European basketball season 2015/2016

Sloppy performance by Gravelines. I should give Le Mans credit for improving though. Albicy made crazy 3 point shot from half court with less than 5 seconds to go.

Ulm is the hottest team in Germany. When the playoffs started nobody wanted to play Frankfurt bc they played so well but when Ulm eliminated number 2 seed Oldenburg (huge upset) it became obvious that Ulm is for real. This is very team (24 years old / avg.), so it looked that they may need a season or two to peak but it happened earlier. Ulm is loaded with shooters but they play team basketball and are lead by talented but still underrated PG Per Gunther. Nobody saw that coming when they played in Eurocup (5-11 SU, 8-8 ATS). The club used Eurocup games to develop it's their players skills and now they are top 4 team in Germany.

St.Petersburg +8 - W
Frankfurt -8 - L

May 20th: 1-1 (-0.09u)

Season: 410-357-15 (+28.80u)

None of these plays is probably worth betting but as season is dwindling there's less and less games to pick, so..

ProA: Monaco -8 (1.91) B

Another rough day. Unfortunately for me the playoff basketball is impossible to cap no matter how many hours I spent looking at the numbers. It doesn't matter if I choose home team, road team, fave or dog - there's always something unexpected happening.

That Lyon team 2 month ago was losing with everybody - including shitty teams like Nancy, Cholet, Chalons or Antibes. Now they crush everybody and shoot the lights out. In September I placed a bet on Lyon-Villeurbanne to win ProA championnat at odds @13 (on bet365) and I canceled that in November (it was new and innovative option offered by bet365 back then). I don't think they will could win with Strasbourg but they have a shot at eliminating Monaco, if they continue to play like that.

Regarding Gran Canaria and Vitoria - I'm shocked how bad they play right now. Both teams are suffering from the 'glass roof' effect characteristic for Spanish league. Solid, medium tier teams like Malaga, Granca, Baskonia, Valencia know very well that they don't have enough $ and the necessary personnel to beat Barcelona and Real Madrid, so they concentrate on international cups (Euroleague, Eurocup), usually having great results there and don't even try to win Liga Endesa. This season was extremely good for Vitoria (Top 4 team in Euroleague) and Canaria (Top 4 team in Eurocup), so the hangover is even bigger. Both teams have had good position in the table for over two months (zero threat of elimination from the playoffs), so they just safely cruised for weeks. Now they are out of sync, they also look unprepared, slow and tired. Their shot is off, pick'n'roll is non existing, defense is soft and sloppy and so on... Valencia, Baskonia and G.Canaria should be treated as fade material when the post season starts, especially when oddsmakers make them big favorites. There's no point in backing them with money. Joventud that was trashed some time ago in Andorra today dropped 96 on Canaria and that is another game of Canaria with this kind of 'effort'...smh.

Fuenlabrada -5.5 - L
Pinar +7.5 - L

I never play Estonian league but I will make exception today. Kalev won 8 of 10 last meetings with Tartu and should close this series and secure championship title. I'm going today with home teams mostly - like I said Kalev and also Milano have good head-to-head record with their opponents. Milano was spanked in game 1, so they can't let Venezia win pivotal game 3 - they should be ready to play. No excuses.

KML: Kalev Tallin ML (1.71)
LegaA: Milano -2.5 (1.94)
ProA: Strasbourg -6.5 (1.94)
Winner: Rishon -2.5 (1.96)
Winner: Eilat -4.5 (1.99)

Hope you are wrong - i have 5000 euros that milano lose today.

Milano is playing chaotic basketball in playoffs - in game 1 they committed 16 turnovers and in game 2 whopping 22. They seem out of sync, so I wouldn't be surprised if they loose but at the same time there's a ton of data indicating that Milano will win ml, maybe ats too. We will see.

Still plenty of time - it's never over in euro basketball.

It's over -17 at the half. Jasmin Repesa is the most overrated and incompetent coach in Italy. He has no idea how to help his team. Milano has no true PG, which makes life even more complicated for a team that has roster build almost entirely around shooters/ball hogs.

And now Strasbourg is struggling too, here we go again...

I think cska goes down today.

I agree but the same I was thinking yesterday when I picked Kalev - everything went well until disastrous 4Q lost by 11 points (20:9). I hate betting on euro bb playoffs. In 2014/2015 season playoffs were even crazier.

This shitty Milano team in playoffs was 6-4 SU and 5-5 ATS in 2014/15 season. Back then Milano had better squad with Ragland (now Avellino), Meacham (Lyon), Kleiza, Hackett (Olympiacos), Melli (Bamberg), Samuels, Moss and James. They are regressing having on it's roster players like Gentile, Sanders, MacLean, Macvan and Batista, smh.

Venezia play is one point loss but I'm finally breaking out of this slump. May will be a losing month though. Everything went well until the postseason kicked off. The only explanation I have I'm a spot bettor, I love teams in spots and during long regular season there's plenty of teams 'in spots', resulting in lots of plays easy to hit. In postseason there's more variability and randomness, teams are suddendly getting hot & cold and it's often unclear who's going to cover.

oh boy ACB: Malaga -2.5 (1.94) line dropping..

So it was in Venezia +1.5 and Włocławek -4.5 case, none of those teams covered. Everybody's grandpa was on Darussafaka yesterday but Anadolu pulled ats win. Each game is different and the line movement is not everything that matters.
