:enraged:Wisconsin should have won by a few trillion. In the second half, Wisconsin stopped on fourth and one from the purdue 16, Intercepted at purdue 15, had a tripping penalty on first and goal and had to settle for a fg. I won't even get into the first half. 79 of purdues 230 came on one play. About as big a whooping as you will see.
I had Alabama so understand I was happy about how things transpired but ....... LSU was called for the most ridiculous penalty for one of a ton of minor pushes that occurred after a first and goal play late that pushed them back and forced a FG. Then the Tigers kick the kickoff out of bounds. Then with no timeouts left, the Tigers managed to give up the sideline about four or five times to the bama players! Then the worst kicker in North America makes a game tying FG. Then the officials miss two pass interference calls against bama in overtime. LSU was the slightly better team or the teams were dead even that day ... certainly bama didn't deserve a 7 pt win .. I suppose since it went to overtime that it isn't deceiving really ...
SEC officiating as a whole has been horrendous and inconsistent all season. The 2 "no call" PIs on LSU's last possession were at least consistent with how they called it all game, lots of hand checking on both sides. The two late personal fouls were terrible (the LSU one you mentioned as well as the one on Alabama in OT), and I don't know how they called that punt a touchback instead of down at the one. But I think the game was pretty even, though it certainly felt like LSU dominated because of the huge TOP difference. Similar to the 2011 games, I think there's a whole lot of future NFL draft picks on the field last night, especially on defense
I forgot about the personal foul on the bama OT , 72? ... That was an absolutely awful call too. And I don't consider either of the PI's legit but in todays football it is generally called with that much contact. I liked the no calls and you are right they allowed a lot all game so it wasn't inconsistent.
ya statistically bama outgained them and had a better yards per play .. it was a bad addition to the thread ... was more of a bad beat for lsu backers than a misleading final score.
