English teams rarely look ahead its the Spanish and French teams that it becomes quite oblivious.
The best is when you can get a team like Barca/Real Madrid playing on the road before a CL meet the upcoming week.

The English teams are use to playing a lot of games and rotating their squad plus Man City has a ridiculous 2nd string squad too.
End of the day it's all about $$$, Man City do have their first CL game at home I believe so big plus there.
