Like stepping in front of a freight train at full speed. Boston may stop it but I wouldn't take them at anything under 8.5...

[h=2]NETS AT PISTONS, 7:30 P.M.[/h] March 18, 2013 · 6:47PM
TV: League Pass

  • Pistons coach Lawrence Frank has returned after missing the last six games to be with his ailing wife, who underwent surgery for an undisclosed condition in New Jersey. “It wasn’t an easy situation,” Frank said. “We have a great organization and they told me to take as much time as needed but at some point, you feel like you have to get back to work and pray the other stuff takes care of itself.”
  • Detroit will be without guard Brandon Knight (left ankle sprain) for the third straight game. Rodney Stuckey will start once again.
  • Frank had strong words regarding the dunk by Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan over Knight eight days ago, which was replayed countless times on highlight shows and subjected Knight to ridicule for being posterized. “I just don’t understand. That’s what we’re glamorizing, the dunk?” he said. “Brandon had the courage to put himself up there. Too many guys are game quitters. They’re in the game but they’re not in the game, so they back out just because they don’t want to be dunked on.”
  • Nets guard Keith Bogans is out with a sore left ankle.
  • Coach P.J. Carlesimo was very disappointed that his team allowed Atlanta to shoot 52.4 percent in a 105-93 Brooklyn loss Sunday. “To get to the playoffs, to win in the playoffs, we’ve got to develop a much better level of consistency,” he said.

Washington is 12-0 to Under last 12 away, 21-1 to Under last 22 away.

But there is a fly in the ointment for any lovers of this streak. Charshit. We all know the Bobcrap get butchered by decent teams almost everythime they play them, and it's no different when they play at home. But it would seem their compensation for being regularly humiliated in front of those dwindling numbers who'll part with hard cold cash to see them, is to amend matters when weaker teams come a visting their homestead. To wit -

Charshit at home vs teams over .500: 13-8 to Under, averaging 92.85 team pts/game
Charshit at home vs teams under .500: 9-2 to Over, averaging 100.09 team pts/game.

It's true that 1 of those 2 Unders vs sub-.500 teams was a 168 pt game with Washington but that was on Nov. 13th; Washington's season stats leading into that game read 0-5 SU, average of 88.00 team pts/game. The stats for Washington's 5 lead-in games to this contest read 4-1 SU, 104.60 team pts/game.

Solid work As usual BC. Love it when you post these trends. Only wish I bet it bigger. Keep up the good work man.

How do you know? You're simply stating a belief, not a fact

obviously I am stating an opinion, BC.... I'm just saying that Boston's effort is NOT going to be at the same level that it was playing the bobcats. If you try harder at something don't you expect better results? If I knew the facts, i would be a millionaire

Just saw this reply (never saw it before I went offsite last night). This response indicates you thought I was saying something I wasn't. Whether a team comes off offensively has no definitive correlation to the effort they put forth. To take the 2 examples I gave, you can bet your ass Boston put forth a greater effort vs Chicago when they scored 71 than they did when they scored 74 vs Charshit (the game SU results say as much). Just because a team gives forth a great effort doesn't automatically mean the buckets are going to drop that particular night (it's basic stuff to observe a slack effort vs a weak defense can still result in more scored than a great effort vs an excellent defense: back to the Charshit & Chicago examples). So, my comment about the C's O potentially being/going awol vs MIA was no comment on their being up (or not) for the game. Given what happened in the playoffs last year, it would've been an asinine assertion on my part to say that the C's weren't going to put forth a meaningful effort in this game going on. But unlike a team like Denver whose meaningful efforts basically always result in decent points totals, my pov was that's not the case with Boston. To go back to the Charshit example; you think every good team that's visited that venue this season has given 100% effort? Of course not. Good teams know an easy night's work when they see it. No doubt Boston didn't give their best when they scored 74, but all those other teams who didn't give their best - most pointedly the ones who lost SU like Boston did (Dallas, Indiana) - still scored well more than 74.

Solid work As usual BC. Love it when you post these trends. Only wish I bet it bigger. Keep up the good work man.

Thanks. Charshit's next 4 home games are all vs sub-.500 teams. Too easy to say all 4 go Over, but based on those stats it'd be shocking to think none do. As long as their opponent at the time hasn't suffered any significant injuries, and the line & refs are right, then there's no reason to not think about betting that way again.

Fucking Philly. Blows big lead. Lets Babbitt open all day at 3 pt line. All he does is stand at 3 pt line.

I just think the C's will run out of gas. They are playing at a very high level right now, but some of those old bones (Pierce) can't keep that pace all game.

calls and/or breaks. you don't think Pierce should get a T for taunting while LBJ gets one for taunting? jmo
