2015-2016 Trade Deadline News, Rumors etc

Expectation is that Bosh has clots again. No word if he will be able to play on blood thinners.

Also heat would really like to move on from Dragic. Experiment over as far as he is concerned.

The Pelicans have reportedly had discussions with the Bucks about acquiring Greg Monroe, according to Zach Lowe of ESPN.

Lowe reports that the Pelicans are looking for a bruiser to put alongside Anthony Davis and have gone back and forth with the Bucks about the deal. We'll keep an eye on this situation, but John Henson and Miles Plumlee could be in for a minutes boost if Monroe is moved.

The Bulls have pitched a deal to the Raptors that would Taj Gibson to Toronto in exchange for Patrick Patterson, according to Zach Lowe of ESPN.

The Bulls are looking to lower their luxury tax bill and acquiring the stretch forward would help them accomplish that goal. There isn't much substance to this rumor just yet as the teams have only had initial discussions, but neither player would see a huge change to their fantasy value if this deal comes to fruition.

Rudy Yag has been made available for trade, according to Chris Mannix of Yahoo Sports.

Mannix reports that Yag has been put on the trade block by the Kings, along with Ben McLemore and Marco Belinelli. While it's unlikely that all three players will be moved, a Yag trade would open up more minutes for both McLemore and Belinelli if they stay in Sacramento. We'll keep an eye on the situation, but Omri Casspi would also be in line for a big value boost if Yag is moved.

why?

The Timberwolves are interested in acquiring Miles Plumlee, according to Chris Broussard of ESPN.

The Wolves are in the market for a big man and Plumlee looks to be towards the top of their wish list. Plumlee has been starting for the Bucks, but is still only averaging 15.6 minutes per game over his last five. A change of scenery could boost his value a tad, but Plumlee isn't worth owning in most fantasy leagues.

You guys are reading the super situation wrong with Charlotte.

There is one, that isn't even a true one. It is an inter-conference one.

You list two in your thread above, that's where I took it from. Am I missing something?

The Magic and Pistons have reportedly been progressing on a deal that would send Brandon Jennings and Ersan Ilyasova to Orlando in exchange for Tobias Harris

Courtney Lee has been sent to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for P.J. Hairston, Brian Roberts and two second-round picks, according to sources of Adrian Wojnarowski.

Lee could be a starter in Charlotte with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (shoudler) done for the year, but he wasn't doing much as a starter in Memphis, so his fantasy value doesn't change all that much with the Hornets. With Lee no longer in Memphis, Mario Chalmers will have an easier path to minutes and he's someone to consider as a speculative add in deeper leagues.

Chris Andersen has reportedly been traded to the Grizzlies.

Brian Roberts has been sent to Miami as part of a three-team deal involving Courtney Lee.

Pretty sure Tobias has no family in Florida. Immediate fam lives in NY. He isn't married or has kids. Feel for anyone who has to make that move though. That's why they get paid the big bucks.

yeah poor guy :bigcry:

The Rockets and Hornets have reportedly been discussing a potential Dwight Howard trade, but they have not been able to fine a workable deal.

Howard would likely be a much larger part of the offense in Charlotte, so his fantasy value would see a boost if the two sides are able to come together on a deal. Al Jefferson would need to be included in order for the numbers to work in any potential D-12 deal, and his value would take a slight hit as a member of the Rockets.

Hornets would be a great fit for howard.

Coming up soon...

Haven't been on tweeter yet today or looked hard, anything happening?

'Stons aquire Motiejunas and Marcus Thornton for Joel Anthony and a top-8 protected 1st Rd pick.

Very nice activity... bravo wizards

Markieff Morris has been traded to the Wizards in exchange for a protected first-round pick, Kris Humphries and DeJuan Blair.

Outside of Marcin Gortat, the Wizards don't have any reliable power forwards unless they go small with Jared Dudley and Otto Porter, so it's a decent gamble for Washington as they look to get back in the playoff hunt. Morris gets a fresh start with his new team and has the potential to thrive next to John Wall, Bradley Beal, Porter and Gortat. Morris is a volatile asset because of his lack of maturity, but it makes sense to own him in standard leagues right now.

People are blasting the Wiz, but I don't think its that bad. Good bargain deal and still have money to spend on a max and bring back Beal.

These trades tell me that the rest of the league has conceded that the Dubs are repeating this season.

Looking ahead to next year.

wow

Great deals for Wizards and Pistons.
Don't get the Grizzlies.
Thunder added the right player to challenge the Dubs.

Trade deadline has passed, Twink.

Anderson staying in Nawlins for now.

Cavs got their stretch-4 in Frye.

Great trade for the Cavs, but don't get why he hardly got any minutes in Orlando...
Frye is a great locker room guy and a great shooter - just what Cavs needed...

Frye is super streaky.... when he's bad.... yikes

lebron gonna teach him how to shoot better?

I don't see it that way. There aren't that many teams that have thrown in the towel on the season yet... unlike last year. It's not just about winning it all. Making the playoffs is very important, especially for young teams like Portland, Utah, Denver, N.O..... the all still believe they can get in.

In the east, the wizards offense isn't the problem at all.... its the defense and its rebounding. Cleaning up the boards will go a long way. The wiz made the best move of the day in terms of filling the biggest need. That's for sure. Now if it translates to better results is going to come down how they gel and of course hopefully better health the rest of the way... east is no joke this season

Doesn't matter how competitive it appears right now. East is the Cavs and that's it.

No-one is beating them in the ECF's.
