C-MAN NHL 2025-26

C-MAN

Grass Observer
i’ve been mostly watching the first month of the season to get a feel. Going to post my first NHL plays of the year and see how it goes.

Buff -145
Pens -105
Ducks +155

I predominantly watch Pens and Sabres games, so tend to bet those ones. Think they both win tonight. Just could not pass Ducks up at this price. GL

Thanks CPA. I’ll take a 2-1 start.

A little disappointed with the Sabres last night. They outshot the blues in every period, but just could not put the puck in the net.

I’m really hoping both the Pens and Sabres make the playoffs this year. The last couple years the Sabres finished the season strong, but had been in a really tough position because of their slow starts. After starting the season, 0-3 this year, they seem like they’ve been putting it together and at least collecting points in most games. I really thought they would take care of business last night knowing they have a tough 4-game road trip on deck.

Really hard not to back the Isles tonight. I knew yesterday i would be on them...but hoped for a better number. It didnt happen. I expect a good effort out of them as some of the things they have been doing well have not hit the scoreboard.

Im hoping the Canes took some of the luster off the wild as they head to Nassau tonight.

I hear ya. Not thrilled with the price but I’m hoping it’s priced steep to lure Wild money.

Big Saturday Card

Sea +135
Bos/Tor o6 -110
Ducks +170
Van -115
NYR -155

Love the Rangers today. Took them -1.5 as well. Just what the doctor ordered for a team that has not been able to win at home this season. Rags are riding a 5-game winning streak vs the Isles at MSG.

Season 2-2 -.4

Note to self: Rangers really, really suck at home. Only blemish on Sat’s card.

Sunday:

LAK/Pens 1P o1.5 -135
Sea +1.5 -135

Kings are rested and should start fast today and Pens are always good for a goal in the 1P at home. 1P overs in Pens home games are 5-1 o/u this season.

Sea has been a good road dog but Dallas has dominated the H2H series. Elected to go with the PL as Dallas is only 1-7 PL at home.

Season 6-3. +3.1

Monday:

Nash/NYR u5.5 -105

Saros (expected) has a 1.76 GAA and two shutouts against the Rangers, including a 2-0 win at Nashville last season. I’m not sure it matters which goalie Nashville puts out there given the Rangers scoring woes at home. Would prefer to see Quick in net but I’ll take Igor. Watching Sully’s press conference after the Isles game, he was very disappointed with untimely pinches by defenseman, turnovers in the neutral zone, and giving up odd man rushes. I expect to see a strong defensive effort from the Rangers tonight. Rangers have called up Perreault to try and help the offense. I’m not sure what line he will play on, but it should take a little time to gel. I think the Rangers win tonight, but not willing to lay it.

Season 8-3 +5.1

Very nice start this season!

Love the write-ups, GL tonight!

Tuesday

Ott -120
Sea -120

Dallas has not won in Ottawa since 2016 (0-8 L8) and Ottawa is riding a nice 4- game home winning streak. As long as Ottawa stays out of the box and/or contains the Dallas power-play, I like them to win This looks like a tough spot for Columbus after blowing a couple two goal leads last night vs Edmonton. Now they have to turn around and play b2b on the last leg of a winless West Coast road trip before their home rematch vs Edmonton. Was eyeing up a couple of overs (Sharks/Wild and Leafs/Bruins), but both were heavily juiced for the game and first period so laying off for now.

Season 8-4 +4.05

Shitty Tuesday losing two games in OT where the home teams both blew leads.

Wednesday

Utah -200

Pricey, but have to play it. Although the game ended 2-1 in OT, the Mammoth completely dominated the Sabres in Buffalo last week. I don’t see why tonight would be any different with the shift in venue.

Season 8-6 +1.65

Thursday

SJ +145
CBJ -125

The line in the SJ/Cal game is insane to me. I know history favors the Flames, but San Jose is playing solid hockey right now. I’ll take the better team on the road at a nice price. Columbus has won straight up the last four home meetings versus Edmonton by a combined score of 21-10. They were huge underdogs in all 4 of those games. These teams just played an exciting game in Edmonton and in took a heroic effort by McDavid to get the comeback win. Edmonton has been inconsistent all season, especially on the road. I think Columbus gets revenge tonight. Lean to Det but not playing it.

Season 9-6 +2.65

Always planned to double up on the Pens in game 2 if they lost the first game but missed the early start. Oh well…

Monday

Ducks -105

Season 10-8 +1.40

San jose really stuck out to me also. While i have made some good money playing on the ducks this year, ottawa looks to be the more reasonable side.

I get the distinct feeling there could be an under in colorado.

That Ott line jumped out at me. A road fave at the Ducks?? Stinks to high heaven.

I guess it wasnt too stinky as the Sens got it done. Strange.

really weird result in Detroit. I didnt watch, but that was a coupling of a putrid effort by the wings and a great effort by the Isles. Really good road trip for them.

Blackhawks look tempting tonight at that price , but this is the 1st b2b for them this year. But buff at almmost a $2 fav? Hmmmm

Yeah, I meant stinky in the sense they were begging for Ducks money! Ducks are in 1st place and had won 6 straight at home. Sometimes the line tells a story. I read an article where some of the Ottawa guys were stressing how important this road trip was for their team, so will be some good opportunities to back them in the next week or so, especially when Tkachuk comes back.

Speaking of fishy lines, Buffalo is another one of those tonight. I don’t know if I can back them at 2-1, but I suspect they win this game and may try to find a cheaper way to bet them.

Detroit was a disappointing swing and miss. I really liked them to avenge the humiliating 7- 2 loss versus the Isles earlier in the season. And it seemed like a perfect opportunity with the Isles on the last game of a long and already successful road trip. Oh well.

Buffalo perhaps in regulation? Thats about the only way i could. But it is still -118. Might be a stay away.

Like the pens and wild here. Just want to double check goalies.

Kings a little overvalued here i think. But worth the price in this apot as opposed to sabres. Played hard in the shootout loss to the sharks. Does bruins have enough to have a shot? 3rd b2b for lak this year in which they lost 1st leg but won 2nd.

I read the ny post...so i get all the scribes talk of both them and the nyr. They have a quality squad and, prior to this excellent road trip...they were priced fairly. 7 game homestand upcoming for them. The last 4 eill be a toughher stretch, imo ( phi, wash, tb, col) than the first 3 (stl and sea b2b, and bos).

Buff has only led 4 times after the first period in 20 games this season. Chicago has scored first in 7 straight games and 15 times overall this season, which leads the NHL. I think I’d rather wait and see how this plays out. If the teams hold true to form, you can probably get Buff live if they trail 1-0 early, or if they are tied at the end of the first period, at a decent price, including OT.

I agree Kings should win, but Kings only 1-4-2 at home so far and Boston has won 4 of L5 meetings @LA. Now, Boston was a better team then and was favored in the 4 meetings they won @LA, but it’s probably enough to keep me off the game.

Not much I like tonight unfortunately. Thought for sure I would be on the Pens but not so sure about them now either.

Jets as a home dog looks like most appealing side to me, I just don’t like being against Canes off a loss. Hellebuyck should be back in net but he has been pretty inconsistent lately. Over might be in play.

Im on winnipeg myself. However i got it at a cheaper price since i went early.

The stats sure scream pitt...but something just does feel off. First roadie for minn after taking 4 of 5 at home. They had 2 days rest after vegas ot winner on sunday and anoyher day off after a shootout winner over carolina wednesday.

Ill likely take a full unit...and split it between chi and bos both in regulation. I can see some pathways were both hit....but ill be fine with a split

Saturday

Ott -165
Edm/Fla o6 -105

Ullmark is undefeated in seven starts (7-0-0) against San Jose with a .928 save %. I like the way this team is rolling right now. SJ has been good at home this season, but like Ott to get this one and continue a strong start to its road trip.

Season 14-11 +2.55

Thanks Wolfe. Lots to like today in the NHL but think I’m gonna stick with those two plays. The fishy line of the day is NYI only -125 to the lowly Blues. Let’s see how that one shakes out.

Monday

NJ -135
Ott/LAK u5.5 -130

Didn’t love the Sunday slate but lots to like tonight. Probably limit to these two plays but a few others (StL and Utah) may be added.

GL tonight, keep this nice start going!!

Sucks there is only 1 game tonight. Initially, I thought this would be a good opportunity for Dallas catching Edmonton off a long and inconsistent road trip. Plus Dallas has not lost back-to-back games in a month. However, Stars will be without Rantanen tonight and they are on the front end of a back to back whereas Edmonton doesn’t play again until Saturday. Edmonton looked strong against - albeit it a depleted - Florida and can look to build off the momentum of that win. I expect a strong effort from Edmonton tonight, but do not want to bet against Dallas off a loss. Plus, there is a nice slate of games tomorrow. Pass.

Tons of action tonight. GL everyone!

Great pick with Bruins in town! Should be a good game. Although I have had a hard time figuring either of these teams out so far. I’ve been to 3 games in Detroit, all during the 08 and 09 playoffs (including the game 7 Pens SC victory) and by far the best and most welcoming environment for visiting teams fans and a great experience overall (I even enjoyed the 2 losses).

The wife is from Buffalo so we went to Sabres/Pens last night and going to Bills/Steelers on Sunday. Hoping to go 2-0 vs Buffalo this week, though wife won’t be happy if that happens.

I’ll probably give some money back in the NFL today, but shaping up to be another big NHL card on Friday as there are some excellent matchups.
