6-5 last week for an exact breakeven at -120 juice. Let's hope for better this week.
Season to date - 47-29
FCS 31-23
Crossovers 10-2
FBS 6-4
and on to week 9.
DARTMOUTH -17 1/2 v Columbia - The Big Green usually has one game each year where they roll the opponent. This looks like the game. 0-5 Columbia is down 45-187 on the scoreboard. They managed 4 first downs against Penn last week. Dartmouth were ambushed by Bucknell after a big win over Yale, and I expect them to play back to that game this week.
Towson -12 @ Richmond - Aside from Albany, Richmond looks like the worst team in the conf after last week's dismal loss to URI, 10-12. They are receiving only 12 points from maybe the best team in the CAA.
Sacred Heart -3 @ St Francis - Game involves two teams that know how to score points.Give me the visitors who chalked up 115 against league opponents the last two weeks.
Samford -4 @ Wofford - Winner likely wins the conf title with its automatic playoff bid.
While Wofford has squeaked by two of the conference lesser teams in last two weeks, Samford has rolled over same. One of the two blemishes on record is a 10 point loss AT Arkansas.
Gardner Webb +10 v Liberty - The Bulldogs are much improved this year with wins over higher ranked Furman, Richmond, and Wofford. The Flames are trying to recover from a multiple OT loss to Coastal Caro a week ago and have seen their chances for a playoff berth evaporate.
Northern Ariz +6 1/2 @ Cal Poly - Heavyweight bout in the Big Sky. I think the points could be helpfu . Sagarin ratings slightly favor the visitor here.
Clemson -16 1/2 @ Maryland - The best athletes by far in the ACC play for Florida St,
Miami, and Clemson. Look for the Tigers to bounce back here. I would lay these points even if the Terps weren't decimated by injuries.
Iowa State +12 1/2 v Oklahoma St - If this game were in Stillwater , - but it's not. It's in Ames. Go back 3 weeks to see the last away game for the Cowboys and the last home game for the Cyclones.
Several games where I'm on the fence so you might check back tomorrow. Meanwhile, GL to all.
