AFC Championship Game: Titans at Chiefs

Tony Corrente is the Head Official
It’s not his crew. It’s an all Star crew.

He was the Head Official for the Week 10 Match up

I cannot find a team in the modern era to have won four consecutive road games in four straight weeks. Can anyone verify.
According to Sportsdatabase, I only see 2 teams to make it to the championship game after 3 road games. '05 season the Panthers lost SU & ATS at Seahawks as 4 point dogs. '13 season the 49ers lost SU & ATS at Seahawks as 4 point dogs. Conference game aside, I see no recent team to win 4 road games.

This Tits team reminds me of a Cinderella story making it deep into the NCAA tournament. Blue chips looking past them and onto the next game only to lose in upset fashion.
NE looked pretty bad this year and their homers agreed of a good chance they’d lose. BAL was clearly caught off guard and already had the chiefs on their mind.
KC should absolutely destroy the titans today. This is the year we do what we should and don’t get let down as a fan base. This year we take care of business and flex on a team that shouldn’t even be in this game.
KC -7
1h -4
1q -0.5
Derrick Henry under 119
This game will be a bloodbath. Tennessee will be put to pasture.

with the weather being as frigid as it is there, and anyone that has played feel free to chime in. Who takes the worst of the hit? Defensive player or the back/player running after the catch/hole?

I would not compare NFL football to college basketball, especially in the playoffs. Not even remotely similar in any fashion whatsoever.

So you believe the Titans are a better football team than the Ravens?
I’m comparing the 2 sports on the specific scenario.

It is not a similar scenario. That’s the point. No NFL team is overlooking a team in the playoffs. It’s not like college basketball where 64 teams get in and some of them are small obscure schools who haven’t played anyone.

As he stated, it's not a similar scenario in the least bit. Secondly, your use of "we" lends to the possibility that you're being just a tad bit biased in any of your reasoning. Should be a good game, definitely seems to shape up as a better game than the 2nd one today, but who knows right?

Yep, got no problem with you saying KC is the better team (although that could be debated considering Tennessee beat them head-to-head), but in college basketball a team like Duke could play a team they’ve never heard of before with a roster full of kids who could not play for duke. Plus you’re talking about a bunch of college students not professional athletes. Kansas City may win today but Tennessee deserves to be here and they’re not here because other teams overlooked them. It was just a bad analogy in my eyes. Agree to disagree I guess.

My plays in this game FWIW:

Chiefs -6.5 -120 2units (wager made Jan 16)

Titans +7.5 -115 3units (wager made Jan 17)

Mahomes Under 310.5 pass yds -115 2 units (wager made 30 minutes ago, see now juiced to -125)

10 pt Teaser made wager Jan 14th: Under 62.5 Tits/Chiefs...SF +2.5....Under 55 SF/GB for 2 unit

10 pt Teaser made wager Jan 17th: Over 42.5 Tits/Chiefs...GB +17.5...Over 36.5 SF/GB 1 unit

1/2 Unit to win 2 units parlay SF ML/ Tits ML (wager made Jan 15th)

Wanted the game Under, but line has moved agst me to 51.5

I think this game could go either way...thus the attempt at small middle & wagered both sides b/c of doubt and not committed

Probably try to hit a +400 rev on Tits/Under. As a 9ers fan I’d prefer to see the Titans with 2 weeks to prepare rather than face the walrus with extended prep time. As stated before it would be a statistical anomaly for a Reid team to even show or have a pulse here.

Titans’ physicality would have no chance vs the 9ers in a potential SB matchup. You could lay 14 alt line with a ton of confidence.

This is a tangent but when talking about the Titans upset of Baltimore, let's not forget they were out gained by 230 yards. Not a misprint. They were out gained by almost 60 yards a quarter.

Also if Patriots can run for a yard at the goal line, Titans might have lost the wild card too.

Magical run and their run game matches up really well here but they truly are a cinderella.

I always think it’s funny when the “home” team is thought to benefit from cold and home conditions. Because Rodgers has always been limited in ice bowl conditions because he’s a Cali kid. Is Maholmes accustomed to freezing temps growing up in Texas? Who knows.

lucky fucks and I still stand by my comment that any of the other bad teams in the league are closer to winning a SB than they are. I’d stand by that even if they were IN the SB.

He played in Lubbock. That's considered Wisconsin compared to the rest of the state(at times).

If both games were a pick would everyone be on KC and SF. I ask because I have a future with both going to SB and wondering if I should hammer both dogs

Maybe. The publicity helps. He has to spread the bets out because most US books won't go very high on these. He seems to have good connects in Miss though.
The guy from the Borgada was on the Lombardi Line this morning when the play hit the Mississippi casino. They are prepared for it. Just like when he was hedging against his losses on the furniture promotion.

If sports gambling ever comes to Texas........wholly Jesus, the amount of money saved on gas/jet fuel.
