Bills DB Damar Hamlin Thoughts...

Dr. Peter McCullough just wrote me (7:54pm): (this is from the article posted below, he was not writing ME, lol...also any emphasis was his from the article as well)

"I watched the play live both as a fan and a cardiologist and I saw blunt neck and chest trauma, a brief recovery after the tackle and then a classic cardiac arrest. I have communicated to one of the most experienced trainers in the world and we agree that it was a cardiac arrest in the setting of a big surge of adrenalin. If Damar Hamlin indeed took one of the COVID-19 vaccines, then subclinical vaccine-induced myocarditis must be considered in the differential diagnosis. We have been told he was successfully defibrillated on the field and has been intubated and is not spontaneously breathing which is consistent with anoxic encephalopathy. The nation prays for his complete recovery."
Peter got it right…. 3 hours after he said that, the Buffalo Bills confirmed he was correct:
https%3A%2F%2Fbucketeer-e05bbc84-baa3-437e-9518-adb32be77984.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2Fbf4d9dae-f414-4ccf-bb6b-81e5027bfa26_908x281.png

Note that McCullough originally speculated that the injury that Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin was due to commotio cordis (a phenomenon in which a sudden blunt impact to the chest causes sudden death in the absence of cardiac damage). The time delay from the hit until he collapsed is expected in commotio cordis. Peter believes that the ventricular tachycardia and ventricular fibrillation could have been set up by the vaccine if he took it.

Hamlin was shocked back to rhythm. He now has anoxic encephalopathy. He’s in critical condition at the hospital.

This isn't true. Again, you're talking about OPINION shows and EVERY SINGLE network has had the same rulings go against their opinion hosts (the ruling simply says you can't take anyone's opinion as the truth and no reasonable person should take it as fact...it says nothing about the guests they have on, the info they disseminate, etc, etc...it is simply about THEIR opinions).

I think you're a bit misinformed, I hope you'd take a little time to research what you're saying because you'll find out it's not true.
All have their problems but MSNBC is rated the worst by newsguard. Fox is rated to be more honest than both CNN and MSNBC.

Nice brother. You live out there or are you at the casino? Or bar hopping on 3rd street maybe? Lol
Stopped at the casino sportsbook ....Been spreading small money across the board on long shot SB wheels the last couple weeks...
Chargers are going to be dangerous in the AFC ...
Weird feeling the Giants or Packers steal the NFC ...

Do you know how fast the Science community would turn on the vaccines if they were dangerous ?
Do you understand how the “Science community” functions and where the money that allows it to exist and evolve comes from and more importantly who/what controls those purse strings? Many universities science departments wouldve disappeared 2 years ago if an independent thinker were not silenced. But to answer your question, around 2-2.5 years after the censorship and career manipulation was fully implemented. You don't communicate with any doctors on a personal level? Its like some people still walk around in a bubble that is impenetrable from the forced narrative that needed heavy censorship to exist as long as it did and apparently still does for some opposed to free thought.

With the above said, it has nothing to do with Hamlin as of this point and hopefully is completely unrelated. I along with many of us continue to pray for a full recovery for this young man. The vaccine narrative is useless in this moment but if it opens up the eyes of even 5% of those with closed minds it will be quite refreshing.

Any chance they just cancel the game?

There's definitely a chance this happens. If we don't know before this weekend's games, it's possible the league is waiting to see what type of impact the game will ulitmately have on the seeding in the AFC. There are so many possibilites right now depending on who wins/loses between KC, Buffalo, and Cinci, it would make sense to wait it out.

But at the same time, if the league is okay with the Bills and Bengals playing their Week 18 games, it seems tough to imagine they don't play the game from last night as the league itself still has to move on and function, and if they're good playing this week what would be the reason they don't play the game? It's obviously a weird and unique situation all around and will be interesting to see how it plays out.

He doesn't, as he literally just said that "it's been proven that Fox News has set a legal precedent that it's not factual news," which is as far from the truth as believing the Earth is flat. It's okay, we can reach them one by one if we need to.

It's bad news Damar had to be resuscitated again when they arrived at the hospital. I hope so badly I'm wrong but the breathing 50% on his own means very little. It all comes down to how badly his brain was affected.

This is beyond tragic as it is but hits so close to home personally

My father in law had a heart attack 11 years ago on xmas eve. He was resuscitated and was in the hospital for 10 days before ultimately passing away. The first 7 of those days were spent stressing over his heart & breathing and everyone was hopeful once these vitals improved. Mind you he was very strong and was an athlete. It wasn't until they started testing for brain functions that we knew the true outcome.

So I'm watching with my wife when this all goes down- after her telling me for whatever reason it's been a particularly hard year dealing with the loss of her father. No idea why as it's been 11 years. The whole Hamlin scene brought everything back. Really trying not to project & I keep telling myself he is getting the best care possible. It's been a rough couple days

Just read U.S. District Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil's opinion, leaning heavily on the arguments of Fox's lawyers: The "'general tenor' of the show should then inform a viewer that [Carlson] is not 'stating actual facts' about the topics he discusses and is instead engaging in 'exaggeration' and 'non-literal commentary.' I'm deeply sorry about your father in law and your wife's continued grief from it .

I started reading medical journals, and asking questions to friends that are in the field yesterday ...None of what I read or heard was positive...We're all praying for a miracle from the sounds of it.

His uncle misspoke and he never needed to be resuscitated a second time.

9 mins sounds awful but I believe they were administering o2 to him during this time.

People have drowned for much longer.

My good friend dropped dead at a gym 10 years ago and CPR restarted his heart, only for him to basically come to and vomit back into his throat and lungs and again breathing stopped. He was on life support for weeks showing no brain waves before magically waking up and having his vent pulled. He’s fine today.

Power of prayer is real and the fact he had the best care immediately available - hopefully we continue to hear improving news.

Also to discount the vaccine is worse than suggesting it was the vaccine. All questions must be answered. Why not get to the bottom of it?

I’m not sure they can play that game on that field without very promising news coming out in the next few days. Just my gut feel.

This isn’t claiming anything at all that you’re saying it does. You’re either intentionally being dishonest or don’t really understand what you’re reading/saying.

I know, it’s such a strange situation. They’re only doing a walkthrough today and have no media availability afterwards. Tough to see how they play a game on Sunday without knowing something more concrete about Damar.

I'll bite and keep it cordial. My first comment and hard eye roll by bringing the vaccine into this is tied to the intent of the thread and the situation at hand. I felt this is a sports forum where for the majority people were putting Hamlin's health first. Turning any situation into a "vaccine debate" or political (I'm not at all) always grinds my gears because I just think they are tools to cause arguments and more or less forms of hatred.

Getting into the vaccine stuff pertaining to Hamlin, logically speaking it is okay to wonder or determine how much or if it all it played a factor. However, the largest factor no matter which way you slice it is a 200lb man running faster than any of us can imagine head first into his chest. That impact is what inevitably is to blame. If the vaccine played a role or not would only be slim at best because for the majority of humans we are not having a 200lb athletic freak ram a helmet into our chest.

Which then lands on how come this needs to turn into vaccine or not. To me, the vaccine was created years ago to help slow down a global pandemic, lets not forget that. Everyone understood there could/would be potential side effects, but I repeat...there was a global pandemic. The vaccine helped slow it down, helped limit symptoms for the majority who took it, and inevitably got the world back on track. The vaccine was rushed and of course there are risks to it. We are here two years later and if there were more learnings or serious long term effects...boosters would not keep coming out or being administered. Also, I lob it out, I don't plan on doing any boosters or things like that but I do believe if there was a serious risk posed to the majority of people who live ordinary lives we would know already.

I don't personally care what people want to believe in or not, I just felt this was a strange place to try and put some vaccine conspiracy at a delicate time from a logic/rationale standpoint. The cause was a 200lb freak ramming a helmet into another man's chest. Crazy shit happens. If the vaccine did play a role, note to self, I better not let a very large man who runs a 4.5 40 run into my chest with a football helmet on.

Yeah I had to stop reading medical journals this morning...
The numbers are horrifying when the CPR time is over 3 minutes ...9 minutes wasn't even listed from what I saw .
9 minutes of CPR does not really tell you much. As important as the length is the quality of the CPR, and the down time prior to starting CPR. The medical team in the stadium appeared to be on him quickly, recognize the situation, and provide very good CPR in terms of depth of compressions (all by random reports, but a consistent story). In that case, quick and good CPR makes 9 minutes surely survivable with a good outcome.

Of note, I heard that medical teams at all stadiums practice this exact scenario. If true, it likely saved this young man's life

It does sound like he had some lung issues (likely related to his heart), but a healthy young individual will generally improve from that quickly. Understanding that he has dropped from 100% oxygen to 50% is very positive news, if true

The power of prayer can make miracles happen IMO ...
I'd understand why anyone would be skeptical but twice now I've seen family members/a friend become cancer free when they were told only days remained ....

This is borderline insanity. Almost nothing here is factual.

Most of us in the Husker community were very upset when Bo Pelini slow played Phillips and let him go to Stanford.
Wish I could find the one BILLS drive interview on that topic ...Steve Tasker and Phillips talked about leaving Nebraska for at least 15 minutes ...Remember Phillips blaming himself for being a young dumb kid who thought he knew it all ...Total class act .

Most of us BILLS MAFIA were very upset when the BILLS let Harrison go to the Vikings ...He was extremely active In the community here...

Yeah, Harrison is one of the really, really good ones. He did a lot with West Herr when he was here among many other organizations. He was also the Walter Payton nominee for the Bills one of the seasons he was here.

I've never heard anything negative about Phillips ever. Exact type of kid we should have wanted.

I have a buddy (childhood friend, so going on 40 years now, lol) who has a side business drawing pictures of athletes (Flicktures). I’m sure @DOUBLEUP4LIFE knows of him as the pics are amazing and very, very popular around here.

Anyway, he did one of Harrison Phillips and he always gifted the original to the player…when he met with Harrison he wanted to sign a bunch of them (and if I’m not mistaken the original) and have Scott raffle them off or give them away. Harrison became a friend and they stayed in contact regularly, he is just an incredibly good dude.
