Lets talk NHL in the summer...

Lafreniere will probably end up with Piitsburgh, Montreal, or NYI. Pittsburgh always has the lottery luck, Bettman would love to give a French star to Montreal, the commisioner is an Islanders fan. With all that said the Rangers could be a juggernaut with Lafreniere to go along with their young core.

I know the feeling, canucks got fucked like 3 drafts in a row, being bottom 3 in league and picking 5th at the highest
 
A team in the playoffs is getting a generational talent. I'll bet anyone good money it will be Toronto or Edmonton.

Everyone got fucked. Now a team can just tank a series, get back on vacation like they want anyway, and possibly end up with a stud. It’s the worst possible outcome for the worst possible draft decision they could have initially made.

They arent in the playoffs

It's a play in, they are playing to get in

If the league just went to the playoffs all those teams would be eligible for the lottery and would have won the lotto

It’s not the “playoffs” though. At least that’s what they’ll tell ya. The NHL has bought into the leftist agenda and simply changing the definitions of words as is so common these days. No shit.

Because they really don’t wanna come back to begin with, and think their team really doesn’t have a chance to win anyway?

What about an organization deciding to suddenly have half the team test positive for COVID and do it that way?

The fact either of those things are even possible is a fucking joke.

Of course it’s a change. Some teams are still playing and some aren’t. The format clearly isn’t the same or they wouldn’t have a 2nd lottery about to happen in a couple of months.

That's whinging to say it

If a team sits half their squad, or the pens announce sid and geno are out then there will be something to it

Same amount of teams were in the lottery, same amount will make the playoffs

They couldnt just start the playoffs, or not give the teams that dont make the playoffs no chance

Again, the fact it’s even a possibility is a fucking joke. There was no reason to not simply wait until the play in round was over to hold the lottery. Except to once again prove how fucking inept the league is, of course.
