Illinois was in the Red Zone 4x vs Iowa after a 17p 66y drive, 9p 37y drive, 9p 81y drive and 9p 26y drive. Those 4 possessions taken into the Iowa RZ (two in the 1H and 2 in the 2H) resulted in 3 FGs and an INT. So they can get in scoring position, but vs good Ds turning those into pts that matter is the hardest part.
I could ask, Minnesota would be against it as well in terms of scoring points in this game? Illinois D has looked every bit as good as Gophers.

I think minny offfense better (when they have their rb), but again I really don’t follow Illini much since I can’t bet them anyways. I doubt minny scoring a lot by any means, 20ish?

I thought Morgan would be good this year. Minnesota running game was still good last year after Ibrahim and Potts got hurt. Their #3 and #4 RBs were good for them, but they both transfered. Minnesota's O should not hinge on one RB, nobody's O should. If Minny is that dependent on him then they are not good enough around him. Perhaps, losing Autman-Bell is a bigger loss than Ibrahim?

I think it was reasonable to be high on him, because I was. The years of experience and his best OC returning. But maybe he is just too limited and that one year was more about the WRs he was throwing to than about his ability.

Pac12 was ruined by the last commissioner and obviously the chips have begun to fall. At least the SLC market will be in demand.

That game interests me a lot and I've been looking at it to see if I can find a bet. I lean Navy just on general principles, but nothing really stands out. I finally decided to take Navy as the first team in a small parlay and teaser. Don't have a second team for the parlay, but I added the Minn/Illinois under as the second half of the teaser
I like Navy, but not enough for a bet. Mainly bet it to have something going tonight

One those times betting at brick and mortar prevented me from making a bet, decided wasn’t worth driving over there for that game. Probably woulda took mordecai ov 308.5 pass yards and navy team total over 23.5 had I went but fuck it, still have some action on the last Mlb playoff game.

I can't bet live unless I'm somewhere I'm not usually at. I want Utah, but probably the only way I play it is if they are trailing at halftime. Don't like the hook, and don't really like the 3 either, but would bet them straight up at pick for sure.
Pickers Tahoe posts here, Steve, Greg, Kramer, the 3 of them have Utah. Think it is a little odd there isn't support for USC, I mean, I know some people are taking them, but at least the ones documented here aren't. Danny Kannell and Houston Nutt just picked Utah. The other guys on the weekly CBS College Show, 3 of those 4 guys picked Utah. After the way Utah looked vs UCLA, a lot of people shrugging that off. Just surprised more people aren't on USC.

I noticed that too. Haven't seen one public handicapper who has USC. Same with Penn State +7. Lot of them on Penn St, not a one on Michigan
Most on Bama, but a fair number on Tennessee. Most on Florida State, but fair number on Clemson, including several having good years. Okla State and TCU pretty even split.
I lean Utah or nothing, and like you I don't like that hook at all. There's no number in football I hate to lay more than a 3x, and three of the teams I like--Clemson, Syracuse, and Utah are all laying it.
I took Syracuse ML, Clemson both ways, and haven't bet Utah yet
Some of these lines are likely to change just before game time when we find out which QBs are playing and maybe I'll get lucky and one of these teams will come down to -3

I actually try to not look or listen the the Friday night halftime ESPN show, but out of the corner of my eye with it on mute, did I see Joey Galloway pick Tulane? That seems very odd, he usually plays power public teams right, not a lesser known AAC team. Bear likes USF, don't know his reasoning, but I like USF as well.

That Utah/USC line has not budged at any sportsbook in the world as far as I see so It's probably not going to.
And I see the Clemson line is going the other way. -4x most places, -5 in some.

I see a handful of others that interest me and I'm still looking for a second side or total for my SMU parlay, so I may find another one or two when I look at it tomorrow. Still have a desire to bet the Okla State/TCU game, and I feel like I should be able to handicap it and find a winner, but don't see a bet so far. Maybe I'll go over on that one

Hawaii...I had them last week on a hunch. Sometimes with these bad teams, you will see improvement, but it isn't in a straight line, it's choppy. I would generally be encouraged by what I saw out of them last week, but just know I've seen teams like them before, they play over their head and get attention and then the next week they underperform. It helps them in this situation that they are only playing UNR. Hard to have a ton of faith in them, for Bear to use them as one of his 3 favorite plays on the entire board feels a little bit like a reach, but he probably is anti-UNR and coupled with Hawaii's good game last week = play on Hawaii. Hard time believing he doesn't have another game he would share instead, but as Tahoe has pointed out, Bear likes throwing in bad teams in his picks. I do too, so I sympathize.

Line is dropping fast. Miss State -3x now in a lot of places.
If I had to bet it I'd take Miss State, but in addition to the other reasons mentioned above for not taking them, their FG kicking game was a disaster last year--if you remember Leach held open tryouts for the student body to find another kicker--and still is this year. Over the last couple of weeks he got so exasperated with the kicker he just quit even trying FGs went for it on fourth down.
A good kicker can be a lifesaver in this type game and Miss State doesn't have one
