ML Dog Bowl Season

There is ALOT of line movement on these games today. OhSt-USC just went to 9! NCSt-ASU from 6.5 to 7 now back to 6.5
 
I noticed USC to 9, I almost bet that will go back down but not sure what to think of that with a +7.5 ticket.
 
Phil Bennet is coaching the bowl. Not sure it will matter. If I were looking for reasons to like ASU, I like it better that he is coaching the bowl. And I like it better that Graham is coaching rather than some random assistant. Napier is gone to ULL. WR/Co-OC Rob Likens will be OC for the bowl.
 
I'm waiting to see where some of the lines go myself, but did take some small wages on current lines just incase I lose value I have something at current number and hopefully will add more at better numbers.

UK 100 to win 298
NMSt 100 to win 176

I actually took WF small.

I think UK has potential for big plays in the passing game. Smaller chance they break a couple runs. I think NW will be hard pressed to get big plays through the air, better chance with Jackson, but I think UK D should matchup ok. Thorson could complete a high %, I don't really like going against him that much. But I think UK D should be able to make NW earn it rather than giving up cheap plays...as long as they put 11 defenders on the field for all the plays.

I think it is possible for UK to play up to their early season performances. And I think it is possible for NW to underperform their late season run.

Probably best way I could answer it. I know you are on the total, I am uncertain on that. I would expect both teams getting into the 20s. I expect a 1 possession game either way.

Edit - Thorson is only a Jr, not final game.
 
Looking at ISU for tomorrow. Memphis is explosive, but their defense can be had. Besides, the Cyclones have faced explosive offenses all year. None of which had a defense as bad as Memphis. Only concern is Memphis motivation. They appear to play really well in bowl games, or at least show desire to do well.
 
I like Iowa State tomorrow as well. Probably the biggest reason, is as you say, Memphis won't present anything that ISU hasn't already prepped and played against in the Big Xll schedule. ISU skill positions should really do some work vs Memphis. Just need some competent QB play to go with it and I think their O is going to do what they want. Defense, I'm sure Memphis will get some, but ISU D should know how to matchup.

FWIW: I concur in this post, but not concerned with motivation angle I think ISU will be just as motivated. They are trying to establish a new identity and are doing a great job of it.

When I went thru the games I made 4 selections of my own: Utah, MichSt, ISU & Miami. I actually think this game sets up perfectly for ISU to roll against an opponent that they have seen similar Os in their conference. ISU is my most confident selection of the Bowls.

As everyone knows by now, I usually just tail in college, but I do make ocassional selections and this is one of mine.

ISU is one of my favorite plays tomorrow. Will probably be on the side & TT. Swiss cheese defense versus an underrated ISU squad. Also, big coaching advantage in my opinion for ISU
 
Clones and Miami tomorrow for me. Hopefully I will be adding it to a nice take today vs trying dig me out of a rough Friday.

No ill feelings on the ASU play. I knew what I was getting into. It's just one of those things for me, if that upset were to happen I want to be on it, I'd be more mad not being on it and they won then I am taking a chance on it and it loses.

The UK game, wow. So many things that both teams or backers could point to in that one. I'm sure everyone watched. But a chance at the victory on a 2pt play with :30 left, if I could ask for that chance I would definitely take it every time.

Net Mexico State simply made my day. Seeing the emotion pour out of those players and fans on the field post game. Utah St D was really dialed in. Pretty surprised the NMSt D held up as good as it did. Ofcourse Utah St did miss 3 FGs in reg and 1 in OT. Back-to-back KO return TDs were only TDs of the first half. NMSt had like a 15y punt, led to Utah St pts. NMSt faked a punt, led to no pts. Utah St faked a punt that was stopped then NMSt threw 1st down INT at the goal line. Rose fumbled on a big run near midfield. NMSt D forced an incredible fumble from inside the 5 on an option pitch which was absolutely huge! Both teams were abysmal on 3rd down. Not a well played offensive game, really well played defensive game.

I had that Army avitar from when they beat Navy last season all this time. The only thing I thought was good enough to make me want to change it was NMSt's bowl victory.

It is my favorite moment of bowl season and it isn't close. And they should show that to all the people who say these bowls don't matter to the kids or the program or the fans.
 
Today feels like a ML dog day. Each of these dogs have a legitimate shot at the outright. Just read that two UL defensive players are foregoing the bowl to prep for their future. That defense is already bad. Can MSU tug on Superman’s cape? I prefer Peterson with extended amounts of time to prep. I am already down on ISU, will be looking for TTS too. The “U” is my least favorite of the bunch, but they are extremely athletic.

i did like miss st. with the points until i found out their entire coaching staff is gone...their TT has had me super intrigued but the coaching unknown is my hesitation
 
I played Miami 50 to win 111.

Fairly nervous due to being o-fer dog ML against wisky. I like Canes D here. I like them not accepting the finish they had. But I have no illusions of it being easy. Whisky has a history of beating more athletic and more talented teams. I just want to cheer for the upset in this one and think it is a reasonable chance.
 
Lost 260 on ML betting Wisconsin to lose this year and only covered 1 out of 5 of those.
 
My least favorite day from a betting perspective is today. All hunches, no conviction in anything. But this is the last day, so got to find something.
 
Identical thoughts. I teased clemson up as i snagged bama future when missed sec championship.

Okla just taking TT as taking their side is a bet on offense anyway
 
I don't have anything against the SEC, but would certainly rather see them not make it than get both in. Two teams from the same conference playing for it all still burns my ass.

I did not ML them however, just some ats action. But as one of the best dogs all season long, is it really that surprising they came through yet again?

For waking up this morning not sure who or how much I wanted to bet, it's turned out really fun. Not sure who to bet, what you think I do...gimmee them dogs! Did take a $10 ML on UCF, but played them +8 2nd H which means I need them to win outside of the ats.

These dogs will hunt!
 
What scares me is I like Oklahoma this am and thought neither this morning had a shot.
I leaned Sooners & Clemson this am.
That means Jorga & Bama win tonight.
Unless today is a ML DOG Day!

Would that not be something...... the last big NCAA football day and all ML Dogs hit!
That would just put a cherry on top of these threads we did all year!

Here is to Oklahoma & Clemson bringing it home tonight!
