Our season high winning streak has now hit 6 in a row with a dominating 8-1 win last night our record is now 33-44 ~~ Minor pitched 6 innings allowing 3 hits 1 run which was earned ~~ Choo knocked in three runs 2 of them courtesy of his 14th HR of the season ~~ Mazara & Beltre each knocked in 2 ~~ Gallo 0-4 but didn’t strikeout now batting .192
been a pleasant week for a change
 
won our 7th in a row 9-6 the record is now 34-44 ~~ Gallardo pitched 5.1 innings giving up 6 hits 4 runs all of them earned allowing 2 HR’s while gaining his first win of the year ~~ Kela recorded his 18th save ~~ Chirinos & Beltre each hit one HR ~~ Chirinos knocked in 3 runs ~~ Mazara & DeShields each knocked in 2 ~~ Gallo went 1-2 no strikeouts left the game with left hamstring tightness
 
our win streak is over we lost a tough one 2-0 the record stands at 34-45 ~~ Bartolo gave us 7 innings allowing 7 hits 2 runs both earned & striking out 5 ~~ we struck out 15 times as a team ~~ we mustered only 3 hits ~~ Gallo went 0-3 striking out twice now batting .192

We won 7-4 our record stands at 35-45 ~~ Cole was just ok pitching 5 innings allowing 9 hits 4 runs all of them earned striking out 5 giving up 2-HR’s ~~ Kela got his 19th save ~~
Andrus & Chirinos each knocked in 2 ~~ Choo went 3-5 knocking in 1 ~~ Gallo came in to run for Guzman in the 6th still batting .191
 
We lost 3-2 our record is now 35-46 ~~ Bibens-Dirkx pitched well 5 innings allowing 2 hits no runs struck out 6 ~~ Diekman had a rare off night .2 of a inning 3 hits 3 runs allowed all earned ~ Odor & Chirinos each knocked in a run ~~ Mazara went 3-5 ~~ as a team we struck out 11 times ~~ Gallo went 0-3 striking out 2 more times now batting .189 ~~

At the half way point of the season 81 games played ~~ 35-46
Just about where I expected them to be, only a few bright signs Choo,Beltre & Mazara ~~ Kela has been very good ~~ Gallo is at his all time worst totally lost at the plate ~~
Expect quite a few trades as we will be sellers at the trade deadline

We won 11-3 the record is now 37-46 ~~ Gallardo looked very good pitched 7.1 innings 4 hits 3 runs all earned striking out 7 ~~ Odor Chirinos Mazara Gallo Choo all hit HR’s ~~ Mazara & Chirinos each knocked in 2 ~~ Choo knocked in 2 ~ Beltre had a rare off night going 0-4 ~~ Gallo went 1-3 striking out 1 more time now batting .192

We are 12-2 over last 14 games ~~ not sure if it’s been the level of competition we’ve been playing or all of a sudden we’ve woken up
After today’s game we rest tomorrow & then play the Astros for two
 
Hot team. I think I posted a week ago this team should be bet every day until they lose 2 in a row. Beltre and Andrus just solidify the lineup so well. Mazara going to be a star.

We lost again 5-4 got swept by the Astros dropping our record to 38-49 ~~ Minor pitched 6 innings allowing 7 hits 4 runs 3 of them earned striking out 4 ~~ Choo Profar Odor & Chirinos each knocked in a run ~~ Choo Andrus Profar & Guzman each had 2 hits ~~ Gallo went 0-5 striking out 3 times now batting .191

Lost last night 3-1 dropping our record to 39-50 ~~ Bartolo gave us 8 innings 5 hits 3 runs all of them earned giving up 2 HR’s striking out 3 ~~ Choo led off the game with his 17th HR one of his 2 hits on the night ~~ we only mustered 5 hits the entire game as a team we struck out 12 times ~~ Gallo had the night off
 
Quick loss for us yesterday down 7-0 after the bottom of the 1st & lost 7-2 our record stands at 39-51 ~~ Cole had nothing 0.2 5 hits 7 runs 3 of them earned & gave up one HR ~~ Choo & Odor each had 2 hits ~~ we struck out 9 times as a team ~~ Gallo went 0-3 striking out once
 
Got a very well pitched game & won 3-0 record is now 40-51 ~~ Bibens-Dirkx pitched 5.1 allowing just 3 hits 0 runs while striking out 5 ~~ Kela got his 22nd save ~~ Guzman went 3/4 knocking in 1 run & Profar knocked in 1 as well ~~ Choo recorded 1 hit to keep his streak alive to 47 games & is now the Texas Rangers record holder ~~ Gallo went 0-3 striking out 1 time now batting .188
Off to Boston to play the Sox could be some very high scoring games
 
Couldn’t get a timely hit & got shutout 5-0 record is now 40-52 ~~ Minor pitched well 5.1 innings 6 hits 2 runs both of them earned ~~ Choo Choo had the night off as a team we only mustered 5 hits & went 0-5 with RISP ~~ Gallo came in to play LF & went 0-2 striking out 1 time now batting .187 ~~ It’s time to sit Gallo the bad certainly outweighs the occasional good he produces
 
Gallardo just didn’t have it last night we lost 8-4 dropping our record to 40-53 ~~ He lasted just 5 innings allowing 7 hits 6 runs all of them earned ~~ Choo extended his streak to 48 games even though he went 0-3 but walked twice ~~ Odor & Guzman each had 2 hits ~~ Gallo went 1-2 drove in 2 runs with a double & actually didn’t strike out ~ Beltre went 0-4 with 3 strikeouts
 
Got swept away in Boston 4-2 dropping our record to 40-54 ~~ Colon gave us 6 innings allowing 9 hits 4 runs 3 of them earned ~~ Choo had the night off ~ Andrus went 3/5 ~ Mazara went 2/4 ~ Mazara & Chirinos each knocked in 1 run ~ Gallo went 0-4 striking out all 4 times now batting .186 ~~ worst stat of the night as a team we struck out 18 times ~~ Chris Sale struck out 12 over 7 innings
 
We won 5-4 record is now 41-54 ~~ Hamels was ok going 6.1 innings allowing 5 hits 4 runs all of them earned ~~ Kela recorded his 23rd save ~~ Rua delivered the big hit while coming in as a pinch hitter blasting a 3 run HR ~~ Choo extends his streak to 49 games with 1 hit ~~ Gallo went 1-3 hitting his 23rd HR batting avg is now a paltry .188 ~~Mazara went 2-4
 
Lost a very well pitched game 1-0 record stands at 41-55 ~~ Perez pitched so good 7.1 gave up only 5 hits 1 run which was earned ~~ we only mustered 4 hits Choo did extend his streak to 50 games getting 1 hit ~~ as a team we struck out 12 times a terrible habit this team has gotten into over the past 2 seasons ~~ Gallo went 0-3 striking out twice BA .186
 
Scored 4 in the top of the first then gave back 5 in the third and lost the game 6-5 our record at the break stands at 41-56 ~~ it’s actually worse than I expected ~~ we strike out way to many times Gallo even though has 23 HR’s he’s batting .187 ~~ Choo has been phenomenal has reached base in 51 straight games and batting .293 he most likely will get traded thus even a bleaker last 65 games ~ Kela has been stellar as our closer ~~ Mazara has been good as well
We most likely will lose 45 of remaining 65 giving us 61 wins for the season meaning we’ve lost 100 games
 
We lost 9-8 in 11 innings record is now 41-57 ~~ Perez lasted 5.1 innings allowing 10 hits 6 runs all earned & he gave up 2 HR’s while striking out 4 ~~ Gallo hit 2 HR’s now has 24 on the season going 2-5 knocking in 3 runs batting .190 ~~ Chirinos hit his 12th HR ~~ Choo Choo went 2/6 extending his streak to 52 games on base ~~ Odor went 3/6 ~~ we struck out 15 times as a team same old same old here
 
Got slaughtered 16-3 the record is now 41-58 ~~ Colon lasted only 4.2 innings allowing 8 hits 5 runs all of them earned ~ Bibens-Dirkx got torched as well 4.0 innings 13 hits 11 runs all of them earned & gave up 3 HR’s ~~ Choo went 0-4 and his streak ends at 52 ~~ Odor mustered 2 hits Beltre hit his 5th HR ~ Gallo goes 0-3 striking out once batting .188
 
We won 5-0 the record stands at 42-57 ~~ Gallardo pitched a dominating game 6.1 innings allowing 3 hits 0 runs ~~ Odor was the batting star going 3/3 hitting his 7th HR ~~ Gallo went 0/2 now batting .187
 
We got lit up last night 15-3 the record is now 42-58 ~~ Hamels pitched 5 innings allowing 9 hits 7 runs all of them earned and gave up 2 HR’s ~~ Andrus hit his 3rd HR it was a 2 run shot ~ Gallo had the night off
 
We lost 13-10 record is now 42-59 ~~ Minor was fine going 5 innings giving up 4 hits 2 runs both of them earned ~~ Diekman was out of the inning but Andrus made a routine ground ball DP and botched it ~~ Kela came in with the lead & proceeded to puke it up finally Dirkx spit the bit ~~ Andrus hit a Grand Slam ~~ Gallo went 1/3 hitting his 25th HR striking out 1 batting .188
 
Been on a slide in JUL after making a little run in June.
I noticed there record at home is especially bad when temp > 95 and that to me is surprising in that they should be more used to the weather than opponents??
4-9 this year and 6-11 last 2 years
odd they only had 4 games over 95 degrees in 2017 and already 13 this year...must be hotter than hell in deep tex

Been crazy hot last week 4 days in a row over 100+
 
Lost again 6-5 record is now 42-60 ~~ Perez pitched well 6 innings allowing 7 hits 1 run which was earned ~~ Choo went 0-4 he’s been cold since the all star break ~~ Beltre mustered a 2/4 day ~~ we struck out 12 times as a team ~~ Gallo went 1/3 striking out twice now batting .190
 
We lost 7-6 record is now 42-61 ~~ Colon was knocked around giving up 9 hits 6 runs all of them earned ~~ Beltre 3/5 ~~ Choo 2/4 ~~ as a team we struck out 11 times ~~ Gallo went 1/4 striking out once batting .190 he’s played in 99 games striking out 138 times

I appreciate that B.A.R it’s a tough team to follow & blog about... was hoping things could have been better this season when in fact it’s worse

I see Kela & Beltre both gone wish someone would take Gallo
 
Won our 4th in a row but lost our closer to the Pirates. The bats came alive in Arizona winning 9-5 record is now 46-61 ~~ Perez gave us 5 innings allowing 6 hits 4 runs but only 1 of them was earned striking out 5~~ Choo hit 2 HR’s his 19th & 20th of the year knocked in 4 runs ~~ Odor hit his 10th HR ~~ Gallo went 0-5 striking out 2 more times now batting .187 ~~
Our star closer was traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates Keone Kela who has converted 24/25 save opportunities this season ~~ 96% percent save rate ~~ I for one will miss him he grew up & will be a quality arm for the Pirates

An old fashioned butt whupping last night lost 6-0 record now stands at 46-62 ~~ Colonpitched 5 innings giving up 7 hits 5 runs all of them earned ~~ the team only mustered 4 hits while striking out 12 times ~~ Choo Odor Beltre all went 0-4 ~~ Gallo had the day off~~
On a sad night one of my personal favorites & good friend of mine was traded to Arizona. Jake Diekman has battled publicly through IBS and now has it under control. He & Amanda have done so much for so many with the GutItOut foundation. I wish him well in his new home.....
 
We whipped the Orioles 17-8 our record is now 47-62~~ Gallardo was ok pitching 5.1 innings allowing 9 hits 5 runs all of them earned struck out 4 giving up 2 HR’s ~~ Profar Odor & Gallo all hit HR’s ~~ Profar knocked in 4 ~~ Odor & Andrus each knocked in 3 ~~ Gallo & Kiner-Falefa both knocked in 2 ~~ Gallo went 3/5 raising his avg to .193 of course he struck out one time ~~ as a team we struck out 8 times
 
We found a team we can beat won 11-3 record is now 48-62 ~~ Jurado pitched 5 innings giving up 6 hits 2 runs both earned ~~ Odor knocked in 4 runs hitting a grand slam ~~ Chirinos & Gallo each hit a HR ~~ Chirinos his 15th & Gallo his 28th ~~ Gallo went 1-4 now batting .193 ~~
 
We’ve beaten the hapless O’s now 3 in a row winning 3-1 our record is now 48-62 ~~ Minor pitched very well 7 innings only 4 hits 1 run which was earned striking out 6 ~~ Leclerc got his 1st save ~~ Gallo hit a 2 run HR his 29th of the season & has homered in 3 straight games he did go 1-4 while striking out 2 more times now batting .194 ~~ Odor went 2/3 knocking in our other run~~
We go for the 4 game sweep today

We won 11-4 record is now 49-64 ~~ Bartolo lasted 7 innings allowing 8 hits 2 HR’s and 4 runs all of them earned ~~ Odor knocked in 4 & hitG his 14th HR ~~ Profar hit his 12th HR it was a 3 run blast ~~Gallo went 2/3 and actually didn’t strike out in fact as a team we only struck out 2 times a seasons low ~~ Gallo now batting .196
 
We won the game & series 11-7 our record now stands at 50-64 ~~ Gallardo pitched well again giving us 6 innings allowing only 3 hits 2 runs both of them earned ~~ Gallo hit 2 HR’s his 30th & 31st as he went 3-5 knocking in 4 runs he now has 71 RBI’s & lifting his BA to .202 he did strike out once~~ Gallo isn’t worth the risk for his rewards I realize he could hit 40 HR’s but how did he help the team? We are still a poorly coached club who lacks discipline at the plate over past 2 seasons ~~ Beltre & Guzman both knocked in 2 runs ~~
We are off to NY to play the Yankees for 4 games

We smacked around Tanaka winning 12-7 record is now 51-65 ~~ Minor pitched well going 5.2 innings allowing 6 hits 4 runs all earned ~~ Guzman hit 3-HR’s two of them off Tanaka driving in 3 runs going 3/5 ~~ Beltre knocked in 4 including a 2 run HR off of Tanaka ~~ Andrus went 4/5 knocking in 3 runs ~~ Gallo had the night off
