Eberflus and staff need to be fired

I'd bet Raiders fans never thought that Antonio Pierce would keep the job and look how that has gone.
Im not saying Pierce is good but LV is completely without talent except Bowers. No QB RB or WR 1s. OL is not good. Just horrible drafting outside of Bowers Crosby. Dont see much chance for them to compete with Mahomes Herbert without some great drafts and FA signings. Doubt they can attract any top new coach like Johnson.

I doubt they could have landed him but if they were serious they would have made a run at Harbaugh last offseason.

Yeah im not a Harbaugh fan but think he's a great coach. I think they'll keep Pierce at least another year.
That's the one team I think Belichik would entertain but I'm not overly sold that he randomly makes a team a winner without the right pieces and LV needs a lot of those

Yeah agree. Best coach in world won't win with that roster. Ive read Davis is a cash poor owner so he probably keeps Pierce. They better nail this draft to even have a chance.

I think the small but very relevant transfer of ownership begins next season correct? So Brady is part owner?

Pretty sure he got approved but honestly haven't followed it much. Doubt it matters much. Dont see Davis paying 15m annually for Johnson or anything like that. Unless they get a home run qb in draft tough years ahead. Even though I think Bowers will be superstar. Great pick

Be crazy if they end up with the Sanders package for next year that everyone thinks Dallas wants

Is he bringing an in his prime Brady because he's shown no ability to win without him.

Pretty sure they have mutual hate for each other.
Hate yet respect is what I gather

The whole Sanders thing would be interesting, had been seeing Deion and Shadeur as a package type deal that Dallas could entertain but Fat Mac isn't there to make their draft stock as interesting as they might need it to be. Would be a perfect show (or shit show) for Vegas though.

Just my opinion only...

Ben Johnson is holding out for a great gig with a solid owner/front office.

Here's my list..

BJ will stay another year or two until these gigs open.

Bills. If they flame out, that job could be open this winter and next year for sure.

Eagles. See above.

Bengals. See above

Dolphins. See above

Niners. See above.

Cowboys... Yes they have Jerry Jones but he's just a buffoon at this point who I didn't really think meddles much into shit unless the team is terrible. His leash has been pretty long with the last few HCS which shows some loyalty.

Chicago definitely has the cap space and some good pieces on offense but I would be very surprised if he went there considering the front office and owner are awful. They screwed the pooch not getting Harbaugh because of a vendetta by Kevin Warren. That's pretty bad.

Washington was the great job opening last offseason with the good owner and supposedly front office as well as the chance to draft Daniels and I still don't know why he turned that one down.

Ben should show some pity to one of the great fanbases in the league and come save my Jets but I know there is a better chance of the incompetent Aaron Glenn getting the job.

He and his wife have 3 children. They are from the south. He's probably making $2 Million a year now. I know money speaks to many, but knowing he will be a head coach and will make excellent money wherever he goes, I would go where it is best for the family and income taxes are lowest. Jacksonville, Carolina, Miami, Cincy, or Dallas be my first choices. But with private jet access I guess anywhere is possible.

Johnson was born on May 11, 1986, in Charleston, South Carolina. He attended and played quarterback at A. C. Reynolds High School in Asheville, North Carolina, where he was named conference player of the year as a senior and graduated in the top five of his class

Detroit Lions offensive Coordinator Ben Johnson wife Jessica Johnson was born Jessica Fleming on May 23, 1986, in Ashville, North Carolina. Jessica Johnson attended AC Reynolds High School and later attended North Carolina State University from where she graduated in 2008.

New Jersey is considered the south by some.

Thanks bones. I forgot to add Jacksonville to the list. This might be trivial, but based on your post does he want to work in a cold weather city whose team play outdoors? That's another factor possibly.

I believe he already turned down Washington and Carolina last year which shocked a lot of people considering his background.

Yeah, he's definitely someone who keeps things close to the vest and doesn't show his cards. Thought he was gone for sure last year. He's a smart guy, he knows he has all the leverage in the world... Maybe he wants to go do ayahuasca with Rodgers.

I agree. Only bit is on the owners being awful is they are because of who they hire. HCs and GMs and loyalty internally is their legacy. They arent maniacs who start drama or are like Jerry etc.

I dont think Ben waits and hopes for a specific job but as of now it seems like CHI will be the top job this offseason. If Stefanski gets fired I’d want him too.

I'll be going on a long retreat if the Jets hire someone like Glenn or Arthur Smith who are the two names most mentioned.

Stefanski is one of the guys I'd want and I could definitely see him being fired though the odds are against it.

Nagy is the last HC they hired that made sense. Trestman, Fox, Eberflus… insane. Ben Johnson, Vrabel, Kliff all make sense so lets see how they fuck it up

I think a perennial playoff team that has reached it's limit with a coach gets fired as well. But if not, Chicago is definitely the top job. For sure. Cleveland is a solid spot but man they go through coaches like candy....I guess Chicago has too though recently.

I just want competency at this point. Also ive shit on Poles for 2 years while everyone sucked him off. He made 1 lucky trade, rest is shit.

You guys need an offensive minded coach. That's where most of the success has been recently with HCs.

You can have Glen. Who gives a shit.

You can't go wrong with any of those 3 imo. I do think Ben needs more experience first, don't want to see a McDaniel situation. That guy is overrated as fuck.

Come on the Jets is the bestest opening ever and in reality they give these loser coaches and GMs way longer than they deserve.

I agree completely and wouldn't even interview any defensive coaches. As for Glenn he is only mentioned because he played for the Jets like any of us are supposed to care about that.

Kliff, Ben, or Vrabel would definitely excite me as a Bears fan.
Maybe Vrabel would work out in Chicago but I don't want my loser team hiring him and I just don't get the excitement about Kliff when he has failed mutiple times as a head coach.

Kliff is a wild card. Great offensive mind. Just thinking maybe he's learned with experience. He's not been in the NFL that long.

Vrabel is a helluva coach. Look at the Titans now. He had them in the playoffs yearly just about. If he had a good QB he might have a ring.

I can put up with Vrabel but I'd be lying if I said I was excited about the prospect of hiring him but the names mentioned for the Jets opening are so disgustingly bad that I am just hoping to not completely despise who they pick as I have every other coaching search this century.
