Just thought it would be best to have one thread for each of the Conference Finals, instead of for each game.
Will post the lines for each game in the first post, as games go on.

Miami isn't gonna beat Indiana, they're gonna CRUSH them...

When the Pacers were a different team, their defense, clutch if not overpowering offense, and smart play pulled them close to even with the Heat. A seven game series wasn't guaranteed for the defending champs. The collapse of The Pacers this season has been widely acknowledged as you know. What the media ISN'T talking about is how the Pacers haven't really taken any real measure to improve over the first two series. What really did it for me was game 5 against Washington. Indiana just has absolutely zero ability to win a game on their home court against even a decent team at will. Hibb's play has been slightly better...slightly. But the fact of the matter is, they're a defensive team that doesn't have the ability to execute strong team defense against Miami anymore. They cant score enough to stay with Miami. And they have absolutely zero chance of beating Miami on the road. These two token series wins thus far is a testament to how pathetically weak the East is, not evidence of Indiana Pacers resurgent. I see a bunch of individual players step out on the court, that has played only SLIGHTLY better then their competition thus far. The fact that they dropped 2 games to the Wizards, and THREE fucking games to Atlanta, should be proof enough. Miami's Miami. They're simply on another level and the only legit team in the East anymore.

So here's the rub,

Miami will not lose either home game...no they will not, neither game will be close. Seeing as how the Pacers have so very little ability to hold serve in Indiana and once again, considering the completely different levels in which these teams are playing... I don't see them winning game 3 either.

The only question is, do you think Miami wins game 4? IDK...IDK if they would even want to, even care. That really depends on how much time they'd have to rest before the finals...don't wanna get TOO stale...(ask Pop, as he just tossed Portland a respect win on their HC)...

My contention is this, Miami is gonna be favored in game 4, and I guarantee you're gonna get a decent price if you take Miami to sweep.

Will they? Idk, they cannot lose the series. They cannot lose 2 games IMO. They cant lose game's one or two IMO either. Game 3 is gonna be balls to the wall for Miami as well so I honestly believe a sweep prop comes down to one outcome in game four.

My bet? Miami to sweep...whatever you wanna bet on it. If they lose game 4 you can always just go a million to win your money back on game 5's moneyline lol.

Miami to sweep looks like a damn good bet, I wish you luck

New thread worthy when everyone and their dog already believe this to be the case?

GL if you take the sweep, would think the odds would be pretty shitty though

Ivy, you do know that Pacers have the HCA and host the first two games?
I think you got a bit mixed up here...

Beg to differ. Indy will compete in this series.

Heat will not sweep and this could go 7.

oh god i completely forgot they were the 1 seed LMAO...

that makes me like the sweep 10x more.

Miami can close it out in 4 IN miami...

Johnson, I don't believe many people will be coming out saying Miami are sweeping their Eastern Conference rival with HCA no.

I completely forgot they were the 1...holy shit, that REALLLLLY makes me like a sweep....

Game 1 is going to Miami, there is no game that the Heat want against Indiana that they wont get. Game 2, now becomes the only road block as MAYBE the Heat get complacent after stealing HCA, but I don't think so...not only up 1-0 in a series. And I have no faith in the Pacers ability to steal any wins in Miami either.

Ivy, Indiana are actually 4 - 2 SU on the road in this playoffs and had won a game in Miami in each of the series against them in the last two years. I would be surprised not to see each team getting one road win in this series.

Divol, the Pacers are NOT the team that they were when they played those series man. The last three months, they have fallen to a team that wouldn't break .400 if they played in the western conference. They beat NO ONE in these two series and went 8-5 against them. Miami is the one and only team in the East anymore.

Prior stats mean absolutely nothing. Hibb is an all-star who has multiple 0 point efforts in the playoffs lol. Never in the history of the NBA has that happened. They're the farthest thing from a team I've ever seen. They're playing like 5 individuals on a court, against teams like the Wizards and the Hawks...you can win games like that. At least a few more then you lose. You cant beat Miami like that.

Pacers wouldn't take two games off of any of the remaining teams in the playoffs. They wouldn't have taken 2 games off of LAC either...Perhaps not Memphis or Dallas either.

Good idea, I was thinking the same thing myself. Start the west whenever you would like.

I see VI opened up Miami as 2 and the consensus is 3 now.

I figured a 2.5 to start tbh.

I'm not Guaranteeing a sweep...I'm saying that betting on a sweep at vegas futures odds is a +EV play...

and obviously the notion that everybody thinks Miami is gonna crush isn't accurate KJ...

I offered a bet that the Pacers don't win 2 games because I believe that to be the outcome that cannot happen.

Anyone that's interested in the bet, post here...post how much $$ and post what odds you're willing to give and I'll come back tonight

I really thought you were smarter then that...

I meant stats prior to their demise

cashman, you're nuts you want +300 that the Pacers win 2 games LMAO

i am nuts but thats for a different thread... you are so confident in the heat "crushing" and getting a sweep,, what is the issue with the Pacers winning 2?

I did not post this thread to gamble.

I gave a TINY discount with CTG members I like and respect to bet on SAS for the season for FUN...I dont make bad bets...Why would I offer you some crazy bet when I can get leaps and bounds better elsewhere? I'm done with you.

I truly believe INDY can win this series- Does the NBA want INDY in finals prob not- I think it goes OKC-MIA

Hibbert is gonna have a fucking huge series. Over prop every game. Miami is incapable of stopping him and he has his head on straight again.

IF he was indeed back, I wouldn't be writing this. There's no evidence he's made more then a baby step on the way back. And Miami is REALLY playing well right now NBA

Think 4-2 is the reality, 4-3 a possibility and 4-1, 4-0 or a Pacers series win the longshot.

We will see a motivated Indy, aside from all the fucking around they did - this is what they wanted. They made the ECF's playing at 40% capacity, can't discount that.

As for Miami, they are far from playing their best (which could be considered scary) and Crooklyn were a few brain-farts away from taking that series to 7.

Miami winning 4-2 is +260 at Bovada, so +300 ain't far off if that's how you see it Ivy.

great call faz...

I'll go $100 to win $400 on Heat sweep if you wanna?

emkee, motivation isn't an issue in the ECF though...their lack of cohesiveness is.

When Boston made the 07-08 finals (as a 66-16 team, and lost to the Lakers after being 3-2 up), they lost "3 FUCKING games to Atlanta." in a 1st Rnd series prior to making & winning the Conference Finals. Atlanta that regular season went 37-45. Atlanta this past reg. season went 38-44, to Indy's 56-26. If Indy has no right to lose 3 fucking 1st Rnd games to Atlanta & expect to win the Conf. finals, what right did Boston have as a team with a superior record to Indy's, facing an even worse Atlanta team than what Indy did? Indy didn't lose to Atlanta or Washington whenever they had their backs to the wall (both opponents failed to win a game played at a time when they led their respective series), that's the stat that matters to me from Indy's series to date.

Ivy, i will take Indiana to go at least 6 or win the series...if miami wins 4-0 or 4-1, you win, any other result i win

$100...payable by paypal after the series is over

want it?

BC- I hear ya, but how I've seen some of these games play out this post season has made me really believe the Pacers are crushable

A team lacking such major cohesiveness as you pointed out, Ivy wouldn't respond on the road after getting shit-whipped by almost 30 points in a home 'elim' game.

Pacers apparent 'issues' are smoke and mirrors, team is much better than last season. My thoughts are that they were somewhat toying with the season/early playoff stages up until this point.

I don't think they are toying. I think that something really strange is going on with them. I can't remember such a rollercoaster team ever.
Boston won the title in 2008, despite playing 7 games series in each of the first two rounds of the playoffs and 6 games in the last two series, but there it was really clear. They haven't lost one home game in the first two rounds and haven't won a road game in the first two rounds. Home team won all of the 14 games.

Here it's something different. They started the season playing like one of the best defensive teams in the last 15 years at least and looked like they are going to win the title.
Then the collapse, but even then, they played Heat well for 3 out of 4 halves (winning at home and collapsing in the second half in Miami).
Lost 2 out of 4 home games against the Hawks, but won 2 out of 3 road games. Lost 2 out of 3 home games to the Wizards, but won all three road games.

I don't know what's going on with them, but it's obvious for me, that they aren't mental midgets or something. They just have huge ups and downs that they can't figure out or can't solve the issue.

Also, this team's whole vision and design was to compete with the Heat roster. In the summer, when they made their moves, they thought of this moment, ECF and how they get past the Heat.
They signed Bynum, just to make sure that Heat won't.
This is a team that waited the entire season for this moment and it was obvious from day one.

Obviously Heat can sweep, but I believe that Pacers have the exact same chances to sweep as well (or at least very similar). Both very good teams, Pacers overcame their road difficulties in a big way this post season and I believe they can win two games in Miami if needed.
Heat obviously are the champions and have the best player in the world, that just keeps getting better. They can win any game on any given day.

I think that Pacers can get it done in 6 or 7 games, but I personally don't want to take any bets on this series, but just wait.

I have Pacers to win the East and Pacers to win the title bets that I took before the season started and I feel pretty comfortable with them at the moment.

The pacers were apathetic to start the playoffs because the team goes as hibbert goes. Plus the team didn't realistically think they had to worry about anyone else except Miami Hibberts energy was there last game. You could just see it in his demeanor on the court. And the wiz bigs didn't really allow him to do much damage on the score board. He's the type of guys that feeds off the energy on the defensive side. And vs Miami he's going to be challenged in the paint and should respond on the other side of the court. I don't think the heat could stop him. And his point props are going to be super low hopefully.
