0 Days till the first full Saturday of the season....

Appreciate everyone contributing to the Smails Thread. He always had some great historical stuff in here and that's what I'd like to continue year in and year out. It isn't about putting our favorite schools players with each number of in fighting. It is to celebrate the buildup and start of the season. We can't duplicate his thread, he was the best. We can only hope to achieve as much as possible and keep it going...with respect to all.

A side note...I love history...and I was talking to PV1 weeks ago about who the picture would be for #2... And he said Deion...a great choice...and I said Chuck...another great choice...but..more than anything we started reminiscing about parts of our childhood football memories... That's what I LOVE about the Smails Thread!

What's funny is I remember the #2 as representing the number of victories the Cyclones would have in a season as I grew up, before scholly limits and OU/Nebraska would show up at road games with 120 players...duplicate numbers ftw

Ah those were the days

I think we all, me included, would benefit from stepping back and figuring out how to do a better job of showing others more respect, even those from rival schools
