I think Fields needs to go to NYThen again like I've said maybe Justin Fields gives Urban a new lease on life.
He would look good in Green

C'mon man, CFB you pick your players. NFL, players pick you. Hope this is dripping with sarcasm twink.Isn’t the pros easier though? No recruiting. No kids.

It’s not at all. Its way more work.C'mon man, CFB you pick your players. NFL, players pick you. Hope this is dripping with sarcasm twink.

Gimmicky offenses don't work well in the NFL. Just using Urban as an example the most successful NFL QB that he ever coached was Alex Smith.Well why do you think so many great college coaches fail in the NFL? Genuinely asking
Because they are dealing with paid athletes and it’s a different technique and situationWell why do you think so many great college coaches fail in the NFL? Genuinely asking
The only time I’ve ever liked the guyI’m going to miss Urban as a Fox analyst, he was fantastic
Lions in bidding war with Jets lolLet me have my fun. When the Jets hire Marvin Lewis you can poke fun at me.
Have a feeling college coaches think recruiting their own athletes and job security is much less stress than managing egos of athletes under contract. It’s not at all. Its way more work.
There’s no offseason though, and many schools don’t get who they want.Have a feeling college coaches think recruiting their own athletes and job security is much less stress than managing egos of athletes under contract.
There's no offseason in the NFL though either, it's why we get shows 365/year on NFL and instead of booster politics, it's owner/GM politics, managing salary cap, etc. If NFL were easier, you wouldn't see such turnover from top to bottom (well, figuratively speaking sans a couple poorly runs orgs) every year which really isn't the case in college. Coaches can sell programs, history, recent success to recruits in college. In the pros they can't really sell that unless your name is Jack Elway or Archie Manning. There’s no offseason though, and many schools don’t get who they want.
Recruiting at these football factories and the politics involved is unimaginable.
That’s why I said this part. It’s 30 teams. It’s harder to “make it” in the NFL as a successful coach though if that’s what you mean. Have to have a very good front office usually.
Todd Bowles would be a heck of a start.Hope Holmes is as good at picking coaches as he is supposedly at evaluating talent.
Until it’s official my guess is Urban walks away.Hearing Charlie Strong and Morgan Scalley may be joining Urb on the defensive side.
I heard Charlie tooHearing Charlie Strong and Morgan Scalley may be joining Urb on the defensive side.

Definitely possible brewers.I heard Charlie too
Scalley is a new rumor to me. Wow.
Mattison either going with him or retiring as well
It’s pretty debatable.Lions.
Not even close.
No doubtLions totally going to end up with Marvin Lewis
@VirginiaCavs
is it a coincidence that Urban can draft a buckeye at #1?
I think he took the job just to draft Fields. He lost the CFB championship, gotta give Fields a consolation prize.....
Wait.......Jacksonville doesn’t need to draft Fields......they can get Haskins........Meyer to the rescue..........Brewers, it‘s enough that you make the same joke 10 times on your own account. Now you have to use your alternate account to say the same thing?

Staley supposedly doesn't want to leave unless its a great situation which obviously Detroit isn't. Todd Bowles sounds like a Lions kind of hire.Rams DC
Don’t we need WR for west coast offense? Will the Heisman fit the system?Obviously I do not like the Saleh hire but there is one positive I can take from it and that is there is no way they are drafting Fields to run a WCO. Zach Wilson is perfect for this style of offense but I think they will stick with Darnold and waste another season.
